Saionji, Miki, Drake, and Touga are there. Good day, my lords. Nanami arrives right behind you. Now we just need Nanami and we'll be ready to go." * Mikage nods Is there anything I need to know before we leave, my lord? Have you ever been to Remba, Mikage? "Have you ever been to Rebma, Mikage?" I'm afraid not, my lord. ping Ooops. Hehs OOC Right. There's several things you should know. First of all, if you leave the City of Rebma, you will drown unless you take precautions The city is full of water, but you can breathe it. I see. What sort of precautions, my lord? Can you conjure diving equipment? It's the same as if you were at the bottom of the ocean, basically. Because if you leave Rebma, you ARE at the bottom. Also, do you have trumps of all of us? Yes, I can, my lord. I believe I do, my lord. OOC Wait, Touga is here? o.O OOC Why yes. Do you want to ask about that? :) Good, then you're ready for that. As soon as Nanami arrives, I'll explain our plan. OOC Oh, yeah. * Mikage notices Touga. My apologies, my lord. I haven't properly introduced myself. I am Mikage. Touga bows. "I am Touga, son of King Gendo. I understand you are said to be Gil-Galad's son." "Actually, my lord, Washu says I am Princess Utena's child. * Mikage bows as well. Everyone starts at this. Saionji says, "So Utena has THREE children?" "Three? I only know of Ota, my lord. Who is the third, if I may be so bold as to ask? spoof Saionji says, "Apparently, Wasyuu identified Utena as Shizumaru's mother as well." OOC Spoof, John ^^; OOC I know, I know. Nanami arrives "I see. Ah, here is Princess Nanami now." Nanami says, "Is everyone ready to go?" * Mikage bows. Everyone nods. Nanami curtly bows back to you, then pulls out multiple pairs of spectacles and hands them to everyone "What are these for, my lady?" Nanami says, "Put these on. They'll enable you to detect people with the Pattern Imprint of Embra." Nanami puts on her pair, as do the others. Nanami then carefully looks at everyone, then sighs in relief. "Useful." * Mikage wears his as well. spoof You can see everyone is surrounded by a silver glow, including yourself through the glasses. *** Gabrielle has joined #TAMD Nanami says, "If you see a person with a green glow, they're Embran." If you see people with other glows, it likely means they have walked some Flawed or Broken Pattern "Unfortunately," Nanami continues, "I haven't studied enough of them to give you much guidance on that." Well, this is quite good as it is, my lady. I thank you. Nanami then casts a spell of some kind Nanami says, "This should shield your minds from magical invasion somewhat, although the spikard will likely shred my spell to ribbons given enough time." Miki says, "Everyone, come join hands and take mine. I'm going to trump us to my quarters in Rebma. Miki continues, "From there, we can move out to try to grab Embra-Derith before it is too late." * Mikage extends a hand to Nanami. "Shall we? Nanami takes your hand. You sense her mind is powerful, but not as strong as yours, you think. * Mikage extends another hand to Miki. Miki takes your hand, and other people clasp various hands, forming a chain Then Miki takes out a trump card, concentrates, and steps forward, dragging you all into a large, spacious, but sparsely furnished bedroom. * Mikage looks around. Miki quickly scans the room, which simply has a large bed, a wardrobe, and a small table with four chairs. Several tapestries are on the walls. Drake goes over to the door and puts his ear to it, listening, then turns to all of you. "Nanami, you need to pinpoint Embra=Derith for us now." * Mikage nods, unconsciously touching his ring. Nanami begins casting a pre-racked spell. Nanami says, "He's in the Throne Room." Drake curses and begins to pace. "If we attack him there, we'll have a diplomatic incident." Mikage says, "Damn." Mikage says, "If we could just lure him away..." Nanami frowns, then says, "We probably should have waited until night, when he would need to sleep, but there was too much danger he would go somewhere we couldn't find him. However, I can shapechange us into different forms so we can't be recognized, but you will all have to let down your defenses for it to work. Let them down until I finish the spell, that is." Mikage says, "Hmmm." Mikage says, "Can he tell we're here?" Miki says, "I do not believe Derith can detect Trump Energy, and that's what we used to get here. Nanami, did we set off any alarm spells?" Nanami shakes her head. "This room wasn't bugged. I don't think Derith knows any sorcery." Saionji says, "Could we just wait here until night?" Drake shakes his head. "Too risky; the maids might come in, Derith might hear we've left Amber and guess we're here and run off into shadow