Dread Pirate Roberts says, "OOC Okay, I will run us until Mike eats." Esme Pariseau OOCly goes "Arrrr." Dread Pirate Roberts asks, "OOC Going to go do anything else before you rendevous with your friends, Serena?" Serena d'Penzance says, "OOC: Nope." =================================== =================================== You wind your way through the streets to your assigned meeting place. Esme and Roberts are already there, killing time. Esme Pariseau is quietly sipping a fine wine, as suits her current role as Pyrate Ice Queen, watching the crowd casually in an imperious fashion. Serena d'Penzance takes a seat at the scarred wooden table in the back with them. "I'm glad to see the Spitted Gull is still around. It was always my favourite place on the waterfront. Not that I'm down here much." She pauses. "The ocean was more Dar's place than mine." Dread Pirate Roberts says, "The sea is a beautiful, but harsh mistress." Esme Pariseau quirks an eyebrow at that, and smiles a thin smile. She keeps her voice soft and quiet, so that just Serena and Roberts can hear her. "... I've been more a forest girl, myself... but I like my beach house as well, so..." She gives a slight shrug. "... what did you find out?" Serena d'Penzance asks, "OOC: Shouldn't Merc be in on this?" Dread Pirate Roberts says, "OOC I am assuming he's gone off to make arrangements to fix his ship." Dread Pirate Roberts says, "OOC If you go looking for him, I'll tell him to get in here." Serena d'Penzance says, "OOC: Okeydokey." Serena d'Penzance says, "We exchanged family gossip for a while, of little consequence. Things seem to have been or less stable in my... absence." Dread Pirate Roberts asks, "Well, that's good. No surprise deaths or anything?" Esme Pariseau mms, and nods fractionally, still keeping an eye out for things. Esme Pariseau murmurs, quietly, "even if gossip, family is still importaint." She smiles a bit. Serena d'Penzance says, "Not that he knew of. Then again, my brother is often absent from Avalon, and has only recently returned; he decided to get some fishing in before meeting with the rest of the family. He did not know of the crisis to which Tess referred to." Esme Pariseau nods. Dread Pirate Roberts says, "The city seems remarkably calm for a crisis." Esme Pariseau says, "Unless there was a coverup of some sort. Though in that case there'd still be gossip, information hardly keeps -that- well muzzled." Serena d'Penzance says, "Things may move in the shadows. Our next stop should be a bar, the Hound, run by a member of my family. He has extensive contacts in the city, and his information sources are good." Dread Pirate Roberts nods. "Lead on, m'lady." Esme Pariseau nods. "You know the territory better than I..." She quirks that slight smile. Serena d'Penzance says, "Trucido had ample experience with my universe's Finndo, the Ashen Prince. He said it was possible that Finndo could have had a daughter. Or a son." Serena d'Penzance says, "The blond man... more disturbing." Serena d'Penzance says, "Trucido said he sounded like the man who gave the Ashen Prince his spikard, Harbinger." Esme Pariseau nods again. "Which would explain the reason why the demon armor would want vengeance, if his or her father was killed... and hmm?" Esme Pariseau purses her lips. "A spikard. Joy." Dread Pirate Roberts asks, "A man who just goes around giving away spikards???" Serena d'Penzance says, "He said that Finndo respected him. This disturbs me, since anyone respected by a homicidal madman like the Ashen Prince..." Esme Pariseau nods. "It disturbs me too." Esme Pariseau asks, "What were Harbringer's powers?" Serena d'Penzance says, "I know nothing of it." Esme Pariseau ahs, and nods slightly. Esme Pariseau . o O (-another- awesome artifact of power running around. what, are they having fire sales on the things lately?) Serena d'Penzance says, "That was all we talked of concerning the squid. My brother has offered his help to us. He is perhaps the greatest warrior in my family, and will undoubtedly be of aid. Hopefully, I will be able to get help from some others." Esme Pariseau says, "That's good. Every bit helps." Serena d'Penzance looks about the tavern. "Where did our... valiant captain go?" Esme Pariseau says, "He went to start arrangements for the repair of his sub." Serena d'Penzance nods. "Just as well. I told Trucido we would be using the sub as a base of operations if he needed to find us." Dread Pirate Roberts nods. Esme Pariseau nods as well, and finishes her wine. "So, shall we head to the Hound, now?" Serena d'Penzance nods. "To consult with my brother, Finn. He is knowledgeable about matters mystical and otherwise, including