Last Updated 3/9/2011 FSP Code 1.1 Furry Sexual Preference Code Inspired by The Geek Code. Many ideas taken from The Sex Code. Some ideas taken from The Furry Code, The Yiff Code, and The Pearce Code. As such, in all cases, the code is intended to be used as a description of an online avatar, the character you play. No part of this code is used to describe the real life player behind the avatar. If you want to describe the player, you should use the Sex Code above. Why did I create this? Wixxx, as useful a tool as it is, simply allows you to flag interests, without allowing you to specify level of interest, or disinterest. In some cases, wixxx has flags for different levels of interest, which then are all too often used together due to the search feature. Wixxx flags are also assumed to be things you like. There is no way to indicate those you dislike. Further, you are limited to the flags the system operator chooses to include. While in some places these are quite limited, giving little to pick from, in other places the list is immense, giving too many to choose. Long lists lead to overly long wixxx settings, which reduces usefulness instead of improving it. I wanted to create a compact listing of interests, allowing for specification of interest with a wealth of modifiers. It includes some physical description categories as well. While I consider this a supplement to wixxx, for many, it should be able to function as a replacement. Sadly, the search feature would be prohibitively difficult. It is worth noting that Tapestries Muck has a wixxx program that allows you to specify the level of interest in a flag, from 1 to 5, hating it at 1, loving it at 5. Why isn't there an HTML encoder/decoder for this, you might ask? Two reasons: first, it defeats the purpose of reading through the written code and learning it; second, this code is prohibitively complex and could not easily be coded into a webpage. That said, I wouldn't object if anyone else wanted to create such a page. Suggestions and requests are very welcome. It is my goal to be able to accurately reflect the distinct preferences of anyfur. Most categories will have assigned meanings for each type of rating, if applicable. Not all categories use the * or = rating mark. + You have a positive response to the category. The + can be repeated for emphasis. - You have a negative response to the category. The - can be repeated for emphasis. * You have an unusual response to the category. The * can be repeated for emphasis. * is often used for a strong positive response. = You have an unusual response to the category. The = can be repeated for emphasis. = is sometimes used for a strong negative response. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Modifiers ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Not all ratings will be straightforward. So here are the various ways to modify a rating to suit you better. % You've never tried this category. Any other rating included is used to indicate where you think your rating would be. Place this after the category letter(s), but before the rating. ~ This indicates uncertainty in your rating. You might range up or down a point, but probably not more than one point. Place this after the rating. | This is used to indicate you have two distinct ratings for the category. Z+++|--- means you are either Z+++ or Z--- at any given time. If one is more likely, indicate it first. | can be used more than once, indicating three values or more. It also means you are not any of the values that may fall in between the different ratings. & This is also used to indicate you have two distinct ratings for the category. Z+++&--- means you are both Z+++ and Z--- at the same time. & can be used more than once as well, indicating you are three or more values at the same time. As above, you are not any of the in between values. Combining | and & is possible. They should be read as the boolean OR for |, and boolean AND for &. & takes precedence over |. This modifier is not always required. Z*== means exactly the same thing as Z*&==. However, Z+&++ or Z&+ would be rather hard to indicate without the &. () This is used to indicate a small range of values. If for category Z, you normally are Z+, but can range down to Z---, you would indicate this as Z+(---). This means you could also fall into Z--, Z-, and plain Z at times. If you want to indicate you are only Z+ or Z---, not the intermediate values, use the | modifier for Z+|---. Also, it is legal to have Z+(++|--), which would mean you range anywhere from Z-- to Z++, but most often fall at Z+. @ Your rating for this category varies very widely. It should replace the rating marks, as in Z@. If you have a default rating, but can range all over, indicate this as follows: Z+(@). You are mostly Z+, but can range all over. < This is used to indicate a old rating, that has likely changed recently. To use this, place the old rating before the <, and the new rating after, as follows. Z-<+ would indicate your rating used to be Z-, but is now Z+. > This is used to indicate a desired rating. Place your current rating before the >, and the desired rating after it. Z+>++ indicates you are currently Z+, but wish to be Z++. It is possible to combine < and >. Z-<+>++ would indicate your rating used to be Z-, but is now Z+, and you wish it to be Z++. ; This is used when your rating for receiving and giving differs for a category. Before the ;, indicate your rating for receiving that category, and indicate your rating for giving after the ;. For example, Z+;- means when receiving Z, you are Z+, and when giving, Z-. A rating of Z+;! means you are Z+ for receiving Z, and will not give Z. : This is used when a category has more than one closely associated rating. Categories that use this include it in the definitions. [] This is used to indicate any kind of exception or qualification that needs to be made regarding a rating. For example: 'Gxmf W[Gm]=[Gf]++' means that can gendermorph into male and female, when you are male you are always nude, and when you are female you have an impressive wardrobe. It is also quite useful combined with ; above. For example, if you had the following code: 'Gm Pb Xo++;[Pf]+&[Pm]-' it would mean you are male, bisexual, love receiving oral sex, like giving oral sex to females, and do not like giving oral sex to males. If your code was: 'Gf Po Xo[Pb]++;+' it would mean you are female, heterosexual, love receiving oral sex bisexually, and like giving oral sex (to males). If you wanted the exception to apply to both receiving and giving, the following: 'Gm Pb X{o[Po]}++;+' means male, bisexual, love receiving oral sex and like giving oral sex heterosexually. Please note that there are numerous ways to construct these codes with identical meaning. 'Gm Pb Xo[Pf]++;[Pf]+' is just one other way to say the same thing as the last code. You may pick whichever makes the most sense to you, however the shortest encoding possible is recommended. {} This is a grouping modifier. It is used when the combination of modifiers and ratings become convoluted to an extent that makes decoding difficult. In a category that has multiple aspects being rated, you can group them together when they share the same rating. For example, p{VLCH}@(p) means you like a partner with any kind of vagina, labia, clit or hood, any of which could also be pierced. ^ This is the fetish marker. This is used to indicate a link between categories. It is placed after each of the ratings to be linked together, and is repeatable like a rating. If more than one link is desired, enclose a number between two markers, ^1^ on each linked category for the first link, ^2^ and up for subsequent links. Use of this marker should be minimal. $ This category earns you money. Z$ means you make money doing Z. Z>$ means you want to make money doing Z. Z;$ means you make money giving Z. (In-game finances only, please!) # You would prefer to keep this rating a secret. It should replace the rating marks, as in Z#. ? This can indicate lack of knowledge, lack of interest, or that you haven't decided where to place yourself yet. It should replace the rating marks, as in Z?. ! This means you do not take part in the category at all. For historical reasons, it may be placed before the category letter if no other modifiers are used. It should replace rating marks when used, but can be used in conjunction with other modifiers, such as with Z+|!, indicating you are normally Z+, but you are sometimes Z!. p This is a special prefix. Placed before the main category letter(s), it indicates the rating you desire a partner to have. a-z & 0-9 Many categories have special meanings for some letters of the alphabet. These letters will generally follow the category letter and precede the symbols of a rating. Walkthru: The next thing we add is 'Gxfs', indicating a the ability to gendermorph to female and shemale. The order implies that female might be used more often than shemale. This describes a character who has fur in winter, but none in summer, and overall has fewer animal traits than most, lacking claws or especially large teeth.