or something." Mikage looks thoughtful. "I know he could probably overpower my mind with that spikard, but I wonder how long it would take to do it." Nanami asks, "Have you learned to use the Pattern to shield your mind from invasion yet, Mikage?" Mikage shakes his head. "I'm afraid not, my lady." OOC Which reminds me, I'm almost done with the stuff I have to submit to you, John. Probably by tomorrow, or later in the day. OOc Cool. Drake says, "From witnessing what happened with the Mind Dragons Kozue unleashed, I believe you could probably hold out at least half a minute, Mikage. Perhaps longer." Mikage nods. "Perhaps then I can buy some time if need be. If worse comes to worse." Drake says, "I'm thinking the shapechanging would be a good idea. How would you disguise us, Nanami?" Nanami says, "To look like red-skinned, hairy Chaos Demons. That way, Chaos will be blamed for the assault." Mikage nods. "That sounds like a good idea, but how can we be sure our identities won't be discovered? Touga says, "Is this true Shapeshifting magic, Nanami?" Nanami nods. Nanami says, "Only a person gazing through the Pattern lens, which no one in Rebma but Embra-Derith can do, would reveal us. Well, unless there's any Broken Pattern people about." Nanami continues, "And even then, they wouldn't see our true forms. However, the REvert to True Form Power Word could change us back, and Psychic contact might show the truth." Mikage says, "Brilliant. Looks like we don't have much of a choice, however. Nanami says, "But it's either this, or we wait for night, or we just bull right in. Or we could wait a while and I could try to track Derith again to see if he left the Throne Room." Drake nods. Mikage says, "Can you tell who else is in the Throne Room?" "We'll wait here for two hours. If he doesn't leave the Throne Room in that time, we'll try the shapeshifting." Nanami shakes her head. "A scrying spell is too dangerous. I'm tracking the magical tracer that Drake put on the Fake Werewindle that Embra-Derith stole." Nanami continues, "Moire is a sorceress; she would notice someone spying." Mikage nods. "All right, then. Two hours. Saionji says, "I could try sneaking in there and spying for us." Touga says, "Oh yes, they'd mistake YOU for a Rebman, brother." Miki gets out his trump deck. "I will see what I can learn about the Throne Room." He puts a trump of the Throne Room down on the table, places his hand on it, and closes his eyes. Mikage says, "Now, now..." After about a minute, he opens his eyes. "Derith is trying to convince Moire to declare war on Amber for sending assassins to kill her children. Apparently, Umberto and Aila have been assassinated." Mikage gasps. "Damn. I don't think we have much of a choice now." Miki continues, his face wrinkled with worry. "He's flaunting the ring...he must know how to use it now. Nanami, can you break any high compellings on Moire once we beat Derith?" Mikage says, "I believe I can." Drake says, "Excellent." Touga strokes his chin. "Nanami...could you use that shapechanging spell on Embra-Derith to turn HIM into a 'Chaos Demon'?" Nanami grins evilly. "Ahh, so we could 'reveal him as a fake'?" Touga nods. "Exactly." Mikage smiles. "Excellent idea." Nanami says, "I can try, but the spell is hard to use on people who have much in the way of Pattern abilities. However, if you can all keep him distracted, then I can try to use it." Drake nods. "Miki, you should Trump us in there. Then you can try to harangue the Queen...she might listen to you if he hasn't finished peeling Moire's mind like a grape. Nanami, you stay behind us and do the spell. Mikage, be ready to free Moire's mind as soon as possible." "Saionji, Touga, and myself will be ready to attack Derith and try to overwhelm him if we have to. And to deal with everyone else if things go badly." Mikage nods. "Yes. I'll also stand ready to distract Derith if need be." Drake nods. "Good idea. If you attack his mind, hew ould likely be too distracted to resist Nanami's spell." Mikage says, "I'll need to get close, though, or otherwise I need some way to top into his mind without touching him." Drake frowns. "It won't be easy to get close to Derith, not when he's carrying Shadows of Werewindle AND Greyswandir." Drake continues. "You'd best simply be ready to free Moire then." Mikage says, "I'll adjust the plan to the situation, my lord. You'd best worry about getting the ring off of him before he compels other people." Drake nods. "Indeed. I will engage him on the right. Saionji, you take the left. Touga, you will have to cover us from other attackers." They all nod. Miki says,"Come and take my hand again." Mikage takes Miki's and Nanami's hands again. Touga says, "May the Unicorn bless our