Shizumaru chuckles. Shizumaru says, "Keep in mind that I don't ahve too much time before I have to head home, anyway." Corrine OOCly says, "Ah, so." Michelle has arrived. Michelle has left. You page, "Oh, a better 'cover story' for Keiko's sudden Fire Pattern attunement, etc." to Akemi. You page, "Basically, it's know Gendo was a randy ol' bastard in his youth (and later, for that matter), travelling shadow, falling in love, getting women pregnant, etc." to Akemi. You page, "If Keiko's family and relations are no longer about, etc, then then answer is simple. She's -clearly- the descendant of one of Gendo's forays into Shadow, several generations removed, and it wasn't -caught- until the present day." to Akemi. Miki says, "I probably should have told TR to log on before the time I wanted him, just to make sure he'd be here by when I did..." Bastard Rod_M unidles Corrine OOCly says, "heh." Rod has arrived. rodm has left. Mikage says, "OOC Sorry, saw the video a few days ago ^^;" Miki says, "OOC Okay, I'm alive and ready" Miki asks, "OOC Everyone else ready?" Shizumaru OOCly nods. Yep. Mikage says, "OOC Lemme start logging." Juri of Avalon says, "OOC: Should be." Mikage says, "OOC Ready." Corrine OOCly takes a deep breath. Right. Ready. *** Shizumaru goes IC. *** ============================================= ============================================= Two days of tense travel through shadow has nibbled away at your army; many of these shadows are full of strange, twisted monstrosities. Grass that eats people. Trees that crave flesh. Fluffy bunnies that sever head. Vampires who disturbingly resemble George W. Bush. And worse. Shizumaru OOCly says, "Oh. I do have one of the psyche barriers, right? Lent to me for this mission?" Corrine OOCly says, "By now you should, I think. same for Juri, Roderick, and other key folks." Shizumaru OOCly says, "All righty." Mikage says, "OOC Do I have one? ^^;" Shizumaru OOCly says, "You don't need one, mister 70+-psyche-in-a-100-point-game." Miki says, "OOC Oh yeah, like Mikage's psyche would be aided much by a 4 point item..:)" Corrine OOCly says, "I thought you were UberPsyche boy. *wl*" Mikage says, "OOC *snicker*" Shizumaru OOCly says, "Let's continue." The worst part of it has been the inability to contact any outside places. For all you know, 20,000 years has passed in Amber while you've been gone. Mikage plays the song 'Time of the Dreamwatch' while on the march. Corrine frowns slightly, riding along with Juri and the rest, estimating how many have been lost on the march. This was part of the risk, but the fact that reality hasn't unravelled around them would lend credence to the theory that they still -have- the time... Juri of Avalon does military-type things like keeping the morale of the troops up, and looking grouchy and harried. Shizumaru meditates and mulls over the battle plans. Gumi-Roderick rides near Juri, his ears wiggling furiously, keeping an eye out for potential magical threats. Corrine serves as moral support and coordination, as much good as it does -- but then again, armies have dealt with communication sans Trumps since the beginnign of time, they can do so again now. She keeps her Trump senses open as well, to watch for things. Shizumaru, Mikage, Falme, and Sparky have joined the air borne force flying above the army. [spoofed by Akemi] Akemi pages, "You sense EVIL BAD EVIL BAD EVIL BAD with trump senses, just like you have the last two days" to you. You page, "Okay, so slightly on edge, but understandably so." to Akemi. Corrine worries at her lower lip, again glad she laid out a flat-out order to not use Trumps, given the overall EVIL BAD sensation it's giving her. Off to your left is endless forest. Mikage maintains communications with Falme through their signets. Off to the right, the world plunges down into a valley of flame. Slowly the path ahead narrows as the open area rises and falls. Juri of Avalon has adopted her Battle Look, which mostly consists of looking extremely gorgeous and efficient, and displaying about as much open emotion as a wooden doll. Shizumaru glances at the forest, studying it thoughtfully, but mindful not to draw on his link to the Seed. Corrine hehs softly, looking slightly longingly at the power of Flame representative in the valley, but regretting her inability to tap it here. You page, "Even remote Demi-Jewel sense is cut off, here? (ie, not manifestations, but the raw Jewel bit?)" to Akemi. Akemi pages, "No, you can sense where the Jewel is, as that is a Pattern power." to you. You page, "I'm just at a real low ebb when it comes to actually tapping that Power, I imagine. Since the Manfestations are shut down for the nonce. *wl*" to Akemi. Up above, far off on the horizon, the air forces can see what might be the fortress you're looking for. Mikage asks, "Falme, is that the Keep?" Falme says, "You're the one who read Tsuwabuki's mind, not me." Mikage asks, "OOC Time out. I implanted the memory, remember?" Miki says, "OOC Doh. Right :)" Falme retcons that out. Falme says, "It appears to be the Keep, but I sense remarkably large amounts of Logrus near it." Mikage says, "Logrus, you say... I wonder..." Far away, the navy quietly sails through Shadow. "Annadil," mutters Shizumaru, under his breath. Mikage flies down to where Juri is. "Sir, we've spotted what appears to be the Keep." Corrine glances up as Sparky and co swoop down to report to Juri. Falme says, "I can sense a lot of Logrus energy present, though." Juri of Avalon quirks a bit at the "Sir", then begins asking, "How distant?", and various military-type questions about troop sightings, etc. Mikage nods. "Have we taken this into account in our plans?" Mikage oocly plays the song 'Dragonrider'. The aerial forces have spotted no troops outside the keep, but the top of the walls is lined with a sort of rainbow shimmery field, which is probably the result of trump elementals being posted on the walls. Juri of Avalon asks, "What sort of energy? Like that of an individual user, or otherwise?" Mikage says, "Massive amounts, plus what appears to be residual Trump energy." Corrine considers. "I would imagine that Annadil could very well have Chaosian allies in this... He doesn't need to necessarily draft from Shadow or twisted versions of our own reality..." Falme says, "It's hard to tell at this distance, but I would guess it's probably the result of one user with access to something boosting his power." Mikage nods. "My guess as well." Juri of Avalon frowns. "Like the Fount, or some kind of Logrus-related talisman?" "I don't know. But whatever it is, it's a LOT of power." He continues, "Probably not the Fount, though, as trying to use Trump to power Logrus would be, well, reasonably Fatal." Corrine asks, "Spikard, perhaps?" Falme nods. "It would be consistent with use of a Spikard or something like Mount Phoenix." Corrine quirks an eyebrow at the Mount Phoenix comment, curious. You page, "Oh, Corrine's wearing her silver armor for this. I somewhat suspect it's warranted. *wg* The loadout of pendants as detailed, and it's prolly somewhat tougher than her usual warden wear. Queens gotta be protected and all, and stuff." to Akemi. In a page-pose to you, Akemi nods "Anyway, I'm also picking up evidence the nature of this shadow has been fiddled with, so I won't be surprised if we start hitting some nasty shadow traps." Corrine nods. "Which fits with Annadil being 'King of the Keep'. Hoorah." Juri of Avalon shrugs pragmatically. "We're already committed. What shall be shall be. I'm already readjusting the plan as best I can to deal with the new developments." She begins summoning messengers and relaying the news, and whatever changes she thinks should be made because of it. Mikage says, "By your leave." Scouts sweep forward at your command to check for any traps...'minesweeping' time. Juri of Avalon nods. "Go on, if you have no more to say, and good luck." Mikage gives a salute and returns to the air. Corrine nods, and hrms, and Pattern-sights the immediate area as well, to try and pick out any "Shadow Traps." Gumi-Roderick begins quietly chanting, and soon summons a canary, which he sends forward. Corrine salutes Mikage as he flies back up. "Wind and Wood go with you, Mikage." Mikage nods to Corrine. "What is not, and what may yet be." Corrine nods in agreement, a slight smile quirked on her lips, before she goes back to her examination of the area, near Juri. You page, "Amusing thought -- if any of the troops are Ember Dwarves, they might've figured out a use for the "exploding pink stuff" as Molotov Cocktails, ala Myth. But dunno if it'd be too late to implement here. *wl*" to Akemi and Kima. Kima pages, "o/~ Dwarves with guns! (sung to the tune of 'Girls On Film'" to you and Akemi. The air force drops low to make it harder to see from afar as your army creeps closer and the scouts creep forward. You're about 20 miles from the Keep when the scouts report back. "The walls are guarded by hundreds of spirals of rainbow colored energy, and hundreds of twisted monstrosities. And there's this strange looking guy. He's got dark skin and long purple-white hair done up in a spikey style and a metal eye that shines a beam of light." Corrine arches an eyebrow at -that-. "... Trump elementals, Outsiders... and Annadil with some accessories?" Juri of Avalon frowns. "Anyone recognize him? Sounds like one of Annadil's kin." Juri of Avalon begins relaying the new info again, directing orders to sub-commanders and otherwise. You page, "does that desc ring -any- bells? Other than the general annadil ref?" to Akemi. Akemi pages, "The hairstyle sounds Vash-like." to you. Corrine hrms. "What sort of clothing was the man wearing?" Corrine frowns. "That hairstyle -almost- sounds Vash-like." Mikage says, "Sounds like Annadil, only..." Autolyca has connected. "A long red cloak, a sort of red buttoned jacket and black trousers. And he has a metal right hand, also red." Autolyca OOC waves hi Shizumaru blinks. "Metal eye...VENIR 2.0?" Corrine frowns at that again. "Sounds like a mutant cross between Annadil, Vash or Gideon, and VENIR." Shizumaru