Gendo pulled off his shirt and tossed it on one of the boxes. Looking at Yui, who was looking at him, he turned and unbuckled his belt. Taking a deep breath, he undid his pants and pushed them down.

He heard the rustle of covers again, and when he turned around, kicking his pants away, Yui was holding up the blanket for him.

"I can almost hear it," she said quietly.

"Hear what?" Gendo squeaked.

"Your heart beat."

He wondered if she also heard his heart stop right then. If she talked like that all the time, he would do anything she wanted him to. Shuffling across the floor, his bare feet like lumps of concrete, Gendo stopped at the side of the bed.

Resist. Don't do such a crazy thing. She's too young. You're too old. What's wrong with you?

Gendo turned off his internal warning system and slid beneath the covers. The first sensation, her bare legs against his sent his temperature right up. When they were both awake and sober, when it wasn't a hazy dream...

Then his bare chest against hers, stomachs pressed against one another, pelvises almost grinding together, separated only by two thin layers of material... "Yui," Gendo gasped, his hands moving over her skin.

She didn't bother to answer with words, merely capturing his mouth with her own, putting her arm over him. It took everything she had not to move wildly against him and burn off the lust that was eating her up. His skin against hers... That was all it took.

Almost. Almost, but not quite. Gendo had been right. When his hands moved lower, to push down her panties, her arms worked their way between his and his body, forcing them away.

Understanding her actions, Gendo moved his hands back up and stopped moving as forcefully against her as he had been. Needing to breathe, he pulled back and took a big gulp of air.

"I'm sorry," Yui whispered. "You're right."

"Don't be sorry. Especially not for that."

His fingertips wandered down her cheek. "That was... almost more than I could handle."

"I... I didn't want to be a tease. I wanted..."

"Shh." A tease? Not really. More of a... vixen really. "I think you just need to learn how much power you have over me, and how dangerous that can be at times."

"Stop joking, Gendo."

"What happened to Gen-chan? I liked that. Coming from you."

Instead of answering, Yui kissed him again, with the same intensity as before. All questions and answers were lost in it.

Gasping again, for oxygen and his wits, Gendo shook his head. "It's not right, is it?"

"Not... quite," Yui spoke quietly. "Even though I'd like it to be." Two layers... It'd be so easy to overcome, and he'd be willing... If only she could bring herself to do it.

"I love you, you little tease," whispered Gendo, kissing her on the cheek.

"The time is going to be right one day," Yui promised, kissing him in return.

"And until then... you don't mind..." He let his words trail off, confident she would know exactly what he was thinking.

The smile she flashed was all he needed. "Until then," she said anyway, "yes. I wouldn't want you walking around and being a grump all day."

"You definitely know how to... lift my mood."

"Now who's playing word games?" Yui asked, noting his grin. "Besides... I'm hungry."

Gendo laid back and groaned. A cold shower... necessary... fast.
