Ish's Private Power-Grab Log

	Ishmael, accompanied by Morrigan and Battleaxe, went to 
Tir Na Nog to get the Air Jewel. Entering the ghostly city, he 
found that the location of the Air Jewel was moving. Mounting 
Battleaxe, who shifted into a winged form, he quickly pursued 
it.

	The Air Jewel's reading moved into a palace. Ish swooped 
down towards it, only to see that a dark figure on a bat was 
doing the same... and had a jewellike object on a stick, pointing 
at him. Ish fired a blast from the Patternlaser at him; it was 
met by a beam from the stick Jewel. Pulling out a crossbow 
and firing, Ish was hit by a bullet from his opponent, and both 
fell from their mounts.

	Battered but somewhat cushioned by his armor, Ish fried 
the circling bat with a patternlaser blast and proceeded into 
the palace. He worked his way through a series of halls and 
tunnels until he found a shaft. The dark figure appeared at the 
other end of it, and both fired - Ish lost the front of his armor, 
but the dark figure was blasted to bits. Taking his stick-jewel, 
Ish proceeded along.

	Finally he reached a strange, four-mirrored chamber. 
Entering it, he saw four thrones, with the Air Jewel on a 
pedestal in the middle. Upon on of the thrones, facing him, was 
a woman who identified herself as Sand.

	They talked for a time, verbally sparring a bit. Ishmael 
gained a bit of information on the various Finndo-spawn, and 
on the Palantirs. Sand refused to let him take the Air Jewel, 
and Ishmael acceeded to this - but warned her that some day 
he would have it.

	They parted amiably, Ish tossing her a trump of himself. 
Sand suggested in parting that he tour the Pattern Room of Tir 
Na Nog. 

	He did. Inside, he found Osric - the Osric of this universe 
- guiding King John through walking the Pattern.

	As John finished, Ishmael applauded.

	Osric whirled, startled, a spell of destruction forming on 
his tongue, and Ishmael trumped out to Amber.

	Surprising Otho in the garden, he ran into the castle, 
almost knocking over Bleys (and Bleys' 6-foot-long sandwich). 
Dashing into Random's chambers, Ish informed him of what had 
happened. He then realized that he had forgotten Morrigan and 
Battleaxe.

	The entire family (save Corwin and Benedict) assembled, 
and trumped to Tir Na Nog. Morrigan and Battleaxe were 
battered but alive; but Osric and John had escaped. The residue 
of a JoJlike device's use were found about the site.

	A family conference was held. Afterwards, Ishmael asked 
Random if he could borrow the 'replica of the JoJ' in the vaults 
for a 'religious ceremony'. Random agreed. Unfortunately for 
Ishmael, it turned out not to be the Earth Jewel at all, but 
something entirely different.

	Puzzled and dismayed, Ish trumped to Tybalt, Lord of 
Hendrake, and filled him in on the current situation. He then 
visited Suhuy, and learned that the gem from the vaults was 
somehow linked to the Logrus. He further learned that while 
the Palantir's link to the master Palantir had been severed, 
Suhuy was hoping to relink it to the Logrus.

	The Jewel on a stick turned out to be a Tir Na Nog copy of 
the Fire Jewel.

	Trumping to Dworkin, Ish discovered that the vault Jewel 
was actually the eye of a shapeshift copy of the serpent. If he 
attuned himself to it, he could use it to manipulate the Logrus.

	Further discussion convinced him that Osric had the 
Earth Jewel. This put the presumed Jewelholders as:

	Earth - Osric

	Air - Sand

	Water - Moire or Llewella

	Fire - Ishmael

	Of the four, Ishmael was the only one to lack an intact 
Pattern. Which was needed to gain full mastery of the jewel.

	Ish decided that since no intact Pattern existed, he'd just 
have to remedy that.

	Trumping with Dworkin to the site of a Broken Pattern of 
fire, he walked and repaired it. Then, reaching the center, he 
passed out.