says, "...red right hand...." The scout says, "What's a VENIR 2.0?" Juri of Avalon nods. "The clothing sounds like Gideon. He might have taken a page from the Three Goddesses, and stolen genetic materials from my family to combine with his." "And the red right hand..." Juri does a lot of frowning at that, but says nothing more. Corrine says, "A sorceror that some of our number has crossed paths with before." Shizumaru looks at the copper ring on his finger, and tenatively probes it. o O ( Urd-sama? ) The scout says, "He was the only thing that looked very human." Corrine says, ".. or the 'Red Rider, and from his hand blazed death'..." She frowns at that. "He may very well be their heavy artillery, given that Logrus report." Mikage asks, "Do they appear prepared for a siege?" Falme nods. "It could well be a Chaos Mercenary. Perhaps CATS the Renegade or Lord Darka, or even Oiram. Shizumaru OOCly stares at Falme and smacks John. Mikage says, "OOC D'oh, CATS ^^;" Corrine glances at Falme. "Their capabilities?" "Well, if it's CATS, he's a notorious shapeshifter who likes to eat people and assimilate their abilities. Lord Darka was noted for his use of Primal Chaos to do things like lighting cigarettes. And if it's Oiram, we're already dead." Mikage says, "OOC Cats has tall spiky hair and a cyber eye... D'oh! *sound of whapping John*" Corrine OOCly sadly doesn't get it, save for a possible Trigun ref. Shizumaru OOCly says, "It's the All Your Base video, Phil." Corrine OOCly says, "Oh. -That-. *shudder*" Mikage says, "OOC I have the URL here somewhere..." Shizumaru OOCly says, "We'll show it to you later. Probably during the break when I'm driving home." Shizumaru OOCly says, "Which starts in about ten minutes. n.n;" Corrine OOCly says, "No need, I saw the animated gif, I get the ref now. Not the video, but it didn't particularly impress me." Corrine OOCly says, "Oiram the master Chaos Assassin!" Mikage says, "OOC I know that OOC, but I do have to ask IC, you know." Autolyca OOC Oiram the plumber! Corrine OOCly says, "Well, hey, works for me." ROd says, "OOCly if he's the opposite he'd be a roofer...." Autolyca OOC "Hey, plumbing in chaos can cross many different shadows. Don't be dissing the plumbers. Logrus Masters all" Falme says, "Oiram went renegade after he had a fight with his Lord, Lord Daigo. So he responded to being outcast by obliterating all of House Daigo in a single night. There's still a roiling sea of Primal Chaos there fifty years later." Shizumaru OOCly says, "Hush." Mikage says, "..." He continues, "Oiram then announced he would one day be King of Chaos and vanished into Shadow. Every so often, somethign is obliterated, and people assume he's to blame." Corrine whistles softly. "Though, if that's so, wouldn't it be just mete for him to level -us- the same way? We were hardly super-stealthy..." She then pauses. "On the flip side, doing so would put the Keep at risk." Mikage says, "Then let's assume this isn't him..." Juri of Avalon looks a bit embarassed. "Well, people don't always live up to their legend. A ha. A ha ha ha." Shizumaru looks up from his ring, looking pale. "Someone is shifting time flows to slow down where we are! Time is passing _faster_ in Amber!" Then he looks back at the copper ring. Roderick frowns. "Hmm, canary died at the ten mile range." [spoofed by Akemi] Corrine -stares-, and curses, mentally and vocally. He says to Shizumaru, "It is?" Mikage asks, "What?" Shizumaru nods absently, still concentrating on the ring. Juri of Avalon says, "If they're using Logrus to alter the Shadow, Pattern might be able to counter it." Corrine considers. "But if so, that'd mean that we'd already be hosed, but then wouldn't Shadow be starting to break apart?" She considers, and uses her funky Pattern Sight to evaluate Shizumaru's report, and see what she can do to counter it. "I'll see what I can do to counter, but I may start needing movement, and you might be better suited for it as well, Mikage." Shizumaru looks up. "Urd-sama suggested that someone use Pattern to counter the effects. She can lend her power to that person, as well." Akemi pages, "Yes, Pattern Sight reveals the Logrus is adjusting this shadow to flow slower than Amber. It's already into Day 74."" to you. Mikage says, "Damn... That would occupy me for the rest of this siege." Corrine says, "Let me do it." Mikage says, "Until someone took out the Logrus user." Corrine says, "Logrus is affecting the area, yes." Shizumaru nods. "Aunt Corrine, you will do it, then?" Juri of Avalon says, "We need you and the Bag of Winds for the aerial assault more than we need Corrine for the main one." Corrine says, "We're already a day -past- our original attack estimate." She nods to Shizumaru. "Yes, I will. Mikage, you're still on for assisting Shizumaru." Roderick says, "I will lend you my psychic strength, Corrine." [spoofed by Akemi] Mikage says, "ooc 'http://www.thekeep.org/~trunner/dragonrider.mp3'" Mikage nods. "Very well, then." Shizumaru OOCly says, "A day late? Oh, fantastic. -.-" Corrine nods. "Shizumaru, can you link me with Urd?" Juri of Avalon says, "I'll do what I can to kill this Logrus user quickly, although if he's protected by troops, it may be difficult." Mikage says, "If we spot him, we'll take him out." Corrine says, "I'll do what I can to adjust time back to normal, or perhaps even fast-time if possible." Corrine nods to Roderick as well. "I'll need all the boosting I can get." She quirks a slight smile. Shizumaru takes the ring off his finger and passes it to Corrine. "Here you go." Mikage asks, "We're losing time. Do we have the clearance to begin the aerial assault?" Juri of Avalon hrms. "What does it mean that the canary dies at ten miles?" Roderick says, "It means once we hit that range, magic stops working." [spoofed by Akemi] Corrine accepts the ring, shifts her gauntlet to signet ring form, slips on the copper ring, and then the ruby signet changes back to a golden gauntlet on her silver armor. "I'll keep it safe, Shizumaru." Juri of Avalon frowns. "Another part of the shadow-moulding using the Logrus?" Mikage nods. "Magic and lesser powers become ineffective at that range, then." He nods. "I believe so. Or it could mean that he's just put up a huge Magic Sink spell." Corrine says, "But that should... hopefully... mean it'll stop working for them, too." She frowns. "But at the same time, that takes out various of our defensive measures." Juri of Avalon asks, "Will that include words of power?" Mikage says, "Unfortunately." "But it does mean they can't use magic either. But it could knock out many of our protection items." Juri of Avalon asks, "Can you shift to remove that as well, Corrine?" Akemi pages, "Yes, you can try to edit that out." to you. Mikage says, "I believe an anti-magic barrier would negate Conjuration, Sorcery, and Power Words." Corrine considers, and tries using Pattern Sight to evaluate wether Magic's being knocked out by Logrus or by Spell. "I'll see what I can do to Edit them out." Gumi-Roderick puts a hand on Corrine's shoulder and closes his eyes. "I'm ready." Akemi pages, "The shadow has been modified using the Logrus to create a no-magic bubble" to you. Corrine tries the 'connect to Urd thing'. "Thanks, Roderick." She then slits her eyes, and starts trying for connection and to wield the power of the Pattern to remove the Logrus modifications, courtesy of Roderick and Urd's boosting of her powers. You page, "Time to start adjusting/shrinkign the bubble, if it's not possible to 'pop' it entirely. Whiel also shoving the time gradient back up to normal, and hopefully to fast time, relative to Amber/Ember." to Akemi. Akemi pages, "You need to start with one or the other, as you're not good enough to edit both at once." to you. You page, "Timeframe first. Gives us a breather." to Akemi. Akemi pages, "*Hello, your highness. Power feed activating.* You feel mega-quantities of psychic strength feeding into you." to you. Juri of Avalon frowns and pulls out the Spoon, which is now vibrating. "We're approaching real powerful Chaos, or it's coming towards us." Corrine quietly gasps, softly, and then sets herself to work. Roderick swears softly. [spoofed by Akemi] Juri of Avalon frowns deeper. "Stabilized now... a sudden burst of Chaos energy?" You page, "And corrine has LOADS of practice on that, having shifted Ember's timeframe back and forth the past few months/decades." to Akemi. Akemi pages, "You reach out and manage to adjust time...the Logrus user is apparently not trying to defend the time frame." to you. You page, "Okay, time to Speed Up Time, so it's nice and favorable for us... say 1 day here, one Minute Amber. Or even a half-minute." to Akemi. Akemi pages, "No problem." to you. Mikage says, "One more thing I just remembered... I faced an opponent a few days ago who wielded the power of the Abyss." Juri of Avalon scowls. "Delightful. But I refuse to star in Princess Juri and the Return of the Evil Black Tar, thank you very much. What did he look like?" Mikage says, "He was Anthy's son." Falme twitches. "The Logrus use is spiking up." Juri of Avalon holds up the spoon and stares intently at it. She shakes it a little. "Spoon, engage countermeasures! For great justice!" Corrine would facepalm, or go "Oh, -now- you tell us", but doesn't. Instead, she murmurs... "he wasn't defending the time rate... I've shoved it up to one day here equals a minute in Amber. He may have started to notice, though.... Moving to trying to counter the Magic-Bubble." Mikage says, "Brilliant. If we don't do something soon we'll be wiped out before we ever reach ten miles." Mikage OOC baps Alan. Falme blinks. Falme says, "I suddenly feel quite ill." Juri of Avalon says, "Can you detect where the user is? If so, we should launch a strike to kill him. He may be nearby." Mikage checks Falme's condition through the ring. A voice booms across the sky. "HOW ARE YOU, GENTLEMEN?" You page, "Starting to work on countering that No-magic bubble, with the backup of folks." to Akemi. Akemi pages, "Okay, you feel the Logrus user pushing back HARD" to you. Corrine blinks at