the Logrus, and may have some ideas about how to more effectively combat the squid." Dread Pirate Roberts nods. "Let us go, then." He pays for his drinks and rises. Serena d'Penzance leads Roberts and Esme towards the Hound. Esme Pariseau pays as well, and heads after with Serena. She causually regards the city, keeping up the image of Jaded Pirate, but you get the feeling if she -could-, she'd rubberneck like a Shadow Tourist. "Quite a fascinating city," she murmurs. Serena d'Penzance says, "The Rose of All the Worlds" Dread Pirate Roberts walks along, smiling. You soon reach the Hound, which looks much as you remember it from your past visits. Well, as Serena remembers it, anyway. Esme Pariseau OOCly says, "Can the layout of the Castle Avalon be seen from where they're wandering? (ie, the big sprawling thing over the mountain that is over the Harbor, etc etc...)" Serena d'Penzance looks for Finn as they enter. There's a short woman with long blonde hair behind the bar, but no sign of Finn. Serena d'Penzance says, "OOC: John, you gotta watch those mispages if you don't want to give the game away. :)" Dread Pirate Roberts says, "OOC I know. " Serena d'Penzance strides up to the bar and takes a seat. Esme Pariseau takes a seat next to Serena, quiet. Dread Pirate Roberts sits on the other side of Serena. The woman comes down to you, looking slightly amused. "And what'll it be for the three of you today?" Esme Pariseau nods towards the woman. "Scotch. On the rocks." She smiles sligtly. Dread Pirate Roberts says, "A shot of brandy." Serena d'Penzance says, "Best beer you got." She nods, then goes and fills your order. You can notice that business seems to be slow today; there's hardly anyone in here. Serena d'Penzance says, "OOC: Wow. That must mean something is incredibly wrong, since the Hound is always packed. o.o" Esme Pariseau notes this. Hey, less business, less witnesses. On the other end, less business, less cover for things being done. Serena d'Penzance subtly looks over the customers for anyone familiar or suspicious, while waiting for her drinks. There's no one here you've seen before. The woman starts cleaning glasses and says to the three of you, "Just got into town?" Serena d'Penzance says, "Aye. In fact, we're looking for an old shipmate of ours; we hear tell he runs this place now. Name o' Finn." The woman blinks. "You've been in the business quite a while if he ever was one of your shipmates. From what I understand, he's been running this place for maybe forty years or more. He's taking a few days off right now. Family business or some such thing." Serena d'Penzance laughs heartily. "I'm older than I look, lass. Have you any idea where we could get in contact with him?" Dread Pirate Roberts says, "Well, I don't know where he is, but if you leave your name with me, I can tell him the next time he comes by. Which might be in five minutes, or might not be for a few days." Dread Pirate Roberts says, "OOC AAAAAAAAAAA" Esme Pariseau OOCly patpats John. The woman says, " Well, I don't know where he is, but if you leave your name with me, I can tell him the next time he comes by. Which might be in five minutes, or might not be for a few days." Serena d'Penzance winks at her. "I shan't need to leave my name. Just tell him that his old lady friend from the undersea adventure forty years back is in town again and wants to look him up. If that doesn't jog his memory, give the man a tongue-lashing for forgetting the time we were nearly boiled like lobsters, and all for one lousy gem." The woman laughs. "That must have been a rather impressive gem." Serena d'Penzance takes out the business card Demetrius gave her and slides it across the bar to the woman. "Our vessel is parked at the harbour, under Captain Demetrius. Tell him the sooner I see him, the happier I'll be. And I'm a grateful girl when I'm made happy." The woman nods. "I'll make sure he knows." She looks at the card and blinks, then takes it and puts it in the tip jar so it doesn't get lost. Serena d'Penzance says, "Thanks, lass." Serena d'Penzance returns to sipping her beer. Esme Pariseau continues sipping her scotch onna rocks, seemingly focussed on it. Esme Pariseau OOCly says, "Is there a mirror behind the bar, with which to watch the rest of the room?" Dread Pirate Roberts says, "OOC Yes, there is." Dread Pirate Roberts gets another shot of brandy. Esme Pariseau glanes at the mirror every so often, sizing up the place with a casual blue eye. You hear the sound of many people approaching. The barmaid looks up and nods and ducks into the backroom. "Now where did I put that..." Esme Pariseau OOCly also lags muchly. Serena