25th June 2000
Nat, Rob and myself (the only ones left in Hawaii, besides Dan - he was off surfing after his job was over for the day. ^_~ ) all met up and went off to the Ala Moana Shopping Centre for the day. (Or, at least, for part of the day).
We took the US$1 bus and eventually got there. It was huge! I'm not sure if even Southland was bigger, but that's a toss up. This was the day for last moment shopping - it was Nat and Rob's last day in Hawaii.
Starting with breakfast (oh, yeah! A simple breakfast, instead of a whole pile of eggs and sausages and bacon and bread and everything else that I was given while in Hawaii! I had a ham and cheese croisant! Heaven. ^_^ ), we then headed our seperate ways to see what we wanted to see, shop for what we wanted to shop for, and decided to meet up for lunch again, at the food court.
The best part of that day was finding the massage chairs in the Japanese department store - Shirokiya. It's kind of like Daimaru in Melbourne, but Daimaru doesn't (to my knowledge) have massage chairs.
There were three of them, and I tried each one out for its full cycle. I could have sat there all day... *dreamy sigh*
We returned back to Waikiki after lunch, and arranged to meet for dinner. Nat and Rob, I believe, went to have a nap. I did my washing. ;p
We went out to Burgers in Paradise (expensive! :p ) for dinner, but they had a great drink - Black Sands. I don't know what it was, but it was a chocolate-type cocktail with crumbled Oreo cookies to make the 'sand'. Anyone got a recipe for something similar...?! ^_^
We said our goodbyes... and each went off. Me to bed, and them to the airport, to head off to their next destinations. Leaving is sad...
Sorry, I didn't take any photos today...