that. Mikage exclaims, "OOC DO'H!" Corrine OOCly says, "Oh my." Mikage OOC @BAPBAPBAP! Mikage OOC At least we know who it is, now ^^; Shizumaru OOCly says, "Where the hell is the next shift? I should have been out of here ten minutes ago." Corrine snarls a bit. "THAT got his attention... whoever it is, he's pushing bakc hard." She draws on Urd's power, and Roderick's assitance, and her own skills to shove down the no-magic bubble, perhaps even 'popping' it, if she can... whittling it down if not. Juri of Avalon draws her sword one-handed, keeping the Spoon clutched in her fist. "Mikage, where is he?" "ALL YOUR PATTERN ARE BELONG TO US. Corrine continues the thing of counteracting the anti-magic Logrus-Caused bubble around the Keep. One thing at a time. Juri of Avalon asks, "Locate the Logrus Master. Is he close?" Akemi pages, "You concentrate. You can feel the spoon is protecting a several hundred foot bubble against Chaos around Juri. But the Logrus user is damn strong, and this is going to be slow. You think he's in the Keep." to you. Shizumaru shakes his head. "I am getting a bad feeling," he says. Shizumaru looks around, bristling. Corrine frowns. "I think he's in the Keep, Juri... the Spoon... it's protecting you and several hundred feet around you against Chaos, but at the same time it's gonna take me a long time to break through the bubble... he's STRONG." High above you, the air force circles, waiting for orders. Shizumaru's face goes stony. "The Seed is not in the Keep. It is...past the Keep." Mikage asks, "What?" Juri of Avalon starts. "Are you certain?" YOU HAVE NO CHANCE TO SURVIVE MAKE YOUR TIME Shizumaru holds up a hand, concentrating. "Wait." Corrine murmurs, still concentrating on that collapse-magic-bubble thing. "oh shit." Shizumaru snarls. "It is out in shadow about another hour's ride past the Keep." Mikage asks, "Are you certain?" Juri of Avalon asks, "Is it being moved?" Corrine asks, "which shadow, which direction, and current location?" And then the Keep begins to shine brightly. Shizumaru looks at Mikage. "As certain as I can be with my link to the Seed." He continues tracking the Seed's location, trying to sense movement, et cetera. Shizumaru shakes his head. "It is stationary, at least. But we must move." Corrine nods. "Well, if we don't NEED to assault the Keep, now..." She looks at Juri, and then blinks at the glowing Keep. Mikage says, "Brilliant. Your orders, Juri." Akemi pages, "You feel MASSIVE LOGRUS BUILD UP" to you. Juri of Avalon begins rethinking her plans to decide the best course of action given this radical new development, and the forces and resources available to her. Corrine exclaims, "SHIT! LOGRUS BUILDUP!" Mikage exclaims, "Primal Chaos!" Juri of Avalon shouts orders. "Air force! Climb! Mikage, help me focus the Spoon to negate this!" You page, "Hrm... given the magic-editing thing doesn't seem to be working, could Corrine try to edit things to allow connection with Gabrielle?" to Akemi. Akemi pages, "You could try, though you don't know if you have time." to you. You page, "Fuck. Shift to moving to help boost Juri, including Urd and co." to Akemi. Juri of Avalon says, "We'll need everyone's help. Shit!" The Air Force begins to climb as the Keep glows brighter and brighter. Shiz, you gonna stay on the ground or have Sparky take you airborn? Mikage places his hand on Juri's shoulder. Shizumaru goes airborne. Juri of Avalon holds the Spoon aloft and _focuses_. Corrine places her hand, the one with Urd's ring on it, on Juri's other shoulder. And then two things happen at once. White hot light pours forth from the Spoon in an ever growing radius. And the Keep turns pitch black and does the AKIRA!!!!!!!!!!!! explosion thing Shizumaru calls down. "That is not the Keep! The Seed is in the Fount--but not twenty miles away...." And then the two energy fields rush at each other. As the air force CLIMBS Shizumaru tells Sparky to stay within the Spoon field. Sparky dives with Shizumaru down into the light. The rest of the air force, confused, scatters. Mikage exclaims, "Damn! It was a decoy all along!" And then Light and Darkness slam together. Shizumaru shouts toward the rest of the Air Force, "Into the light, dammit!" He curses. Corrine . o O (Please, arshes, do the right thing and get the folks OUT of there....) Juri of Avalon grits her teeth and hangs onto the Spoon for dear life. Corrine snarls, and throws her mental weight, and Urd's, and Roderick's, into and through Juri to the Spoon. The Darkness rushes forward, pushing back the light. But then it begins to ebb, for it is an explosion, not a continual stream. And the Light pushes back the darkness. Mikage exclaims, "An opening!" And expands across the landscape. Everything around you boils away. Corrine . o O (We Shall BE the LIGHT that PUSHES *BACK* THE DARKNESS!) Juri of Avalon . o O (We are so fucked) and finally, there is silence as you stand on a flat, level plane of glass. About half your army has been evaporate. And a third of the air force has gone 'poof' Shizumaru grimly surveys the landscape. "He will pay for this." Mikage says, "Brilliant." Corrine stares. She mentally curses at the loss of the army and airforce, and starts Patternsighting the place. Juri of Avalon frowns. "We push on. No other choice. We've committed ourselves, and must retrieve the seed." Mikage lets go of Juri and begins to lift into the air. "Enough!" Mikage exclaims, "Permission to begin the airstrikes!" The words SOMEBODY SET US UP THE BOMB--CATS is burned into the Glass. Corrine looks over at Shizumaru. "Location of the Seed now, Shizumaru?" Corrine OOCly says, "Cute, John." Shizumaru tracks the Seed. Corrine continues environmentally patternsighting. Shizumaru points forward. "A ride of half and hour." Akemi pages, "This Shadow is now full of Patterny Goodness" to you. Juri of Avalon says, "OOC: What does Juri think would be best? Begin airstrikes now, or later? Or what? I can't adjust to rapid changes in the tactical situation like she can, unfortunately." Shizumaru OOCly says, "Er, half an hour." Corrine nods. "At least our gradient is still favorable... and this Shadow, for the nonce, is Charged with the Pattern. Totally." Mikage clicks his tongue. "We've lost half our army. The other half is scared stiff." Corrine OOCly says, "I think with the remainder, they still need to get closer, but with the way BLASTED clear...." You page, "Checking gradient." to Akemi. Akemi pages, "Time here is set to Amber Standard" to you. You page, "Righto. Trying to adjust gradient again." to Akemi. Shizumaru looks at Corrine and Juri. "Pattern energy. Elder signs. Mmmmm." Juri of Avalon begins rallying the remaining troops as best she can. "Go ahead with the air force. I'll continue with the rest of the army." Juri of Avalon says, "The navy is likely destroyed by traps. We'll have to make due with what we can. Retrieval of the Seed is still paramount." Corrine looks to Juri, and nods. "The gradient has apparently been reset to Amber standard. I'll see what I can do for making it favorable once more to us." Mikage nods and rises into the air. "Air force, assemble!" Shizumaru follows Mikage on Sparky's back. Corrine stays with Juri, 'o course. The air force swirls around Mikage and assembles into its wedges The army begins to move forward. So does the Air force. After a few hundred feet, shadow flickers and you're back on a ridge approaching the Keep again. Corrine OOCly , privately, is very glad she DIDN't commit her full forces for this. Faint reassurance, but still. Shizumaru tracks the Seed now. Does it appear to be in _this_ Keep? Juri of Avalon hands the Spoon somewhat reluctantly to Roderick. "You're in charge of this. Counter any more bombs as best you can." Akemi pages, "Time gradient is set badly." to you. You page, "Eh? More resistance, now?" to Akemi. Akemi pages, "You've passed into another shadow where a little time here is a long time in Amber." to you. You page, "Working on getting it favorable once more... back up to what we were trying to do with that first trap. one Amber minute several hours/days here." to Akemi. Gumi-Roderick nods. "I will do my best." He concentrates and the Spoon glows brightly. Corrine snarls. "we're in another shadow with an unfavorable gradient. -dammit-, working to counteract." You press onwards; the sun does funky ass moving about like it's on crack as Corrine wrestles with the Time Gradient. And the air force surges ahead of you towards the Rainbow Shimmering Keep. Corrine mutters, drawing on Urd's assistance to fix things but GOOD for our heroes. Shizumaru flies Sparky toward Mikage. "Oniisan, can you ask Falme where the borders of Shadow are here? Between us and the Keep ahead, that is." Shizumaru says, "Or if you can determine that yourself." Juri of Avalon leads the armies onward, sword drawn, looking haggard and driven. Corrine keeps pace with Juri, but keeps focus on the Pattern Sighting and counteracting of such wacky things that may come up in that regard. Foxtrot has connected. >> We have arrived, you may kiss my foot, now. Shizumaru OOCly says, "Hey, Trish. Watch us get our asses kicked." Hiko the Firechilde OOCLY says, "Cool." The air force units prepare their bombs and trump sinks. Your commando units wheel off into the forest to approach the keep from that side. ROd says, "OOCly hey there" And then explosions begin to rock the forest, and the sound of fighting, as if perhaps someone had hidden a large army in it... And the Commandoes had run into that force. Corrine curses. And then evaluates the gradients for the adjacent shadows. Parts of the forest begin to burn belching smoke. The ground troops speed up to doublestep. And then the air force begins to dive towards the Keep. Juri of Avalon swears and begins shouting orders left and right as the battle begins. Akemi pages, "Time flows faster in Metal than Wood, thanks to your tampering" to you. Shizumaru starts slinging seed packets at the courtyard. Corrine stays close to the core group, also backed up with her bodyguards, and relates to Juri, "Time's flowing slower in the Wood Shadow, Juri! We're moving faster!" Members of the Air force begin attacking each other as Trump Elementals assault them. Some trump elementals die horribly as Trump Sinks land near them and blow them to bits. You page, "The Fire Valley is also slow, too?" to Akemi. Akemi pages, "Yes" to you. Shizumaru OOCly says, "People, stop paging me unless you're the GM. -.