d'Penzance looks back, calmly sipping her beer. A large flock of people come in, and the barmaid wheels out a large cake. Looks like a birthday party is about to take place. Esme Pariseau watches the approaching people through the mirror, still sipping her scotch. Esme Pariseau quirks another elegant eyebrow. Serena d'Penzance asks, "OOC: Anyone I recognize?" Esme Pariseau OOCly says, "Well, now we know why the place was pretty empty...." Dread Pirate Roberts says, "OOC Not people you know well, but some of them were regular patrons here back the last time you were around. And you think a few of them are Avalonian soldiers." Serena d'Penzance asks, "OOC: Any idea who the birthday boy is?" Serena d'Penzance says, "OOC: Or girl, as it may be." Esme Pariseau OOCly says, "glances at the surface of the cake as it's wheeled past." Racking your brain, you remember the man is named Harold. He's an Avalonian soldier. The cake says 'Happy Birthday, Harold!' You page, "... does this Harold look like Corrine's Harold?" to Akemi. Akemi pages, "Nope, he's just a dark haired guy." to you. You page, "Okiliedoke." to Akemi. Serena d'Penzance goes back to drinking her beer, since it seems like just a routine event. The birthday party goes on for quite a while. Finn fails to appear. The drinks, as usual, are quite good. Esme Pariseau leaves the nice people to their revels, continuing to consume her scotch until it's drained. Serena d'Penzance has a few beers so as not to look suspicious, pays for everyone's drinks, and leads them out. Esme Pariseau follows Serena after the bill is paid. Dread Pirate Roberts trails after you. Serena d'Penzance reaches out through her link to Julian. *Julian?* *Hi, you've reached the all powerful Julian, master of all he surveys, grand imperial lord of fire, and general emperor of everything. I can't answer your call right now, but at the sound of the beep, please leave a message.* *BEEP!* *I'm back in town, Julian. Tell Horatio to find me, if I don't find him first.* Juri closes the link. Serena d'Penzance heads back towards the sub. "We'll get back aboard the sub and try Trumping my relatives." Dread Pirate Roberts nods. "Righto." Esme Pariseau nods slightly at that. "Hopefully they won't be -too- surprised or concerned at your reappearance... And I need to put some thoughts on paper, that I had while everything was occuring over the past forty-eight hours." Serena d'Penzance sighs. "Hopefully, it will take the Finndos time to get their squid back into working shape." Esme Pariseau says, "And in the interim, we shall make our own preparations." Dread Pirate Roberts pats Serena's shoulder. "Wounds that large won't heal swiftly." Serena d'Penzance hrms. "What would be ideal is some kind of Pattern-based weaponry that won't kill it so spectacularly." Serena d'Penzance says, "OOC: Once at the sub, fan out Horatio's Trump and try to contact him." Esme Pariseau says, "Or some way to seize control without risking our brains in the process... I'm beginning to get the feeling that strict brute force, on either the part of trying to take out the Finndos or the Squid, isn't the sole way to go." She purses her lips, thinly. "Barrier." Juri throws the Trump down on the table in annoyance. "My family seems to be playing How Not To Be Seen with me." Trying Finn's Trump. You page, "Does Corrine know that Trumps can be blocked the other way? (ie, prevent a person from trying to trump others, no matter what they try?)" to Akemi. Akemi pages, "Yes" to you. Esme Pariseau considers, pursing her lips. "They may not be, Juri." Esme Pariseau says, "Somebody could be blocking you from trying to send out to anyone." Esme Pariseau OOCly says, "swap 'Juri' for the nickname of the moment." Serena d'Penzance says, "And Finn is refusing my Trump call." Serena d'Penzance puts her Trumps away. "Finn and Horatio are the only ones I really trust enough to help me in this, beyond Trucido." Serena d'Penzance says, "They both seem to be occupied. Hopefully, they'll get in touch with me as soon as they can." Esme Pariseau nods. "Right. And the less we spread word of you being around, I presume the better." She taps her lips, writing down options for trying to deal with Fido and the Finndos in her small sketchpad. "For now..." Serena sighs. "Let's just stay relax for an hour or so. I want to get a look at some of these history books the captain mentioned, to find out what's been going on." She asks a convenient crew member where the captain is. "He should be back in a few minutes, ma'am." Serena d'Penzance will wait, then. Rude to ravage the captain's library without his permission. Esme Pariseau nods. "Sounds like a plan." She