endeavour." Touga turns to Drake. "Buck up, Brother. Compared to the Day of Darkness, this is nothing. Did we not triumph then?" Mikage says, "Indeed." Drake says, "Tylor is unlikely to appear from nowhere with a fleet of ships this time, brother. We cannot trust to help unforeseen." Miki says, "May the Narwhale guide us to our destiny." And then the trump activates, and he steps forward, carrying you all with him. You land in the throne room. Some chance or mischance puts Mikage right next to Derith, only two feet from him, and Miki not much further away. Derith is saying, "Can we allow these...even now they come to slay us!" Miki steps forward, "Wait, Queen Moire! This is not the true Derith! He is an imposter!" All across the room, swords come out as Nanami begins mumbling magical syllables and your companions draw their weapons. Mikage draws his rapier as well, and prepares to make his way to Moire. Mikage slaps a hand on Derith. OOC Looks like my only chance to do this... OOC So you try to grab Derith with left hand and draw rapier with right? OOC Ach, noo. Grab with right, forestall drawing rapier. Catching him off guard, you grab his left wrist. His right hand swiftly draws a sword that looks much like Greyswandir. 'Werewindle' hangs from his belt just under the hand you just grabbed. Going for mental invasion? Absolutely. It's my only good card left. Mikage shouts, "Take him now!" Don't forget you can draw strength from your construct. OOC Oh, don't worry. I was doing that anyway. It's what it's good for, after all :) Yes, but you need to tell me when you use your construct :) OOC Oh, okay. I'm doing that now. :) You are able to break through his outer defenses before he rallies with the spikard's help and begins throwing compulsions at you to kill yourself. You fight them off for now, but his mind is very strong and the Spikard is amping his abilities and gives him massive speed. But you learn several things in those crucial seconds. Such as Such as? He is indeed the Derith of Embra. He rules Ebmar, the Embran Rebma because he married Moire's daughter. He's carrying the Embran Demi=Jewel of Water. And he knew you were coming. Annadil told him so. Mikage says, "Damn!" As you surge into his mind, he rams 'Werewindle' into your stomach. OOC Double damn! Mikage cries, "Ugh!" Then, suddenly, as Drake and Saionji charge over to come to your aid, you can't breathe the water any more. Mikage clutches at his throat... Nanami begins to choke, and her spell is ruined. Miki seems unaffected. Touga mutters a few syllables, then begins beating down Rebman nobles who come at him. I conjure up an air tank. Derith kicks you back away from him, the agony makes you lose your grip. You then start conjuring an air tank. Saionji clutches his throat as well, while Nanami manages to spit out several words and is now in scuba gear. Drake tries to cast a spell, but Derith engages him with both 'Werewindle' and 'Greyswandir', while attacking his mind with the Mind Spikard. Miki now runs over towards Moire, who shouts, "If Amber wants a war, SO BE IT!" Miki draws a Trump of Moire and slaps it onto her forehead, then concentrates. OOC Do I have an air tank yet? Saionji tries desperately to fight off attacking nobles while holding his breath, and Nanami begins casting another spell. say OOC No, conjuration is slow. Luckily, you can easily hold your breath long enough to conjure the tank before you can drown,a lthough that bleeding doesn't help. You hurt like hell. OOC Nanami has sorcery plus Conjuration, so she can rack Conjurations like spells, which is how she got her scuba gear so fast. OOC Oh, well, I try to finish conjuring. Moire and Miki seem locked in psychic battle. Meanwhile, Touga continues hacking up the nobility, and Drake continues to give ground, still holding his breath. OOC If it's going to take much longer to conjure the air tank, I give up on it for the moment and head toward Moire. OOC It takes a while to conjure it this close to a Pattern, so you might be better off holding your breath, yes. OOC You continue to bleed profusely; that needs attention. But there's no one to bar your pathway to Moire. OOC The bleeding can wait. I figure I can break Moire's mind with Miki's help faster. You reach Moire as the battle rages behind you. OOC She can't move, can she? OOC You don't know, but she doesn't seem to be moving much. Then I grab her hand. You hear Drake curse behind you as you grab her hand. Miki has her defenses pinned down, and is already beating her; you can easily break through into her mind and do whatever you please. I slip a black signet ring on her hand. So I can do it without having to touch her. OOC Doh. Right. Okay, you do that, then use the Construct