Hiko the Firechilde nods after the Trump convo with Anthy and tries to contact Gabrielle. You can contact Gaby, no problem. Hiko the Firechilde asks, "Hey, Gabrielle... you remember Shizumaru, right?" Gabrielle blinks. (and hurriedly goes IC). "The quiet one, had that parasol? What of him?" Hiko the Firechilde asks, "Well, I need to get in touch with his girlfriend Rimururu, but I don't know how. I seem to recall that you've been there before, or am I wrong?" Gabrielle says, "Was she the one who was serving the Iceman?" She looks faintly contemptuous. Hiko the Firechilde asks, "Yes... she is a disciple of an Ice kami... Can you take me to her?" Gabrielle says, "I don't see why not." There's a *pop*, and Gabrielle appears next to Hiko. She whips out her Trump guitar and starts playing 'Selling Ice to Soderfjord.' Juri of Avalon says, "OOC: Which means you're going to get Rimmer and Gherman, you fool. :)" A ring of fire opens, beyond which you can see the beach and Rimururu's town. Frostspire has visibly shrunk a bit. Hiko the Firechilde steps through. You find yourself standing on a now balmy beach. It's definitely warmer than last time. The town seems to largely be going about its business. Hiko the Firechilde blinks, recalling it feeling much cooler... She flags down a passerby. "Excuse me, I'm looking for Rimururu, a priestess from this town. Do you know where she is?" The man blinks at Hiko, then says, "I'd assume she's up at the temple, praying and trying to keep Frostspire from melting." The man wipes his brow. Hiko the Firechilde asks, "I see, how do I get there?" The man points off to the temple up the rise. "It's right up there, with the big ice spire sticking out of it. The front doors are on the east side." Hiko the Firechilde thanks and starts walking. You soon reach the front doors, where a young lady in temple robes greets you. "Welcome, Traveller," she says. "Can I help you?" She looks to be a fairly young acolyte, maybe 13 years old. Hiko the Firechilde says, "I'm Hiko of Amber, and I'm a friend of Rimururu's. I may have found a solution for your current heating problems." She nods. "Follow me." She takes you to the main temple chamber, where a half dozen priestesses are all chanting frantically in a ring around Frostspire. The acolyte jumps around a lot, trying to get Rimururu's attention without actually speaking. Hiko the Firechilde watches with a bit of amusement. The chanting continues for a while, but finally Rimururu notices you and heads your way. "Hello, Hiko," she says. "How are you?" Hiko the Firechilde says, "I'm good... Shizumaru said you were having problems... I think I can help." Her eyes widen slightly. "We would be very grateful!" Hiko the Firechilde holds out the Morganstern manifestation. "Arden is having the same problem you are, and what I did was to weave a heat drain spell into a ring similar to this one that's linked to a being of fire. It's cooled down the place considerably to where it is no longer in danger of burning." She takes it from you and examines it. "If you can do that, we and Frostspire would be eternally grateful." She looks back at the pillar and winces. "I can feel his pain." Hiko the Firechilde says, "This is also linked to a special jewel of power, and if you like, I can leave it with you. I can show you how to refresh the spell every morning." Hiko the Firechilde starts to build the spell. She nods. "I would be forever in your debt, Hiko-san." Hiko the Firechilde waves her hands negligently. "It's not a problem, Rimururu-san." She smiles softly. "And I would like to apologize for being so harsh with you earlier." She shakes her head. "I don't think you were at your best the last time you were here. Don't worry about it." Hiko the Firechilde asks, "It's going to take a while... is there a place I can do this and concentrate?" Rimururu nods. "Would you like maybe a small study with a chair and a table? Or will you want to be able to lie down? Or I could take you to the garden." Hiko the Firechilde says, "I could do this anywhere, really... I can even talk at the same time." Hiko the Firechilde asks, "I'd love to see the gardens, and maybe we could talk some more?" Rimururu nods. "Okay, let's go to the gardens, then." Hiko the Firechilde follows Rimururu. The gardens aren't too fancy, a few kinds of flowers that can handle a cold climate, and some flowering bushes. About half of it is a Japanese style rock garden. She takes you to a bench and sits down with you. "Did you know you're pregnant?" she asks. Hiko the Firechilde says, "Yes... I'm a couple weeks along, really." Hiko the Firechilde says, "I shouldn't be doing all this heavy activity, though." Her voice grows somber. "I've had problems with miscarriages." Rimururu nods. "Well, hopefully, this will all be over before it gets far enough along for you to really have to worry about that, but..." She sighs. "I hope things go better for you this time. How many have you had?" Hiko the Firechilde thinks.... "Five." Hiko the Firechilde says, "In about thirty years, I think." Hiko the Firechilde says, "I heal quickly, so I've not had much trouble with scarring, but it's still dangerous to think about." Rimururu looks surprised, obviously she wasn't aware how old you are. Hiko the Firechilde smiles. "I look pretty good for my age." She nods quietly. "We have some traditional things for it, but...well, they don't actually work all that well. Although it couldn't hurt. I hope." Hiko the Firechilde says, "I'd appreciate it." She tweaks the spell some more, and asks, "So, how did you meet my cousin?" Rimururu says, "I was travelling out in shadow, and got ambushed by some demons and Michiru-san and Shizumaru-kun saved me." She shudders. "So I helped them recover his stolen Seed and got to know him during that trip." Hiko the Firechilde asks, "It must have been awful. How did he say the Seed got stolen?" She stretches as she talks, "It got stolen by this really weird man, Venir 2. He was working for these three Kamis." Rimururu frowns deeply. "One of them was Urd."