quirks a slightly smile, and finds a bunk to recline on, still writing/sketching in her sketchbook. Okay, so it's a naval bunk, but hey. Mercutio teleports into the room. Mercutio has arrived. Serena d'Penzance says, "Mr. Demetrius. You mentioned you had a good library aboard this vessel? I would like to catch up on the past forty years while waiting--so I hope--for some of my family to get in contact with me." Demetrius nods. "I do indeed, m'lady. Right this way." Serena d'Penzance follows Demetrius. Demetrius leads 'Serena' through a well-appointed apartment to a small, wood-paneled room. Esme Pariseau stays where she is for the nonce, in the cabin that presumably she and "Serena" have been assigned. Demetrius says, "In here, m'lady." He guestures at the boks in lacquered shelves. "The Avalonian histories are current as of a decade ago." Demetrius says, "It's the 'official,' sanitized version, though." Serena d'Penzance smiles. "I know how to read between the lines. Any in particular you recommend?" Demetrius nods, and reccomends several of the better works, including 'The Avalonian Standing Army: A Comparative Analysis,' by himself. Demetrius says, "I've also got the Histories of the Houses of Chaos." He points to a black shelf with thirten volumes on it. Serena d'Penzance sits down with a stack of books and begins to speed-read, trying to glean the common perception of the crisis, and what's been going on in the past forty years. Serena d'Penzance says, "OOC: By 'crisis' I mean the events with Finndo, Chaos, Brand, etc." You page, "Meanwhile, Corrine starts practicing some trump sketches, not of the SquidBridge, but of just some places that she's seen in the ship and the docks, etc... to see if she can still create/activate trumps here. She's not going to go THROUGH them, she just wants to get a feel for what she can do... 'cause she's had some ideas." to Akemi. Akemi pages, "Yes, you can get trumps to work here." to you. Demetrius eyes her reading materiel as he works at a ledger at a small desk in one corner of the room. Serena d'Penzance appears to ignore Demetrius completely Demetrius studiously bends to his work, toting up repair costs, etc. You page, "Coool. She'll be trying some more advanced stuff with Juri later... but within the next day or so, she'll be trying to get some large sheets of kraft/packing paper, etc, to make trump sketches of the SquidBridges and the place where they last were before they had to bail, etc.... to allow for making trump gates if need be, or to lay on the floor and dump explosives through. She doesn't have FULL supplies, but she might want to grab some trump-making equipment in the next few to make some disguised-trumps of herself, too." to Akemi. In a page-pose to you, Akemi nods. Serena d'Penzance says, "OOC: Is what's in the histories basically the info that's in the new RATGOH details about the Royals? Juri the Kinslayer, et al." Yup. Esme Pariseau OOCly says, "whooboy. Well, so much for good PR...." Demetrius says, "OOC: The history books are official sources from Avalon and the Golden Circle. If they were willing to let 'Juri the Kinslayer' go into print, then yes." Demetrius says, "OOC: Though there are one or two independent studies." Serena d'Penzance quietly closes the books after some time. "Well," she says softly. "So, that's how I'm remembered." Demetrius 's quill pen scratches across the ledger. "I'd be willing to bet, myself, that most of those so-called 'facts' are apocrypha, m'lady." Demetrius says, "I was almost in the Crisis, you know. At least three Houses of Chaos offered me contract to ride with the Host." Serena d'Penzance says, "That's a bet you would lose, Mr. Demetrius. The facts are, in fact, quite accurate. But facts matter little; how they are perceived is the important thing." Serena d'Penzance glances to him, actually looking vaguely interested. "Are you well-acquainted with House Hendrake?" Demetrius blinks, and looks upfrom his ledger. "Oh my, yes." Demetrius says, "I've never actually worked for them, you understand; they don't need privateers." Serena d'Penzance nods. Demetrius says, "But I crossed swords with their House Gaurd several times during conflicts with kingdoms in the Black Zone." Demetrius laughs. "And fought BESIDE them several times in those same coflicts." Demetrius says, "Lord Mikel is a fine commander; better than I, and no mistake." Demetrius says, "Although I suppose I should call him Regent, these days...." Serena d'Penzance smiles faintly, rather sadly. "Lord Mikel and I were well-acquainted in our youth. But events drove us apart, as you can no doubt guess." You page, "It should be possible for