as a Conduit. You are able to invade her mind easily, although this takes a little bit longer. I don't mind. I undo whatever compelling that's been done to her. Throbbing pains shoot through your entire torso as you work, but within a few seconds, you remove all the high compellings. Fortunately, Embra-Derith hasn't learned finesse with the ring yet, so it's easy to strip them off. I lean back and retrieve the bandages and salves I acquired from Washu, and dress my wounds. Good idea. You dress your wounds while Miki talks to Moire and everyone else is beating the snot out of each other, which saves your life. Wasyuu's salves go to work. They do seem to have one undesirable result, though; you feel yourself sinking into lassitude as they redirect your energy reserves to healing the large hole in your stomach and intestines the Werewindle shadow made. While leaning against a wall and resting, I allow myself a chuckle. Meanwhile, Drake seems to have vanished, Saionji has been overborne by angry nobles, and Nanami is holding Derith away from her with a barrier of floating swords. And Touga is locked in battle with a Rebman swordsmaster. I use the ring's conduit to convince Moire to call for a momentary ceasefire. If she doesn't take to gentle persuasion, let me know. Moire says, "Enough of this! We have been decieved by a shadow of Derith! Cease attacking the Amberites!" The nobles back off. But as they do so, a giant circle opens behind Derith, and frenzied sharks begin to pour out of the hole. Touga points at the hole. "ROCHESTER RAIN OF GLASS!!!!!" he shouts. Beyond the hole, you see razor sharp glass erupt, carving some of the oncoming sharks to ribbons. "..." Embra-Derith curses. Meanwhile, Moire gestures, and now all of you can breathe normally again. I contact Moire. "Derith has an embran demi-jewel of water. What can we do against it?" I take long, deep breaths. She replies by the mental link. "We need the real Demi-Jewel of Water, or the Jewel of Judgement. But the real Derith has the real Demi Jewel. Can you contact Tylor and ask him to bring the Jewel of Judgement?" Mikage says, "I could. Give me a moment to trump him, your Majesty." I pull out Tylor's trump and contact him. As the Nobles, Nanami, Saionji, and Miki begin fighting hungry sharks, the doors of the throne room open and a dozen Kozues charge in. They're all armed with nasty looking rapiers and dressed in armor. Touga stares mindlessly at the horde of Kozues for a few seconds. Tylor does not seem to be taking Trump Calls. He doesn't answer. Mikage says, "Damn!" "Is there anyone else who could try to contact him by voice who is in the castle you could call?" Moire asks. Nanami reaches into the air and pulls Drake out of nothing. Mikage nods, and pulls out Utena's trump. Drake begins hacking into the Kozues with Werewindle, chopping them up. Lots of blood is floating everywhere in the water. Utena answers a few seconds later. "Hi, Mikage," she says. "How is the mission going?" "Very messily, mother," Mikage replies. "We need the Jewel of Judgement to counteract the embran demi-jewel of water. We're getting overwhelmed here. Utena shakes her head. "Tylor is in the middle of using it to seal the Embrans out of Amber. If I interrupt him, it would be a total disaster. However...why don't you trump Mother? She's got the Demi-Jewel of Air. I'd think she ought to be able to do something. Or you could try calling Derith, since he has the Water Jewel." OOC I'm playing music from Akira, so this is really eerie. "I'm not sure Prince Derith is taking Trump Calls. I'll try trumping Queen Anthy. Mikage pulls out the Anthy trump. OOC What's happening around me? It's hard to see. The battle keeps at least ten feet away, in a haze of blood and magic and shouts and bodies and sharks. Drake is busily fighting all twelve Kozues at once. I put on the spectacles. That helps. You can see the Kozues all have Amber Pattern... And you can spot Derith, who is apparently in the process of reprogramming Saionji. Nanami and Miki are both fighting hungry sharks, as are the nobles. Do I contact Anthy? Anthy answers your call. She is in the garden, hard at work pruning. "Hello, Mikage-san," she says. "Your Highness, my apologies, but we need your help urgently. The shadow derith is overwhelming us with an embran demi-jewel of water, and I'm afraid we may lack the power or the numbers to overcome the odds." Anthy drops her pruning shears and holds out her hand to you. "Pull me through." Mikage pulls Anthy through the trump. Mikage winces slightly from the exertion. Anthy takes a few seconds to assess the situation, during which Saionji leaps at Drake, who shoves a Kozue into Saionji's assault path. She dies on Saionji's blade, which