- I need to concentrate." Hiko the Firechilde OOCLY says, "Sorry, Drew." Corrine exclaims, "Same with the Fire Valley!" Juri of Avalon nods and bellows more orders, waving her sword and rearing her horse to get a better view of the situation. Shizumaru unleashes some Chibi-Cthulhus, as well, to combat the Trump Elementals. Seed packets fall all over the interior of the keep, as the enemy ignores the 'harmless' things Chibi-Cthulus attack, distracting many of the Trump Elementals. Your Cavalry rushes forward as archers and catapults begin to shell the Keep. Shizumaru continues throwing seed packets of all various sorts of plants--vines, great trees, thornbushes, et cetera--but not growing them. Yet. And then the air rips open in front of the keep and thousands of foot and cavalry pour through, flying a Black Unicorn flag. And at their head rides a dark haired man with a Silver Arm. Corrine snarls. "The Man With The Silver Arm. Embra-Drake." Juri of Avalon _stares_ at Silver Arm. "No. Benedict." Corrine -blinks-? Shizumaru points at the Keep. "GROW!" Roderick begins to gibber. "I see Uncle Corwin...and uncle Gerard...and...Father..." [spoofed by Akemi] You page, "Hm, does it feel as if the gradient won't be adjusted, now, if Corrine stops tampering?" to Akemi. You page, "(ie, if Corrine stops, will it stay in place?)" to Akemi. Akemi pages, "You don't know." to you. Juri of Avalon says soothingly, "They're not real, Rod. Facsimilies from Shadow." Corrine says, "... naught but shadows, Roderick. Twisted by the Keep and Annadil." And then Benedict and a knot of riders charge straight for where Juri/Corrine/Roderick are. Shizumaru urges Sparky toward the Keep, but mindful to dodge any shelling. "Tangle...snarl...smash...break...I AM THE CHILD OF WOOD! I COMMAND THE PLANTS!" And behind them, the keep begins to shake as thousands of plants erupt up inside it. And inside the Keep, the Font begins to surge, gouting rainbow energy into the air. You page, "Hard to Fight and Concentrate on adjusting the environment at the same time, yes?" to Akemi. Akemi pages, "It's a good way to DIE" to you. Vines begin to grow over the surface of the keep Juri of Avalon wheels her horse to meet Benedict, sword drawn and teeth gritted. "Let us see how close you are to the real thing!" Riders try to intercept Benedict's crew, but he chainsaws through them. Benedict nods grimly at Juri. "We shall." You page, "Right, dropping the concentration for the moment, shifting to combat mode, since Dying would be bad if she got taken out. Presume Azaka and Kamidake are with Corrine?" to Akemi. Akemi pages, "Yes" to you. A man in black armor with a silver rose on it makes for Corrine Corrine OOCly says, "Oh, this is Going to be cute." And Bleys makes for Roderick, who draws his sword and looks scared shitless. The forest suddenly wrenches out of the ground and begins to march uphill towards your armies' left flank, with soldiers marching with it. Corrine frowns, and readies her trump blade and manifestation sword, wheeling to meet the man in black, her own silver armor with gleaming gold maple leaf and ruby pyricorn sigil flaring in the sunlight.. Juri of Avalon laughs and raises her sword high. "Don't die on me, Rod! You either, Corrine! We've too much left to do for that!" Miki says, "OOC Pause. I just realized TR hasn't done anything in about 20 minutes.." Corrine OOCly says, "ooops." Shizumaru OOCly says, "...d'oh." Miki asks, "OOC TR, you alive?" You page, "Oh, I suspect Corrine's armor has a red cloak to it. Standard Queenly type-thing." to Akemi. You page, "They've got some magic, I assume, plus their staves, and hell, it IS their job. If nothing else, they'll soften him up, I hope. Mikage exclaims, "OOC GAme time!" Seeds and bombs rain down on the keep. The bombs all vanish. the seeds keep going, 'cause they're too small to target very well. Shizumaru mutters, but continues to urge Sparky on, toward the Seed. Corrine's two bodyguards rush the black armored man. Benedict engages Juri, his staff against her Pattern blade. Sparks fly as the weapons clash. Corrine snarls, breifly, letting Azaka and Kamidake handle this for the moment as she tries to deal with the time gradient... AGAIN. And Roderick whimpers, then charges at Bleys on his horse as Bleys forms a glowing sphere of flame in one hand. More trees explode inside the keep, and now font energy is spilling everywhere. Shizumaru takes out a handful of vines seeds, and holds onto them, studying the Keep throughtfully. Juri snaps out words of power, managing to make Benedict flinch. Her blade darts in, nickign him each time...with her blade the result is an ugly wound. Meanwhile, Corwin proceeds to methodically beat the crap out of Corrine's bodyguards. They fight well, but he fights well AND Dirty. Azaka is likely going to be singing soprano after this... Hiko the Firechilde OOCly WINCES Akemi pages, "And there's still a mind or three fighting to fiddle the shadow at you." to you. Corrine frowns at that, but waits for her own opening, planning to repay tit-for-tat, in the interim still forcing the Shadow to be favorable to the attackers, our heroes, backed up by Urd. [spoofed by Akemi] And then the winds over the Keep howl to life, knocking aside any missile fire from the Keep up at the air force. Chibi-Cthulus run wild inside it as the Keep turns GREEN from plants And a giant wooden hand forms inside the surging font energy and begins to reach towards Shizumaru Meanwhile, Juri begins to drive Benedict back. He seems slightly non-plussed. Corrine OOCly says, "Hm. Wood. Lightning. Conductor." Shizumaru pulls away from the hand desperately. "MIKAGE! CATCH THE SEED WITH THE BAG OF WINDS!" Kamidake loses his left arm. Mikage draws the power of the winds to lift the seed into the air. You page, "How does it feel about the gradient stuff at the moment?" to Akemi. Akemi pages, "You can hold the gradient, but if you stop, time is gonna get adjusted hostilely on you." to you. Shizumaru tries to have the seeds grow into vines still in his hands to go grab the Seed. And the forest, which was attacking you...begins to fuse together into some sort of giant wooden woman... Benedict slowly gives ground and Juri pushes him back. Corrine snarls, muttering under her breath. "well, FUCK this....." But she holds her position for the moment, pursing her lips, watching with narrowed eyes. Vines grow up along the hand, and wind hits the Seed and the font energy, knocking the seed towards Mikage... Kamidake loses his other arm. Mikage rushes for the seed. He then loses a leg when he tries to kick Corwin and falls down. Corwin strides towards Corrine. Juri of Avalon swings her blade in wide arcs, grinning a bit. "You are not your caster's equal, shadow." You page, "Right is Corwin on foot on or on horse?" to Akemi. Akemi pages, "He's on foot now; his horse died at the hands of your bodyguards" to you. Meanwhile, Roderick flies about, drawing Bley's magical fire, repeatedly singed. He's clearly in trouble. And then, as Mikage reaches for the Seed...a petite Red head standing on the palm of the huge wooden hand smiles at him and gestures and the Seed flies into her hands. She waggles a finger at Mikage. Mikage exclaims, "OOC Fiona!" Autolyca OOC I'm more worried about Shadow Corwin and Corrine. Looks bad for her You page, "Drop concentration, rush for Corwin, unhook cloak and use it to bind him. The horse itself is a sacrifice, if necessary, have it run INTO him. Corrine will likely dismount in the process." to Akemi. Akemi pages, "Wise woman. And a Corwin like plan :)" to you. You page, "Damn Straight. :)" to Akemi. You page, "Once she's down, close in to try to get to grapple distance, swords are sacrificial. Needless to say, she's going to at LEAST try to rack him for what he did to Azaka. And with her strength...." to Akemi. Shizumaru stares, and hurls a golden acorn into the Keep Courtyard. Corwin says to Corrine, "You could be a relative. Well, I've had to kill relatives before." Corrine doesn't answer, just charges. Shizumaru exclaims, "I AM THE CHILD OF WOOD! The Seed of Hope is MINE!" Mikage says, "Hand over the seed." Fiona grins. "Make me, little boy." And then she gestures at you and a million spears erupt towards Mikage. Mikage smiles. "Very well." He waves a hand and wraps a twister around him. The twister deflects the spears. Corrine sends her horse at Corwin who dodges to one side. Corrine sweeps out with her free hand, unhooking her cloak and sweeping it around Corwin to bind him and pull off balance. She whips her cloak around. Greyswandir lashes out and cuts it to bits. But this puts Corrine within GRABBING distance of Corwin. Corwin tries kicking her in the balls. Sadly, she doesn't have any, though it still hurts. And then the keep REALLY RUMBLEs Mikage says, "OOC Dirty, dirty fighter. :) Gotta love Corwin." And the ground rips open more. The walls fall. And a giant golden tree erupts up out of the heart of the Keep Dark energies lash about its roots. And then Magic and Trump go UTTERLY DEAD Shizumaru says, "The trees step aside for me. Vines thread and snake as I command." Bleys' eyes widen Corrine winces as her armor takes some of the damage, and then RETURNS the favor, moving to rack Corwin. Shizumaru says, "Thorns shall block my enemies' path, while my friends lay down on soft beds of grass." And then Roderick turns into a demon and drops on him. Hiko the Firechilde OOCLY says, "ooh....." Shizumaru says, "Roses scent my footsteps in peace, while brambles pave my way in war." Corwin and Corrine begin to BEAT THE CRAP out of each other very impressively. Shizumaru says, "Roses scent my footsteps in peace, while brambles pave my way in war." And then the giant Forest-Woman charges at