===================================== ===================================== You wake up in bed with Lily, who is still sleeping. Beowulf smiles, and rubs her shoulders gently. ====== ====== Jacqueline OOCly wolf-whistles ======= ======= She makes little happy noises in her sleep. Very faintly, through the wall, you can hear a fair number of people talking; sounds like Mitsune has guests. Beowulf raises his eyebrows a bit, then looks around the room. Clothing around? And anything he could use to make breakfest in bed for Lily? :) You could always hop in the bag, order a breakfast, have it delivered, and bring it out. But Lily doesn't keep cooking stuff/food in her room. Your clothing is here, though. Beowulf grins, slides carefully out of bed to get dressed, then hops in the bag to get breakfast for her, fast-timing so he can pop out a moment later. The smell of breakfast wakes her up. She yawns and sits up and smiles. "How thoughtful," she says. "Can you hand me a shirt?" ======= ======= Chris says, "Oh my ... Bey been busy last night, Travis? ;)" The Prof says, "Well, she did carry him off when he was about to fall over from stress exhaustion, so... ^_^" You page, "And so far, anyway, this is nothing compared to how Kanna woke up. :)" to Chris. Chris pages, "Oh my ... how did she wake up? o.o" to you. You page, "Adrift on the open sea with Ruka, apparently, with whales closing in for the attack. o.o" to Chris. Chris pages, "..." to you. You page, "Yep. I'm wondering what provoked *that*. o.o" to Chris. Chris pages, "I'll want to see the log of that." to you. You page, "Uh-huh. I think John's still running her in Arden, so..." to Chris. ======= ======= Beowulf grins again, and reaches into the bag to pull out a *very* modest terrycloth bathrobe. After giving it to her, he tousles her hair, chuckles and hands her one of her regular shirts. She laughs and puts it on, then digs into the food. Between bites, she says, "Well, dinner was a disaster, but the dancing was fun." Beowulf shakes his head ruefully. "Dinner was a major disaster. But I very much enjoyed dancing with you." She says, "And I with you." She eats some more. "Saionji didn't pinch my butt this time. He must be afraid of you." She laughs. "And i was glad to see your mother had a date." Beowulf says, "Saionji... afraid of me?" He blinks. "That would be strange. I'm not sure why anyone would be." He looks off into space for a moment, then looks back into her eyes and smiles. "I'm glad he didn't pinch your butt, though. And I am glad to see Mother having some fun with someone, for a change." Lily says, "I'm surprised Duke Dalt asked her, or her, him, but she seemed to have a lot of fun. Queen Coral won't be happy her ambassador was your mother's date, though." She sighs. "Your brother was in much better form than usual, I noticed." Beowulf says, "It may cause trouble, I suppose... but at least Duke Dalt knows the amount of effort she's gone to to help Kashfa." He smiles. "Kentaro was on his best behavior, wasn't he? Perhaps I should try to see that he goes out with Nausicaa more often." Lily says, "I have the impression it was the sort of bond built of shared adversity. From what I got out of Keitaro, they accidentally destroyed Taylor's tower, somehow angering Gabrielle in the process, so she buried them in hot, fresh pies." Beowulf says, "I heard something about that, yes. Something about dumping an Outsider into the sun, without realizing that it would be dumped right into Ember?" He shakes his head. "I'd be laughing if Outsiders weren't such a serious matter; still, it looks like Ember wasn't seriously hurt. And I have to admire Gabrielle's sense of proportion." He smiles. Beowulf asks, "Speaking of Keitaro... did I hear him say last night that he was going after a group of Egyptian cults?" Lily continues eating breakfast. "He's going to investigate a pyramid he thinks might have a connection to the spikard and the Herald candidate mentioned in the Black Heart Prophecy. It's part of an 'empire ruling the sands'." Beowulf takes a slice or two of bacon. "Hmmm. I wonder if that's the same group of people who attacked Kanna and I on the zeppelin, 'waay back when all the recent trouble started blowing up?" Beowulf says, "I still owe them something for attacking us like that; and if that is one of the Heralds, they need to be taken out as quickly as possible." Lily says, "It could be, though with infinite shadow, there's always infinite false leads, unfortunately." Beowulf nods. "Yes. I was wondering about that... didn't he say that he was looking at the Nythian empire? The lunatics who attacked us said they were from the New Nile Empire." He smiles. "Though we did manage to get a construct manifestation from them, which we can hopefully use to track them; the Master was planning on doing that to discover the Black Crown construct, after all." He hmmms. "Though I'm not sure how he'd do that; are you familiar with the techniques?" Lily says, "Well, if a manifestation is active, tracing the link through shadow is quite easy to do if you can shadow travel at all. Tracing a turned off manifestaiton, on the other hand...I can't think of how other than 'shadow of desire'." Beowulf asks, "Hmmm, well. True. I suspect they've probably cut off the manifestation we captured, though we'll have to check with Nanami to be sure. Did Keitaro mention how he was going to head out there?" "I think Naru is going with him, so Naru will probably use Pattern to get there." Beowulf nods. "That would work, as long as they pick the right target." Beowulf hmms. "I'll have to go talk to him, then. If he is going after another Herald-candidate, I definitely want to help out, if he doesn't mind me tagging along with him. Especially if it's the same folks who were after me." Beowulf asks, "Also... you mentioned last night that Ashante was being invaded by sea... by people