gets stuck in her. However, two other Kozues give Drake a nasty wound. "What are they, your Highness?" Mikage asks. Anthy frowns. "Blood Golems. He stole Kozue's hand and got a Conjuror to help him make Kozue duplicates which possess the blood of Amber, and thus could be used to...Call Utena now. Tell her to go the Pattern Chamber immediately. I will deal with this." Anthy holds up her right hand, on which she wears a huge sapphire carved to resemble an Alicorn, and kisses it. Mikage nods and contacts Utena immediately. "Mother! Her Highness Queen Anthy wishes for you to fo the pattern chamber immediately! It's urgent! Mikage nods and contacts Utena immediately. "Mother! Her Highness Queen Anthy wishes for you to go to the pattern chamber immediately! It's urgent! Utena blinks in surprise, then nods. "I'm on my way." The water churns around Anthy, then howling winds erupt from a circle above her head and shove all the water out of the room and back through Embra-Derith's portal, leaving the sharks to lie on the ground and begin to drown in the air. And on her tiara, a sapphire gleams brightly, showing the pattern tracery within itself. OOC No, wait, the ring and the gem in the tiara are diamonds...I screwed up. but the ring is an Alicorn. OOC That's okay. Retcon. "What awesome power..." Mikage breathes. Derith frowns intensely, gestures, and most of the Rebman nobility goes berserk, attacking Nanami, Drake, And Touga again. Meanwhile Saionji tries to beat Drake down with the Kozue he impaled. Moire says, "Mikage-san, can you do something about Saionji?" "I'll try." Mikage struggles upright. Is Saionji facing me? Fortunately, Saionji has his back to you as he fights Drake. As you advance, Anthy begins to stride towards Embra- Derith. "Give me the ring," she commands. "This shouldn't take too long," Mikage says, as he runs over and wraps his fingers around the back of saionji's neck, attempting to burst through his mental defenses with the combined power of his mind and Nemuro Hall. Since Derith again only had time for a sloppy job, you burst the bonds quickly, freeing Saionji from the compulsion. Embra-Derith now runs for his portal, as the jig is clearly up. Mikage shouts, "STOP HIM!" Drake spins and hurls Werewindle at Embra-Derith. Mikage runs toward Embra-Derith, drawing his own rapier. Touga just grins. Derith parries Werewindle with 'Grayswandir', knocking it aside so it only slices open his left arm, then skitters across the floor. Mikae aims for the hand with the spikard, attempting to chop it off. Drake draws a main-gauche and charges Embra-Derith with Saionji. Derith now jumps back through his portal into hungry shark land. Do you follow? The Gate hasn't closed yet. No. I'm not suicidal, and I'm not half as good with the sword as Drake or Saionji. Besides, I have a shark phobia. Hehe. They charge forward, and the portal starts to shut. Touga grins. "A pity you decided to embrace the darkness instead of the light, Derith of Embra. ROCHESTER RAIN OF GLASS!!!!" And as the portal closes, razor sharp glass erupts in a storm around Derith of Embra Mikage winces. Anthy says, "He is not yet dead. Not with two spell breaking swords to assist his survival." Anthy continues. "Drake, take my hand." Drake does so. Mikage says, "We need to get the spikard back from him. If he's weakened, we should retrieve it now." Anthy says, "I will give you strength, and you must open the portal to him, Drake, before the trail of his portal fades. But first, we will need diving gear for everyone, or we will swiftly drown, and shark repellant." Mikage nods, and begins work on the diving gear. OOC Unless he's too slow. say OOC Nanami is out of racked diving gear, so she won't be faster than you. ) It takes a few minutes, but Mikage and Nanami quickly summon up Diving Gear for everyone. You're starting to feel pretty exhausted, though. OOC And shark repellant. I can't let up now. We have to finish him off. Moire sends her servants to bring you shark repellant, as the Rebmans make it in builk. "Thank you, your Majesty. "Thank you, your Majesty," Mikage says. Mikage starts looking a little worse for wear. Moire says, "I owe you all my gratitude for stopping this imposter before he could bring about an utter catastrophe, a war of our nations." Anthy says, "Can you spare anyone to send with us?" Moire orders in a squad of guards to go with you. "That would have been a catastrophe, indeed, your Majesty," Mikage says. Then Anthy groups you all together, and takes Drake's hand. Her tiara and ring glow as Drake closes his eyes, concentrates, then cuts the 'air' open with Werewindle. And then you all charge through. You stand in the midst of a beautiful forest of coral. It reminds you of