Shizumaru. Fiona drops out of sight as the wooden hand she is on crumbles. Thousands of spears fly around Mikage in a whirlwind Shizumaru urges Sparky toward the false Fiona. Juri of Avalon continues grimly battling with Benedict. Mikage rushes towards Fiona. "Come then, woman! I have some spears I wish to return to you!" Benedict gets cut several more times, but finally breaks Juri's defenses. The blow breaks two ribs. The giant forest woman rushes towards the keep, and in her wake, plants warp and mutate as she walks. Streamers of black run through the tree, then burn away Mikage oocly plays Heretics from FF Tactics. Roderick and Bleys struggle desperately. Corwin pokes one of Corrine's eyes and she manages to knee him in the balls. Then they take turns slamming each other into the ground. [spoofed by Akemi] Mikage asks, "OOC Er... you meant Corrine, right?" Corwin poked Corrine's eye... You page, "Any way to get an upper hand in this, somehow?" to Akemi. Mikage dives into the underbrush, hunting Fiona. Falme flies alongside. Corrine winces at the eye poke, but dammit, she's had worse. Miki listens to 'Red Right Hand' Shizumaru goes into the cover of the vegetation in the Courtyard, away from the Giant Woman. Hiko the Firechilde OOCly grins, forwarding Drew's misdirected pages. Juri of Avalon winces as her ribs break, but keeps on fighting, having also had worse. Shizumaru OOCly says, "Good heavens, I'm shivering and nauseous iRL in anxiety over this. x.X" Mikage exclaims, "Hand over the seed and I'll grant you a quick death, shadow!" Shizumaru tracks the Seed within the Courtyard. Hiko the Firechilde OOCLY says, "That happened to me, too, during my battle with Rei." The giant woman begins ripping the Keep apart, trying to get to Shizumaru. "MY CHILD, YOU MUST COME TO ME SO I NEED NOT CONSUME YOU" You page, "Righto. She darts into the actual KEEP part of the Keep through a door. Shizumaru drops pineapple grenade trees behind himself, tell them to grow, then lob their fruit at the Woman. Shizumaru also tells this Shadow that the Keep Building is no longer there. Mikage asks, "Brilliant... Shall we, Falme?" Shizumaru exclaims, "Stay away from the building, Mikage!" Falme nods to Mikage. The building, oddly, fails to collapse. Mikage says, "But she's gone inside with the Seed..." Shizumaru snarls. "All right, go ahead! I will follow!" It just hangs out. And then the Giant woman, pelted by explosive pineapples, reaches for Shiz... Shizumaru decides there is suddenly a tunnel in front of him that he ducks into. Mikage enters, followed by Falme. Shizumaru OOCly says, "A shallow tunnel that leads back up to the surface, quickly, but closer to the Keep." Outside, Corrine suddenly produces a sword from nowhere and stabs Corwin in the liver before he batters the sword out of her hands and pulls off her left ear. But she whips out a knife and cuts his cheek open and slices his nose in half. Shizumaru vanishes into a tunnel. While he is below, the Forest-Woman attacks the Golden Tree [spoofed by Akemi] Shizumaru OOCly says, "John, is Gaby still pinging?" Gabrielle asks, "OOC: Mrr?" Miki says, "OOC Yeah, but Trump is cut off :)" Shizumaru OOCly says, "Ack. What about Corrine, outside the Keep?" Corrine OOCly says, "I don't think that the mainfestations are dependant on Trump, John." Miki says, "OOC Also, Gabby is pinging once every half hour." Gabrielle says, "OOC: Gabrielle is Under The Sea right now." Corrine OOCly says, "Recall,s he's a -pattern- construct, primarily, not trump. But this is true, yes. Urk." Hiko the Firechilde OOCLY says, "Yes... she is." Miki says, "OOC That too :)" Shizumaru OOCly groans. Corrine OOCly says, "Oh Great." Corrine OOCly says, "Though, not -all- of her focus would be on that, yes? Pinging sounds like an automated process to me, and Corrine doesn't NEEd to have Gaby convoing to do stuff." Shizumaru comes back out, and turns toward the woman. He commands her structure to rot. Corrine screams, wondering what the fuck happened to her helmet... oh yeah, it got battered off in the hand to hand. Time to FINISH this, slamming fists forward, gauntlets changing to blades. Shizumaru tells the ground to erupt around the woman and engulf her. The gauntlets change to blades. Corwin loses both ears and an eye. Meanwhile, he produces a knife and rips Corrine's belly open. But Corrine is pretty damn tough and can take it. Juri of Avalon says, "OOC: This is why Juri uses Strength instead of Warfare. Giant Woman seems rather resistant to The Seed's Powers. Mikage takes the seeds. "Fine, whatever these are." Outside, Corrine and Corwin rip each other apart. You page, "Yergh." to Akemi. Roderick begins to bang Bleys' head against the ground. "and this is for the time you stole my girlfriend!!!" [spoofed by Akemi] Shizumaru turns toward the Woman, and tells every single plant under his control to attack the Woman. As well as the shadow molding itself however Shizu and his l33t warfare decide is the best way to do it. Shizumaru OOCly says, "Shadow molding itself to rip the giant woman apart." Corrine OOCly . o O (Roderick... clearly has some issues with his father.) The woman turns. She is ripped apart and constantly reforms. You have the impression that if Shiz had a stronger mind, she would die, but... Mikage tsks. Mikage turns around. "Wait here, Falme." Benedict almost loses an arm, but the Pattern blade glances off it. Shizumaru says, "...Mikage, help me for a moment. I need to borrow your will." Falme nods. Mikage flies toward Shizumaru. "Does it have a will?" Shizumaru snaps around. "THE SEED! IT IS GOING TO BE THROWN INTO A SUN!" You page, "Corrine's power-word pendant only had the Trump one, yes? Juri of Avalon glances back briefly at Rod and Bleys, screams piercingly, and throws herself more aggressively at Benedict, trying to finish things off with him in order to go to Rod's aid. You take three nasty wounds and your left arm aches. And then you stab Benedict's left lung and Benedict quietly spurts blood and falls. Desperately, Corrine manages to throw Corwin off her He rolls, and reaches under a rock and pulls out Greyswandir Mikage says, "AAAaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh" Mikage clutches at his head.... Falme wraps black tendrils around Mikage's head. Hiko the Firechilde OOCLY says, "The Tree Woman, ne?" Mikage falls to the ground, babbling incoherently... Shizumaru OOCly sighs. Roderick falls back desperately as Bleys slashes at him. [spoofed by Akemi] Corrine backs UP, rapidly, grabbing for her former-crossbow, shifting it to Whalekiller mode and opening with cold steel silver head bolts. Miki says, "OOC Doh, Shiz ran into the Keep..." Juri of Avalon swings her horse towards Bleys and charges, eyes narrowed and lips tight. Shizumaru runs in the door of the Keep. A BIG BURLY MAN is waiting for him. [spoofed by Akemi] Corrine shifts one of her other knives to a pistol, breifly, to open fire as well. Hey. You never know. Gerard hits Shizumaru so hard his ancestors die. Mikage says, "..." Shizumaru, however, peels himself out of the remains of the door and stands. [spoofed by Akemi] Shizumaru OOCly says, "...I'd think my warfare would have been prepared for guards." Mikage says, "... hnnnnh ..." Miki says, "OOC Gerard's Strength OWNS your warfare." Shizumaru OOCly says, "Oh yeah. -.-" Corrine OOCly says, "Well, We ALMOST had things there for a while...." Falme looks thoughtful, then laughs. Mikage sits back up... "Uh..." Black tentacles erupt from him at the Giant Tree Woman She casually grabs them. Shizumaru throws some bamboo seeds between Gerard's legs and tell them to grow really, really, really quickly. Spiky crotch shot. Mikage exclaims, "Falme, what are you doing?!" And then Falme FLIES upwards. He and Giant Tree Woman vanish Mikage says, "Falme..." Mikage says, "...That's... Shub-Niggurath..." Mikage composes himself, and strides towards Gerard and Shizumaru's melee. Bleys chases a limping Roderick around. Gerard takes a NASTY shot to the groin as spikey bamboo rises up under him. Juri of Avalon watches Roderick and Bleys, then Corrine and Corwin, visibly agonized. Then she spins her horse towards Corwin and goes for him. Mikage touches Gerard as he recovers from the groin shot. "Die." Two things happen. Gerard lashes out and breaks both of Mikage's arms. Shizumaru attacks Gerard with his word as soon as Mikage comes close. And then Gerard screams and collapses. Shizumaru OOCly says, "Er, sword...never mind." Corrine OOCly says, "'es dead, Shiz." Mikage falls to the ground... "Shizumaru... you don't have... much time..." Shizumaru sprints forward past Gerard as fast as he can, toward the Seed. Any chance of pulling the Seed toward me a la Shaft and Justice? Juri rushes at Corwin, who is forced to turn and face Juri. Juri forces Corwin back with her superior skills. Corrine takes this opportunity to nicely try and recover, thank you. There is a bright flash and the Seed, burnt and crispy on the outside, appears in Shizumaru's hands. Shizumaru stares at it. Then runs out of the Keep building. Corrine OOCly says, "hot damn." And then a woman with a double bladed axe in black armor attacks Shizumaru, who parries with his sword. Mikage is lying on his back, sweating heavily... Corrine OOCly says, "And oh look. -Dierdrie-." Shizumaru fights defensively, trying to get away. And a red-haired man stands over Mikage, grinning. Mikage says, "No..." Shizumaru drops seeds everywhere as he goes, of course. Corrine OOCly says, "And.... -glk-." He begins to bend over, his hand reaching towards Mikage's head. And grows them. Mikage exclaims, "No... no... no...!" A forest rises up, slowing Deirdre. Shizumaru rushes past her towards where Mikage lies in agony. Okay, you're bleeding madly, Corrine. What ya gonna do? Shizumaru turns on magic, to activate the psyche barrier, and throws seeds at Brand. Corrine is likely going to look for SOMEBODY to help with healing/binding these wounds before she collapses. Two soldiers rush over and begin to bind Corrine's wounds. Shizumaru also throws his umbrella at Brand, who is trying to attack Mikage. Everything but the kitchen sink. Juri of Avalon is doing her best to own Corwin. Corrine . o O (Thank Hell. Now what about this place's environment? *evaluate via senses*) Corwin seems invulnerable to Power words somehow, but Juri actually outmatches him. He's fighting very conservatively. Then the soldiers with Corrine each die with a silver crossbow bolt through the throat. A swarthy man grins. Foxtrot drops Vixxy. Vixxy has left. Corrine narrows her eyes, and opens fire with Whalekiller again. at the Swarthy Man, that is. Mikage says, "Caine..." The swarthy man sweatdrops and dives for cover,. Falme appears next to Mikage suddely. Mikage says, "I..." Mikage asks, "What... happened to you?" Right as Brand's hand touches Mikage's forehead, black tentacles wrap around Brand, flinging him back into the woods. Shizumaru runs up. Corrine smiles, coldly. IT's a very, VERY Darakoish smile, with no light in her blue eyes to match it. Open fire a few more, and see if there's a nice boulder or two to lob. Also going with her other, more normal crossbow. Shizumaru tells the woods to tramble Brand. And as he does so, Deirdre runs up behind him. And out of the woods...Julian charges. Shizumaru exclaims, "GET US OUT OF HERE!" Mikage says, "Falme... get us... out of here..." You page, "Where's sparky, mentally? And the rest of the dragons?" to Akemi. Akemi pages, "They're fighting Chaosian monsters and Flying Octupi in the Sky" to you. You page, "Right. 