Well, here's a day by day report on both my Contiki and AX trip(s)!! The photos are at the bottom of each page!

19th July 1999

My last day in the US ... it's sad to have to go home! :(

The group had decided to meet for breakfast, at the Hilton, so I turned up there after doing some packing.

We had a good breakfast, all chatting and stuff, and half of them decided that they were going to go to Disneyland.

I'd arranged to go meet my family (who I'd never met before) who lived in LA... so I couldn't go to Disneyland.

I said goodbye to everyone, which was sad... and went back to my room to finish packing.

Afterwards, some of my family members came and picked me up... we had lunch together, and then went to my grandad's aunt's place. The rest of the family was to come around for dinner, so I just rested for the afternoon.

We had an early dinner, and about 10 family members turned up, and I got to meet them which was nice.

Afterwards they dropped me off at the airport, and I caught my flight home...

Ah, it was sad to come back. Another 12 hour flight, an hour at Auckland airport, and another hour delayed flight while waiting for the computer system to come back online a storm to clear, a three or so hour flight back to Melbourne ... and then I was home.

Back in cold, overcast Melbourne.

I want to be back overseas, not here in winter! It's so sad to come home from a fun holiday with lots of cool people!

I'll have to start thinking about my next holiday soon .... maybe Egypt next year, on another Contiki tour, with a stop over in LA for AX2000....?

I wish I was still on holidays!!!!