an underwater arden, really. You are in front of a huge house carved of jade, a great mansion. Mikage looks around in wonder. The whole area is lit by a blue-green glow from above. Miki says, "This must be either be Nedra or perhaps the Embran Nedra. The real Derith is warden of this forest which guards Rebma from assault." And then the giant squid, the rangers on sea horses, and the hungry sharks come pouring down out of the trees at you. Nanami says, "Derith is in the house! Make for the house!" The guards enage the rangers and some of the squid as all of you rush towards the house, hurling spells and slashing with your weapons to clear a path. "No quarter!" Mikage cries. The fight is long and bloody, but Drake the Human Chainsaw breaks through ahead of the rest of you with Werewindle and charges into the house. You yourself are being attacked by a shark. How do you fight? I run it through with the rapier, wait for contact, then compel it to attack our opponents. You take a nasty bite on the arm, but then you control its wimpy little mind. It goes off to attack another shark. Three more bites later, you free up Miki to charge to Drake's aid. I'll deal with my wounds later. We have to strike hard and fast. Right. Do you go for more sharks or do you go for the house yourself? Can I compel the sharks with simple eye contact? Yes, you can It takes a little longer to make eye contact, but you don't get bit. I go after a good number, say ten to fifteen, and compel them all to swim ahead of me, attacking anything in my path. You soon accomplish that. Going to head for the house or use them to mop up the attacking force out here? Mop up the stragglers before heading to the house. I want to make sure we crush this Embran, but good. Pretty soon, the defending forces are routed, although you can hear a lot more coming. I'm developing a considerable distaste for all things Embran, personally. Break on through to the house. Meanwhile, Drake and Miki walk out of the house. Drake holds up his hand; he's wearing the ring. He's also carrying Embra-Derith's right arm. "I managed to cut off his arm and reclaim the ring, but he escaped me using his Demi-Jewel. I think he's fled into Embra proper, and I for one don't want to try to fight all the Embrans at once." Mikage nods. "We got what we came for, my lord, and I for one need rest and medical attention. I've routed the defenders, but I fear reinforcements are on their way." Anthy nods and pulls out a trump of Castle Amber. "Let us retreat," she says. You all take her hand and trump the hell out. OOC: Oh sure, just abndon the Rebmans..... OOC They'll have to walk back to Rebma from Amber :) OOC Miki wouldn't let them be left behind. When you reach the castle, your exhaustion catches up with you, and you collapse, seeing the world suddenly go black, although someone catches you. Mikage falls. "..." And then you sleep for a loooong time. No prob. I think I need it. Damn, these Elders need training in coordination. Yep. If you'd had only Chaos endurance, you'd have been asleep for a month or more, and quite possibly already dead. If you'd grabbed his wrist and drawn your rapier, he wouldn't have been able to hurt you so badly, and you might have held him off long enough to completely mind fry him. But he had superior warfare and you were unarmed. You don't say. I thought that if I'd diverted my attention, I wouldn't have been able to concentrate properly on him. His attention was diverted too. You had a construct backing you up, which could have taken up some of your slack. That's why I thought that concentrating in one go would have been more prudent, because I was only holding him off for the others to beat him. Unfortunately... ...The others weren't quite so clear-minded about things. Remind me not to overestimate their ability to judge the situation again. ^^; Heh. Well, they are very powerful, but you're the PC, which means you get to be the most sensible person, usually :) But part of it was simply that they couldn't all focus on Drake unless they wanted to die at the hands of everything else. Yeah, I suppose. Oh, well. At least I've got one NPC to put on the signet. :) Hehs :) And you prevented an Amber/Rebma war. The practical application is better than the threat of compulsion, though -- I've got a hotline to the Queen of Rebma now. ^^; This will be very important to keeping Amber from going down in a sea of foes in the days to come. And you have her gratitude for saving her mind. And Queen Moire's favor is worth quite a bit. Like if you ever need somewhere to hide. Yeah, I guess. I don't really mind that I got run through, since I got Queen Moire's favor in the process. Boy, this'll be a doozy of an entry for the diary.