'nm, then." to Akemi. Falme reaches out with the Logrus and... And then... "Taking off at the Speed of Light! Team Rebma is here!" Corrine OOCly says, "......." Mikage asks, "OOC Er, is that in game...?" Hiko the Firechilde OOCly falls over from waiting.... Shizumaru OOCly says, "Excuse me? John? Have you gone mad?" Random and Llewella, dressed in rather ludicrous costumes drop down out of a tree and LEAP at Shizumaru, weapons drawn. Dancing Ed OOCly BOGGLES. Corrine OOCly says, ".... Yup, John's gone mad." Mikage says, "OOC Dear lordy..." Falme says, "Shit, Logrus is being BLOCKED!!!!" Caine forces Corrine to mow down her own soldiers as she shoots at him. Shizumaru drops a whole bunch of seeds, and grows a forest beneath him. How close can you contribute to power?" to Akemi and Mercutio. And then, up in the sky, there is a flash of light. Mikage says, "...Unh... damn it... could you tend to my arms... please..." And five thousand flying beds plunge down out of a hole in the air. Shizumaru OOCly says, "Bedpirates?" Wasyuu leads the horde of Bedpirates, cackling maniacally. Gideon stands on the bed behind her, grinning widely. Corrine OOCly says, "Good Lord, it's the Bed Cavalry." Shizumaru OOCly says, "Okay, John, Shizumaru tries to get to a place where he can be safe and concentrate on molding this Shadow." Shizumaru OOCly says, "Because dammit, I used the Acorn, and I want my fair share of it. o.o" Juri of Avalon glances up as she battles Corwin, sees Gideon and the bedpirates, and, despite everything, laughs. Then she goes back to hammering Corwin. Mikage asks, "Where did you leave... Shub-Niggurath?" "Oh, I threw her into this whirlpool I found," Falme says Shizumaru OOCly says, "Because dammit, I used the Acorn, and I want my fair share of it. o.o" Corrine -stares- at the bedpirates, breifly, eyes widening as she realizes something. She snaps her knives back to gauntlets. Corrine OOCly stares at Falme. Good lord. Shizumaru OOCly says, "Well, Gaby will be there to torch her, at least." Wasyuu shouts, "WHO WANTS TO LIVE FOREVER! DIVE!" Gideon laughs and commands his bed to fly over the enemy army, dropping small balls left and right. Mikage says, "The... whirlpool..." he chuckles, painfully... "good work..." The keep shakes and Shimmeys as Shizumaru begins empowering an Elder Seal Juri falls back, Corwin rushes her, she shoots him in the throat with an Elder Sign Crossbow bolt. Corwin falls splurting blood, then tries to point a finger at Juri. Juri of Avalon dodges to the side and shoots him again. Corrine clenches her fists beside herself, the ruby cabachons on the back of her palms flaring to ruddy brilliance as she gathers up pattern fire within them.... With a SCREAM, she abruptly launches Fire Pattern Flame Brillaince at Caine's location. "HADOKEN!!!" Shizumaru OOCly says, "Hadouken? x.X" Corrine OOCly says, "Corrine DOES have the Flaming Fists O'Fury!" Mikage says, "ooc btw, 'www.thekeep.org/~trunner/dreamwatch.mp3'" Bleys now charges towards Juri. Juri shoots Corwin in the eye and he goes limp. And then Caine is IMMOLATED Juri of Avalon spins and prepares to fire on Bleys if possible, or engage him with her sword if not. He runs screaming through the army, taking out two dozen more of Corrine's troops before he burns to death. And then Bleys is on Juri, driving her back in a frenetic screaming fury. Mikage flies upward, arms hanging limply by his sides. "Falme... assist me..." Corrine sighs at the gall of that man, and then focusses on Bleys's clothing.... inciting it to flame.... Meanwhile, the army of the Black Unicorn is being shattered by the Bedpirates. Falme comes to Mikage's aid. Corrine snarls under her breath... "leave my sister ALONE, ASSHOLE!" Unfortunately, it's not safe for Corrine to try to immolate Bleys while he's in hand to hand with Juri. Mercutio pages, "You should talk to Horatio some time. HIS Demi-Jewel of Fire came with a Users Manual." to you. You page, "Right. I'll be sure to drop him a note." to Mercutio. Lightning stabs down towards Bleys...then redirects and fries soldiers around him. Juri of Avalon asks, "OOC: He's in hand-to-hand? What, are we grappling, or swordfighting?" Miki says, "OOC Well, sword fighting" Corrine OOCly says, "Okay, we'll not do the fire-ignite bleys thing, then." Miki says, "OOC Corrine's warfare isn't good enough for her to do it without frying you some too" >From across the field, Juri starts to charge in Juri of Avalon asks, "OOC: Amber Juri? Huh?" Miki says, "OOC dOH" The Elder Sign glows, completed Corrine quickly evaluates where she can assist, now, given she's got her Mad DemiJewel Skillz back.. And then Deirdre, Random, Llewella, and Julian all break through the trees, comign at Shiz from three sides. >From across the field, GIDEON starts to charge down Towards the Bleys/Juri duel. Mikage says to Falme... "Uh... please, my arms..." Shizumaru edits a hole in the ground beneath him, which closes above him quickly, then leads him out a safe distance away. Gideon grins as he bedsurfs in, concentrating on Bleys. Shiz drops out of sight, leaving them behind. Shizumaru animates the trees to smack down the shadow Amberites. Juri retreats back across the grass, and Bleys follows her onto it. And then the grass turns into Demon-Roderick And swallows Bley's right leg. Corrine OOCly says, "Woohoo! Go Roderick!" High above, Falme treats Mikage Shizumaru turns on trump. Shizumaru exclaims, "GABRIELLE!" Juri of Avalon LEAPS for Bleys, sword swinging. And then Juri's sword goes through Bleys lung And his other lung and his left arm And Bleys comes apart bloodily. Hiko the Firechilde OOCLY says, "And his other lung..." Corrine OOCly says, "OWch. That hadda hurt." And then Urd erupts out of a ring Corrine is wearing and flies with wing of flame towards the Keep Gideon looks almost disappointed as Bleys comes apart and commands his bed to rise again, looking around for more trouble. Frowning slightly at something, he waves, and the bed shoots away for the keep. And then Benedict stands up Corrine yeeps at the launch of the Flamewinged Urd, and bwas. His wounds apparently gone. And he rushes towards Juri. Corrine says, "JURI!" Mikage says, "Falme... take me to Washu..." Miki says, "OOC Oh, doh, yes, Narsil" Miki says, "As John has his moment of brain death." Mikage says, "OOC Oh boy, I'm going to have a hell of a time editing this..." Corrine OOCly says, "well, it IS 2 am over here... *wl*" Corrine tries to ignite Benedict's clothes if he's not THAT close to Juri yet... And staggers, reverting to human form. He is covered with blood and spitting bits of flesh out of his mouth. And then Benedict is immolated in Pattern Flame Gideon's bed bursts into flames And he hears Fiona laughing at him. Shizumaru turns off Magic again. Corrine reacts to try and snuff the flames of the bed of Gideon. Urd acks and falls out of the sky, crashing down into the woods. Shizumaru says, "..." Mikage says, "Blood and bloody ashes..." Gideon mutters, "Oh no ... not again." Corrine OOCly says, "Whoop." Shizumaru runs toward Urd. Then Julian attacks her. To be precise, Morgenstern tramples her, then Julian puts a lance through her left side. But then Shiz charges in and drives Julian back. Benedict burns to death. Hopefully. Shizumaru turns on magic again for Urd's benefit. Corrine now sprints in and after, adding a few Pattern-Fire Crossbow bolts to Benedict's burning body. Magic clicks on Shizumaru throws handfuls of seeds at Julian. Logrus tendrils, bursts of flame, and Shizumaru's weapons all hit Julian at once. Seeds hit Julian Shizumaru OOCly says, "Brambles, kudzu, heck, even poison ivy. Things that'll bind him tightly." The Army of the Black Unicorn, now leaderless, begins to collapse under combined Bedpirate and Emberite attack. Gideon growls something less than nice about Fiona and changes, skin darkening to black as he makes his way towards the fire shadow. "I want her spleen." Corrine OOCly says, "Fiiiiinnnnnaaalllly." Gideon manages to put out his bed as he charges towards the Fire shadow. Shizumaru checks around for any other threats. Mikage collapses, nearly falling to the ground. Juri of Avalon whistles and crouches down by the toasty Benedict, examining his silver arm and fingering her Patternblade. Roderick finds a horse and says to Juri, "Well, this'll make one fancy story..." [spoofed by Akemi] Falme holds Mikage up with logrus tendrils. Corrine is doing the threat-check/wounded-check, too, keeping mindful of things. "... good fucking lord..." Julian is tied up by vines. Shizumaru OOCly says, "Where are the other Amber-Oberon elders?" Juri of Avalon says, "I