It seems that, unfortunately, AOL's browser tends to show graphics as ... rather un-nice, by default. I question AOL's abilities at being an ISP by this (not to mention other things on top of that), but...
If you are having problems seeing my images as they should be, because AOL is compressing them and maybe even changing the size of the images, here are some instructions on how to fix that (other than doing what the above image suggests!):
AOL 4
- Look for the button at the top of the AOL window that says: "My AOL" and click it.
- Click the selection: "Preferences"
- Click the button within the Preferences window that says: "WWW".
- Find: "Temporary Internet Files" and press the "Delete" button. At the next screen leave "Delete all subscription content" unchecked and select OK.
- Select the tab that says "Web Graphics"
- There is a checkbox that says "Use Compressed Graphics". Make sure this box is NOT checked. (When this box is checked, graphics will download quicker, but the quality of the images will be VERY poor and often have lines and other flaws).
- Click "OK" to accept the changes and exit.
- Press the "Reload" button on your browser to see the changes. Remember to "Reload" any pages you are re-visiting to load better images
AOL 3
- Look for the button at the top of the AOL Internet Browser that says: "Prefs". Click "Prefs"
Remember to "Reload" any pages you are re-visiting to load better images.
Back to my main page, noframes navigation, or go here if you're missing the left-hand navigation frame!
