Nightelf's Elysium

Tired of classes? Just need a break from the daily grind? Want to read some interesting anime fanfiction? Well then, sit down and enjoy yourself!

This is a picture of me, Nicholas Leifker, also known as the Nightelf. And I look so innocent here...

The last revision was on May 5, 2002. Added four stories to the fanfic section and removed "Instinct" because I no longer feel comfortable having it up on my site.  Also put up a bit of fanart on the Sunrise page and a couple of minifics in the Leftovers area.

This page includes most of the stories I've posted here and there, as well as a couple of links. Hopefully, I'll get some more stuff up later, as I improve it over time.

My fanfics

Writing is something I do for the enjoyment of it. While I'd definitely like to get paid for it (and donations are always accepted...heh), I write because of the feelings that come as I craft a story. In order to be a successful writer, it is necessary to know and to care about these characters, to feel what they feel, and to be able to see life through their eyes. I only hope you have as much enjoyment reading these as I did writing them. ^_^

Well...on with the show.

Sunrise/Sunrise Chronicles

How to describe this series...I'm perhaps closer to these stories than any others I've done. It's an alternate-universe story, in which Ranma loses a critical battle...and finds just about everything once held of value gone.

The Iris tales

This is a set of stories showing how life treats people sometimes. Sometimes life isn't fair; sometimes it just out-and-out sucks. And sometimes (like here) it destroys us entirely before putting us back together.

Fanfic Works

Sunrise isn't the only fanfic work I've done; far from it. Here are some of my other works, stories ranging from Ranma actually exploring what it's like to be a girl to Keiichi facing a demonic version of himself.

Other links

If you enjoyed the stuff above, you should see where these will lead you.

Leftovers

This is a small collection of bits and pieces that never quite made it to RAAC. Feel free to browse at your leisure.

Future Plans

Future plans... hmmm... Going to school again sounds fun; A&M accepted me for their MBA program, so I guess I may end up there.  Beyond that, I'm really not sure.  I write when the muse bashes me over the head with a battle spatula - and even then, there's no clue as to which way it'll go.

Thanks

I always had the same list of people to thank on this page, ever since I first put this page up at A&M; perhaps now it's time to change it. Not that I thank them any less; it's just there's a lot more to thank than before. There's so much I want to say, but not much space to say it.

To my family, who've been with me all these years. I love you. That's about all I can say; for once, I'm at a loss for words beyond that.

To those who taught me the writing art, and gave me the skills to even attempt what I have done, thank you. To teach is one of the most difficult callings on earth; however, it can also be one of the most rewarding. I hope, in the end, I have done you proud.

To all those who came to this place and perused the works here, thank you. I always said, too often, that I didn't care about how the readers felt about my work; that isn't quite true. to all those over the years who've taken a few moments to write in to say "Cool story!" or "You know, this didn't quite work for me...", thank you. It's difficult writing into a vacuum, and your comments have been an excellent source of review.

To my peers, the writers and critics I've talked with over the years, thank you. The lessons and experiences learned from you all are the second-most-valuable thing I take with me - the friendship being the first.

To Chris and Erin, to Hitomi and Kat, and to Andrew: Thanks for putting up with me. I realize I am not the easiest person to work with; I don't know if you hold friendship or animosity for what has transpired, but I do hope it's the former. To "Da Guyz": God, I don't even know how to describe the past few years. It's been fun, hasn't it?

Well, I guess that's all. If you have any comments, please send me a line.