Corrine to make a trump sketch or two to places in Shadow she hasn't been to, right? (ie, under the same risks of "Trumps made from descriptions, without the Trump Artist ever having observed the subject, have a HIGH probability of linking to a Shadow, instead of the actual subject.") She might test that later, not going -to- said places, but wanting to verify it can be done." to Akemi. Akemi pages, "You can certainly try." to you. Demetrius nods slowly. "The Crisis was.... an odd time, m'lady. " Serena d'Penzance asks, "Indeed. Have you met Mikel personally?" Demetrius shakes his head. "I'm afraid not, m'lady. Seen him once or twice, but I spent a great deal of time planning how NOT to meet him." Serena d'Penzance asks, "Do you know of his lineage? Has he any children? A wife?" Demetrius says, "He's unmarried, m'lady; which shocks me. I'm amazed the Lady Kozuen hasn't arranged a political match for him by now." Demetrius frowns a bit. "The Lady Kozuen.... you know...." Serena d'Penzance frowns and her face darkens a little. "She is still doing what she can to interfere in his life, is she?" Demetrius says, "I seem to recall a nephew....." He pulls a copy of Twurp's Peerage off the wall and thumbs through it. "She's the sister of the Regent of Chaos, m'lady. Manipulation is how things are done in the Courts." Demetrius says, "Hecate, Helubor, Helgram, Hendrake..... here we go... ah, yes." "And here. A nephew, you say?" She shudders faintly. "Kozuen reproduced?" Demetrius says, "Damask, son of Kozuen, Lady of House Hendrake. Father unknown." He slides the book across the table to Serena. Demetrius says, "Ambassador to the Royal House of Avalon." Serena d'Penzance reads the entry. "Father unknown. Can't say I'm surprised." She looks up, and her face quirks strangely. "Ambassador?" Serena d'Penzance says, "OOC: The irony of this is giving me metal poisoning." Esme Pariseau OOCly says, "Oyiiiie." Demetrius says, "Oh yes; Chaos and Avalon have normalized relations." Demetrius says, "It's done WONDERS for trade. I barely need to Pirate anymore." Serena d'Penzance says, "I'm glad to hear that. I was hoping that was what Mikel would do as Regent." Serena d'Penzance hesitates, then asks, "What of the missing King?" "King? Oh, Tomas of Pyre." Demetrius makes a dismissive guesture. "I spent his entire reign in the Abyss trying to simultaneously survive and not get noticed, m'lady." Serena d'Penzance says drolly, "His reign was brief." Demetrius says, "If he's shown up, I haven't heard about it. Oh, there are rumors; but there are ALWAYS rumors." Serena d'Penzance says, "Rumors can have truth in them. Tell me." Demetrius says, "He's mad. He's mustering an army to take Avalon. He's carrying his fathers head in a box that speaks prophecy." Demetrius says, "He's actually Ludwig, Prince of Avalon. He's actually Tess, Princess of Avalon. He was a Nolavan catspaw sent to incite war." Demetrius says, "The list goes on." Serena d'Penzance says, "I can quite definitively say that the one about his father's head isn't true. Other than that..." Serena d'Penzance she shrugs, rises, and begins replacing volumes on the shelves where she took them from. Demetrius helps her. "Every once in awhile I think about investigating the Crisis further. " Demetrius says, "Then I realize what a bloody stupid idea it is." Serena d'Penzance says, "It was a complicated time." Serena d'Penzance says, "Terrible things were done, and brave things. I hope that we never see its like again." Demetrius wisely doesn't comment, not knowing which of the many stories about Juri are true. Demetrius says, "The only good thing I got out of it,"he says carefully, "was a possible future edge on transuniversal trade." "And the odds of THAT panning out are slim." Serena d'Penzance appears to think on that statement for a moment, then laughs lightly. Serena d'Penzance says, "I thank you for the use of your library, Mr. Demetrius. And your assistance otherwise. I go now to make plans to take or destroy that squid. Hopefully, I will be contacted soon by those of my family whose aid I have sought." Esme Pariseau OOCly says, "Right. Before Corrine leaves, she NEEDS contact information from Demetrius. Sure the phone calls to Chaos are a bitch, but....." Demetrius nods. "I'll be here another two weeks refitting. If you wish to retain our services beyond that, contact me." Demetrius says, "Oh, and one more thing...." Demetrius riffles through his desk and pulls out a small sheaf of papers. "I'll need the signatures of you, and the other two. Down here at the bottom, next to mine and Princess Tess'." Demetrius says, "Your REAL signatures, if you please, m'lady." Serena