owned Benedict _and_ Corwin. I'm l33t. Now I just need a souvenir..." Shizumaru cuts off Julian's head. Mikage asks, "OOC Yeah. Where's Team Rebma?" Miki says, "OOC Fiona is in the Fire Shadow. Team Rebma is somewhere inside the Keep-Forest. And Deirdre is lost in there too" Juri of Avalon cuts off Benedict's silver arm. Mikage says, "..." You page, "How is Corrine hanging in there? *wl*" to Akemi. Akemi pages, "You feel utterly like shit, but you can keep going a little..." to you. Roderick blinks at Juri. [spoofed by Akemi] Corrine says, "Well, hey, -I- weakened ... mrgh... And then, next to Urd and Shizumaru, a spinning wheel of energy appears Urd stares at it and her eyes widen. Shizumaru grabs Urd and leaps away from it. Juri of Avalon nods as she stows the arm away in a saddlebag. "That you did. Let's go help the others." She swings up onto Arisugawa. Shizumaru asks, "What is it?" You page, "Sense on that wheel of Energy if I can sense it...." to Akemi. Akemi pages, "You can't see it through the woods" to you. She grits her teeth, "Ha ha, very very funny..." at the wheel as Shizumaru pulls her away. She says to Shizumaru, "It's a trump construct. Turn Trump off." Corrine nods. "Might have to ... fsck.... hold back myself...." Shizumaru turns off trump. Corrine OOCly says, "Oh. Cute. Shadow Ghostwheel." Corrine OOCly says, "Gaby's cuter and neater, anyway." The wheel vanishes. Urd sticks out her tongue at it. "Little punk! Mess with the best, die like the Rest!" Shizumaru continues looking around for threats. Urd says, "Okay, time to finish off the rest of the family..." She points one direction. "Team Rebma at three o'clock" Corrine tries pulling herself up with Juri if possible. And Gideon plunges into Fire. Shizumaru edits that section of Shadow out of existence, per Urd's directions. Corrine, Juri, and Roderick, looking like crap, ride bloodily towards the Keep Corrine says, "... and torched some guy in green and black with crossbows..." She looks at Roderick. "... Caine, wasn't it? And that benedict's clothes." Team Rebma finds itself utterly out in the open with Shiz and Urd staring at them. Shizumaru throws mean nasty evil seeds at them. Shizumaru OOCly says, "I did decapitate Julian, right?" Miki says, "OOC He's out of it, one way or another. Can't remember" Shizumaru OOCly says, "As soon as I saw him tied up, I cut his head off." Shizumaru OOCly says, "Just to be damn sure." Lllewella and Random end up tied face to face on the ground by the seeds. Shizumaru encases them in diamond. Lightning strikes down, and diamond encases Team Rebma. They quietly pass out, possibly die. Juri of Avalon just stares at the rather mangled Corrine and tries to keep her upright. "Yes, we did very well. We have the seed. The Keep is fallen. Annadil's armies are scattered. It just took a little bit of... effort. And some pain." Fire eats at Gideon's defenses as he charges after Fiona. Shizumaru turns to Urd. "Any others?" Mikage asks, "...Where's... Brand?" The heat is agonizing, even with armor. And then Shizumaru hears movement behind him. Corrine nods, accepting Juri's support. ".. where'd Gideon go?" Gideon sets his defenses to regenerating, and shifts into a heat-resistant form, looking about for Fiona. Shizumaru edits a hole behind himself even as he dives forward. Juri of Avalon facepalms as she watches Gideon chase Fiona. "Oh, he's doing something stupid again." Brand drops down into the hole, looking confused. Corrine glances over... in the fire Shadow? The fires swallow Gideon, who vanishes. Juri of Avalon raises her crossbow and prepares to fire on Brand when next she sights him. Shizumaru fills the hole and encases Brand in diamond also. Akemi pages, "Want to use Gabby to control the fire shadow?" to you. You page, "Sounds like a good idea. Assist Gideon, Hurt Fiona, take control of the Fire Shadow." to Akemi and Mercutio. You page, "But only if this isn't hyper-overtaxing Gaby, I KNOW she's got load averages to worry about. *wl*" to Akemi and Mercutio. Mercutio pages, "Gabrielle is under the sea right now; if things look bad again, she'll help, or if Corrine INSISTS, but you don't want to distract her from Hiko and Compan." to you and Akemi. You page, "Righto." to Mercutio. You page, "Righto. Corrine defers on that for the moment. Gideon's on his own." to Akemi and Mercutio. Mikage exclaims, "Brand! You son of a bitch!" He breaks free from Falme's support and calls Brand out. "You tried to take advantage of my condition, bastard!" Corrine readies her own crossbow. And then HRMS, Shizumaru OOCly says, "Hmm, there's still Deirdre." Brand, now buried and encased in Diamond, doesn't talk much. Mikage flies towards where Brand is. "Let's see how strong your mind is when you can't breathe." And then Brand is behind Shizumaru, his hands on Shizumaru's forehead. Juri of Avalon fires on Brand. Shizumaru OOCly says, "Aww, crap." Corrine fires on Brand with Fire Patterny Goodness. Fire Patterny Crossbow Goodness, that is. And from over a mile away, a crossbow bolt erupts. Mikage asks, "He's a living trump, or did you forget, cousin?" Shizumaru OOCly says, "Er, I turned off trump." Miki says, "OOC Color him Exalted Flawed Pattern with a Flawed JoJ :)" Shizumaru OOCly says, "And the psyche-null barrier should give me at least a moment before he breaks through." Miki says, "OOC Yes, you do have a moment while he munches it." Fire Patterny Crossbow Goodness and Elder Sign Goodness rush towards Brand and... Mikage says, "OOC Wow, this is tough without arms." Mikage is dropping down from above. Shizumaru decides that a stone suddenly erupts beneath him, and sends him flying into the air, away from Brand's hands. Gideon searches for Fiona amidst the flames, trying to find her before he melts. And then Wasyuu grits her teeth and the flames all go out. Gideon grins darkly as the flames go out, and looks about for Fiona. Fiona swears loudly Unfortunately, Brand has enough power to negate Shiz's pattern molding and eat Shiz's brain Mikage says to Brand from behind... "Boo." Shizumaru OOCly says, "Oh, crap." Corrine OOCly says, "Oh hell." Juri of Avalon asks, "OOC: Yeah, but can he do that when he's got a crossbow bolt through his bloody head?" Corrine OOCly says, "Unless he manages to die RIGHT after, I suppose." But he doesn't have enough power to avoid Urd sticking a flaming sword through his lung, Juri shooting him in the lower spine, and flaming tree bits falling on him. Corrine OOCly says, "What about the Fire Pattern Crossbow Bolts? :)" Juri of Avalon exclaims, "OOC: Whoo! Die _again_, Brand!" Miki says, "OOC At that range, you missed, Corrine" Corrine OOCly says, "Feh. Need to buy up warfare, clearly. *sigh*" Mikage says, "OOC Yeah. Juri of Avalon says, "OOC: Let's burn Brand, then make a special machine to burn things that are already burned, then burn the machine." Unseen, Deirdre quietly runs and leaps into the ocean. Shizumaru says, "...help...." Juri of Avalon searches about for Fiona, crossbow raised. Gideon mutters and looks around. Urd kneels by Shizumaru and kisses his forehead. Corrine watches about as well, frowning. Corrine OOCly says, "Urd. The Braiiiiiiin Doctor." Mikage says, "OOC I'd help, but I can't even reach my hand out to touch Shiz." And then silence settles over the field as the last of the army of the Black Unicorn surrenders. Shizumaru stands up, swaying slightly. "All your Keep are belong to ME," he mumbles. Corrine says, "..." Urd helps Shizumaru up, smiling confidently. Mikage says, "OOC ..." Corrine OOCly says, "well, I think that settles THAT." Shizumaru OOCly says, "I was waiting for that. Oh, was I waiting for that." And the Golden Tree begins to shine. Juri of Avalon nods as she rides up. "For great justice, Shizumaru." Akemi pages, "No sign of Fiona" to you and Chris. Corrine looks up at the nice Golden Tree, and quietly boggles. She then shakes her head. Roderick salutes you with his new Flawed Pattern Blade. "We are triumphant. And my BRAIN hurts." [spoofed by Akemi] Shizumaru says, "...I can turn time faster here, so that we can rest for a week in an Amber hour. But someone must make sure the Elder Seal does not break while we are here." Corrine says, ".... no sign of Fiona, Juri." Mikage says, "Not to be a burden, cousin, but could I have these arms treated before we return to Amber? I won't be of much use like this." Corrine -looks- at Shizumaru. "-you- have control now?" Juri of Avalon says, "Ran away in the face of our mad skillz, clearly." Gideon curses as he heads for the others. "She will be mine. Oh yes, she will be mine." Urd says, "Man, my sisters won't believe this..." Shizumaru nods slowly, pointing at the tree. "I own this place. It is my domain, now. So long as the Outsiders are kept out." Corrine says, "... i'd suggest shoving the gradient even higher... I lost track of what the gradients were doing." Shizumaru nods. "A year will pass in an Amber eyeblink, then." Corrine says, "Give us time to recoup, regather what remains of our forces, HEAL, and reinforce the place." Juri of Avalon gets down off her horse and goes briskly over to Mikage. "Lie down. Let me see those arms. What did you do, try and wrestle Gerard?" Urd turns to Mikage. "Let me help you." Juri of Avalon glances at Urd and smiles. "We could work on him together, Urd-san..." She sees Juri is going to work and backs off. Corrine decides sitting in the horse saddle is a good thing. Mikage says, "Thank you..." Urd says, "Oh, I'm sure you can handle it okay." She sweats. Mikage says, "Yes, I did." Corrine manages a dry chuckle, and coughs. ". i feel like shit." Roderick says, "Me too." He looks down at his missing foot. [spoofed by Akemi] Mikage says, "Try to wrestle Gerard, I mean..." He smiles. "Shiz needed the opportunity." Shizumaru coughs. "Again...please, somebody watch over the Elder Seal, and make sure it remains strong." Gideon looks around and shakes his head. "Is missing body parts the new fashion or soemthing?" Juri of Avalon nods. "Well, you're right, Urd-san. He's not very big. Why don't you give some attention to Corrine? She looks like