d'Penzance looks over the papers, reading carefully, including fine print. Serena d'Penzance nods as she reads. "It would be convenient for us to be able to remain members of your 'crew' until such time as you must leave Avalon. And we may retain your services after that time." Demetrius nods. "I'll enter your *cough* 'names' on the Roll, and you can sign that as well. Then you WILL be members of the crew." Demetrius says, "Of course, anyone checking the books would discover that your pay is a florin a century.... but we don't let outsiders check our books." Serena d'Penzance says, "A good policy." Demetrius says, "As for my services, you have an open-ended contract with my for unlimited transport of personnel." Serena d'Penzance signs the paper. "Again, thank you. I will take this to the others, have them sign it, and return it to you." Demetrius says, "If you want me to fight again, or carry goods.... well, we'll negotiate something." Demetrius nods. "Thank you, m'lady." Serena d'Penzance departs, but does not go immediately to the quarters. ===================================== ===================================== Demetrius asks, "OOC: Should I go?" Dread Pirate Roberts says, "OOC Trump call's by page, you don't need to go yet." You page, "Meanwhile, Corrine makes at least several pages worth of sketches of things she's seen over the past weeks, 'cause she's now got the bleeping -downtime-... *wry look*" to Akemi. In a page-pose to you, Akemi nods! You page, "(including squid artwork, etc.)" to Akemi. In a page-pose to you, Akemi double nods! You page, "Oh, how's Shiz's stuff going?" to Akemi. Akemi pages, "He's got the seed, and he's been married to Urd against his will :)" to you. You page, "........" to Akemi. You page, "Errrrrrrrrrrrr?" to Akemi. Akemi pages, "It's hard to explain :)" to you. You page, "Oh, I can imagine. THIS is gonna be interesting for Shiz to explain once he gets back to Amber... (boy, are Corrine and Shiz going to have some stories to trade...)" to Akemi. Akemi pages, "Hehe." to you. Ishmael falls asleep. You page, "[Corrine idly twiddles her thumbs to wait for Juri's call to finish...]" to Akemi. Kima pages, "Whee! Father/Daughter conversation." to you. Akemi pages, "I think Mike's gonna have to go to bed soon, so I don't think we'll be doing much more today." to you. Demetrius asks, "We done?" Dread Pirate Roberts says, "OOC I think so. Mike's about to c9ollapse." Kima pages, "'So we have a group of extra-dimensional living trump coffee addict Finndos riding a giant Abyss Logrus squid. Is that basically what you're telling me?'" to you. You page, "Woohoo! Corrine would say hi, but she didn't follow along. :)" to Kima. You page, "Don't forget the Unnamed Finndo and the possible Descendant Finndo...." to Kima. Demetrius says, "Mm'kay." Kima pages, "Well, Juri wanted to talk to Daddy privately, since she's not officially his daughter and they need to keep the relationship secret for security reasons. ^^;;" to you. Mercutio has left. Kima pages, "She mentioned those, too." to you. You page, "Aaaaah. Well, like corrine knows -that- (she doesn't), anyway... but hey. She can grok it." to Kima. You page, "Has she gotten to the point of explaining "Oh, I'm Running Around With Dar's Physical Duplicate But She's Not A Shadow"?" to Kima. Kima pages, "Yup. Angus was doing a lot of '...'." to you. You page-pose, "Aerianne's imp of the perverse wants to have folks meet Corrine IC without disguise. Just to give HER a taste of what it feels like to have mistaken identity stuff out the wazoo. :) ;)" to Kima. You page, "(though< I think she admits being mistaken for a dead woman would be... not advisable at this point in time. So hey.)" to Kima. Kima pages, "Well, Caine of Amber was just assassinated while visiting, so everyone's pretty on-edge." to you. You page, ".... Whups." to Kima. Akemi has disconnected. You page, "... hrm. Suppose that's it for us tonight, then -- convo finished, or interrupted in the middle?" to Kima. Kima pages, "Finished when Mike went to bed." to you. You page, "Ah, so ka. Want to play chat of Juri getting back to the cabin, or call it quits for the night, and resume tomorrow?" to Kima. Kima pages, "Actually, Juri's still talking to her father in his office." to you. You page, "Aaaah. Okay, so on hold. I can deal. *wry look* Guess that's bed for us, then. Should be on tomorrow 'round 8-10 EST, since Droo, David, and I are gonna be at Jeff's." to Kima. Kima pages, "I may be sequested all day with my Symbolic Logic textbook. ^^;;" to you. You page-pose, "Aerianne patpats. Well, luck, Alan. And take care. :)" to Kima. Kima pages, "You too. Night." to you.