she could use it." She tsks and begins splinting Mikage's arms. Corrine nods, slowly. "... how did you reinforce it? How -can- we reinforce it?" Urd says, "I will watch over it, Shizumaru." She goes over to where you sealed it and begins to concentrate, fire dancing about her in a whirlwind. Corrine murghs, tapping up where she HAD an ear.... Mikage says, "Thank you, Juri." Shizumaru looks at the tree again. "That gives me control over this Shadow. I molded it into having an empowered Elder Seal." Corrine says, "... you... we hold the Keep. fucking hot damn." Shizumaru says, "So long as the Elder Seal remains strong, the Outsiders cannot reach in here." Shizumaru clenches his fist. "This place is mine." Juri of Avalon just shakes her head. "I've got experience patching up victims of Gerard from Gideon." Corrine then blinks. "Azaka! Kamidake! Shit, I lost track of them and the others during everything!" Gideon whistles at Urd, then takes a second to glare at Juri. Mikage smiles. "Ah... I see..." Corrine says, "... and long may your rule be long, wise, and sure, Shizumaru." Juri of Avalon smiles sweetly back at Gideon. "Is there any way we could make the seal permanent?" Shizumaru sits down slowly, sighing. "I hope it does." Mikage says, "Well, it's a whole lot livelier than Nemuro Hall, I can tell you that much." Gideon wanders over to Urd to see what she is doing. Wasyuu flies down on a bed and lands by Mikage. Wasyuu says, "Ahh, I see I have a patient." Juri of Avalon says, "Don't worry, Shiz. You're l33t. Your mad skillz will ensure a just reign." Mikage says, "Say, doctor, I have a couple of limbs for you to fix." Juri of Avalon rubs her forehead, where there's a large lump from Benedict's staff. "I think I need an icepack." Other than the obvious missing foot, and all." She glances to Corrine. "Yes, Corrine, you too are l33t." Shizumaru meanwhile tries to edit in a healing potion nearby. Shizumaru OOCly says, "Or several, if possible." Blink, a bottle appears by Shiz Corrine blushes, and smiles. "... thanks... just... good unicorn we fucking did it." Mikage breathes a sigh, and closes his eyes... Several appear Urd says, "I don't know, but the Elder Sign needs all five elements to work properly." Shizumaru picks up one, and studies it carefully. He turns to people with magic. "What will this thing do if I drink it?" Mikage asks, "...when was the start of all of this...?" She continues, "And well...this site is ideal for that." Gideon asks, "How many can you provide, for now?" Juri of Avalon asks, "Could we draw power from all five areas of the Keep to empower it?" Wasyuu glances at the bottle. "It will heal you and grow you a very healthy beard." Mikage says, "...when did the cogs of time begin to turn...?" Shizumaru edits out the beard-growing ability. Urd says to Juri, "My thoughts exactly, Juri." Corrine says, "somebody say something 'bout elements?... somebody need some Patterny Fire? After I stop bleeding and stuff?" Wasyuu leaves Mikage to heal and goes to work on slashed to bits Corrine. Mikage says, "Air... I could provide..." He breathes one last sigh and falls asleep. Shizumaru says, "If anyone needs healing...." He shrugs, and drinks the potion carefully. Corrine accepts the good Dr's ministrations. "... so, what's the story w' you and gid, huh? nice save, there....." Wasyuu says, "He's a very wonderful man. I'll have to introduce you to our child, Lian." Juri of Avalon looks thoughtful. "I really should study some Sorcery. It could be useful. My usual method of stabbing problems until they stop moving doesn't always work as well as it did today." Roderick says, "You beat Benedict and Corwin. I'm in awe." [spoofed by Akemi] Juri of Avalon STARES at Wasyuu, then at Gideon. "Gideon..." Corrine blinks. "... child?" Corrine says, "... you've got a KID?? You've BREEDED????" He says, "And I nearly died at Dad's hands." He shudders. "But I didn't." Wasyuu frowns at Corrine. "You want salt in your wounds, Corrine?" Juri of Avalon blushes a little. "Well, they were only shadows. I don't think I could handle the real ones." Then she puts her arm around Roderick, gently. "It wasn't your father. It just looked like him." He puts an arm around Juri and sags against her. "He tasted awful, too." Corrine hehs, looking wry at Juri... "... dunno if that's my schitck... power words might help, tho...." She then winces at Wasyuu. "gomen, gomen, gomen, Wasyuu-sensei." Urd continues working Gideon mostly ignores what is going on behind him, watching Urd work. Juri of Avalon glances at Gideon. "So, can I have my toys back if I promise not to tell your wife about this?" Shizumaru sighs, and puts down the bottle. Then he pulls out Rimumruru's trump, looks around warily, and tries it. Corrine says, "I'm sure she's a wonderful child, I'd love to meet her." She manages a slight, wry, smile. Mikage has a small smile on his face as he sleeps... Wasyuu says, "Well, she's too young to travel much yet, but soon, I hope." She expertly treats Corrine. Corrine nods. "... want onna my own... gaby's my first, y'knw, but wanna...." Rimururu does not answer. Probably too busy saving her Kami to take calls. Shizumaru looks disappointed, and puts the trump away. Urd asks Gideon, "do you have the Eye of Water handy?" Corrine is starting to get into that nice post-battle adrenalin flushout and recovery stage. Please excuse all babbling. Mikage mumbles, "... wyn ... " Gabrielle , far away under the sea, sneezes. Gideon nods, "One of them, at least. Need some water power?" He holds out his left hand, which begins to shimmer and turn to water, and in short order the eye of water swims into it. Shizumaru then looks around, and starts walking. "...my friends lay down on beds of grass...." and soft grass springs up all around. "...roses scent my footsteps in peace...." And they do. Urd says, "Can you link the ocean into this? I'm not good with Water." Gideon hms, "Let me see ... " Urd smiles at the transformation of the land as she continues her work. Shizumaru advances toward the Seal, holding the slightly charred Seed in his hands. Juri of Avalon is looking tired and battered, but quite happy with the way things turned out. She ambles over to her horse with Rod and pulls out Benedict's arm. "I think I'll mount this on the hood of my car." Gideon holds up the eye and looks into it. The black ash falls away and the seed is now unhurt under it. Corrine looks at Juri dubiously. "... damn fucking ugly hood ornament, Juri." Roderick LAUGHS. "How about putting it where it could adjust the stereo for you and hold drinks?" [spoofed by Akemi] Shizumaru stretches his hand forth, and tries to add more Wood energy to the Seal. Shizumaru works, adding energy and weaving the nearby forest into the seal to help sustain it. [spoofed by Akemi] Juri of Avalon says, "On the dashboard? Good idea. I should be able to find some use for it." Corrine considers. Roderick nods. "I often wish I had something like that when driving." [spoofed by Akemi] Corrine says, "that silver rose armor that Corwin had. somebody should try and grab it." Corrine smiles, wanly. "I like silver roses. Whenever I go up to rose duel, Anthy gives me one." When that is done, Shizumaru looks toward the golden tree, just to check on its state. Wasyuu finishes. "You should pass out to heal in about five minutes, Corrine." She then moves on to other injured people. Juri of Avalon considers. "I should have taken his Patternblade. It would be nice to have another." Juri of Avalon beams. "Who wants to ride back with me and loot the bodies of our foes?" Mikage would've, but he's out cold. Roderick laughs. "I'll go with you." [spoofed by Akemi] Corrine says, ".... gonna have to pass on that...." She smiles slightly. "careful with those wacky... blades.... go night night now." Shizumaru finally turns to Urd. "Fire. Wood. Wind. What of Water and Metal?" Gideon shakes his head at Juri's words, too busy with trying to tie Water into the seal to comment. Juri of Avalon pulls Rod up behind her on her horse and rides off to pick through the spoils of the fallen. Shizumaru OOCly says, "Give me something nifty! o.o" Corrine does the passing out thing, under guard by SOMEBODY. Urd says, "Gideon is connecting this to the Ocean over there. I am going to try to connect this to the Metal shadow. Unfortunately, I can only build magic conduits, but as long as you don't turn Magic off, that'll be fine." Corrine would comment to be sure to check for any traps or nasties in items, and for regathering the troops, etc... but she's nice and unconcious and healing, now. Gideon glances up, "I'll see about reinforcing it with a trump conduit when you're done." Shizumaru hands Urd a trump of Shaft. "This is my brother, Ota-niisan. He is the Child of Metal. We may be able to call on his help." Urd says, "Ahh, good idea." Shizumaru OOCly says, "And Shaft's not busy with Leviathan, soo..... :)" Corrine OOCly says, "Shaft, he is drafted." Corrine OOCly says, "And with Urd making the call, would he turn it away? Nooooo. :)" Juri of Avalon strips the bodies of the Elders of their nifty goodies and drags them back for everyone to pick through. Righto. Rod and Juri will be busy with looting for a while. Corrine quietly passes out. Shizumaru finally turns around. "And now...I shall sleep." Then collapses in a limp heap, Seed of Hope in his arms tightly. Corrine was -already- passed out, but I think with all this, with our PC and near-PC principles nicely asleep and the shadows and Keep fast-timed, we can finall call it quits on the day's battle? Shizumaru OOCly says, "Heh." Shaft gets trumped by Urd. Shaft is down at Bill Vincent's. Bill's ALMOST made the break throught, but most of the time the powder doesn't fire. Shaft says to Urd, "Baby, where was you when I was single?! Mmm-mm!" She grins. "I'm here with my husband, your cousin Shizumaru. But I need _Your_ help with a little project." Shaft prances around. Miki says, "OOC And we can cut here, as Urd can easily finish reinforcing the seal." Shizumaru OOCly says, "I was almost giving up hope at times, but man, I did good."