with working cannon?" Lily nods. "I'm sure that he would appreciate our help. Oh yes, a kingdom named Galicia has started raiding Ashante, apparently to collect slaves." Beowulf says, "Galicia... hmmm." ===== ===== You page, "Name sound familiar at all?" to Akemi. Akemi pages, "The Galicia you know is a major space empire centered around a Broken Pattern. Unlikely to be the same. The name also vaguely registers as the name of two regions in Europe back in Lucas. One of them is the part of Spain which is directly north of Portugal. The other is in southwestern Poland." to you. ===== ===== Beowulf looks puzzled. "The only Galicias I know are a spacefaring empire based around a Broken Pattern, and a couple of areas in Lucas, where I grew up -- both in Lucas' equivalent of Shadow Earth's Europe." Lily says, "I believe Admiral Saionji and Marshal Tsuwabuki will be working together to deal with this." ===== ===== You page, "Speaking of Lucas, if this Egyptian community does turn out to be like the TORG Nile, I know where I'm probalby going to go for allies. ^_^" to Akemi. Akemi pages, "HEH!" to you. You page, "I mean, think of it -- TORG Nile is a pulp empire, but Lucas almost has to be the king of the Pulp societies. ^_^" to Akemi. You page, "And it's the old Home Town, which should help when recruiting. ^_^" to Akemi. Akemi pages, "Heh. Yep." to you. ===== ===== Beowulf nods. "I'm not sure if I can help, but I'd at least like to look over their information." ===== ===== You page, "Hmm, from what I've seen of them, how would I gauge Saionji and Tsuwabuki's military abilites, compared to mine? I'd have expected them to be higher, given their official positions, but if you said I could help... o.o" to Akemi. You page, "One thing I might be able to help with, though, would be the villagers I helped out during the first Key quest; once I know more about the situation, I want to do a WF analysis to see if they can help." to Akemi. Akemi pages, "You would say that you are better in warfare. Not vastly better, but better somewhat." to you. You page, "Huh. o.o Surprise, surprise." to Akemi. Akemi pages, "Saionji, on the other hand, could beat you in unarmed combat while he was tied up into a ball and you were free to roam loose. :)" to you. You page, "Heh. Massive Strength advantage. :)" to Akemi. ===== ===== Beowulf nods. "I would like to talk to them, then; at the very least, I could put them in touch with those villagers we helped, if that could help the situation." Lily says, "Well, they were a long ways from the coast, I think. But native guides never hurt." ===== ===== Akemi pages, "Less so now than when you had 5 strength, but... :)" to you. ===== ===== Beowulf nods. "I'd have to see the situation to see if they could be of help... at the very least, though, we might be able to keep them from attacking the costal people when they're under attack from these Galicians." Lily's eyes widen. "Good point, given the tribes of the interior and the Ashante are on bad terms." Beowulf smiles. "Who knows, it may be that this attack will help wake up the costal folk, and get them out of the rut they were in. Would be nice if this had a silver lining." She nods. Beowulf hmms. "Anyway, we should probably rejoin the outside world... it sounds like the others are up." He winks. "Unless you want to lie around and be lazy all day?" She says, "Time to rise and shine." She wanders to her wardrobe and begins looking for something to wear. Beowulf politely averts his eyes and looks at some of the other things in the room, even if there's not much there that he hasn't seen before. :) She gets dressed. "Okay, where to, honey?" Beowulf says, "Let's talk with your mother first; I'd quickly like to mention the museum idea to her, and see if she has any suggestions on Ashante before we talk to Tsuwabuki." ========== ========== Beowulf says, "OOC This might be a good spot to insert the Beo/Jacqui conversation." John says, "OOC Okay, head into Skippy, Beo, as you're about to run into Moriya." Beowulf OOCly nods. In The Belly of the Beast You're inside a Logrus Squid! Beowulf OOCly waves. Moriya OOCly says, "Hoyhoy." ========== ========== As you wait for someone to answer, Beowulf and Lily emerge into the hallway from Lily's room. Moriya and Mitsune are in front of Yumi and Travis' room. Moriya's fist is raised in mid-knock. He blinks. "Er. Hello, Uncle Beowulf...Lily-san." Beowulf says, "Ah, hello, Moriya. Mitsune." He grins. "And what are you up to this fine morning?" He cocks an eyebrow at Mitsune, hoping she managed to have some fun. ^_^ Mitsune says, "Making out so hard we fell off the chair." She grins. Beowulf laughs and shakes his head. "I see." Moriya sweats. "No, we started making out after we fell off the...er...we were tickling each other...." He pauses. "Let's just leave it at that." Beowulf smiles. "Right." It's obvious by this point that Lily has had some definite success in training him. Lily just grins. Moriya says, "A ha. A ha ha ha." Yumi opens the door, looking fresh and lovely as usual. "Oh my, my entire family has come to see me." She smiles. "Come in, come in everyone." Beowulf says, "Tickling is fun." He grins at Lily. "Though we haven't had any convenient lakes to practice in lately." Moriya nods, smiling. "Good morning, Yumi-dono," he says, stepping in after Mitsune. Yumi raises an eyebrow at that. Beowulf smiles, bows to Yumi, and goes in with Lily. Moriya . o O ( ...shan't ask. ) Travis is already eating cinnamon rolls and drinking milk at the parlor table. He waves hello, as his mouth is too full to say hello. Beowulf says, "Well, it was when we were swimming in the Inverted Lake in Talislanta." He chuckles ruefully. "Of course, our things got stolen just after that, but..." Moriya says, "Good morning, Sensei." Beowulf bows to Travis. "Good morning, Travis. How've things been going?" Travis pulls out chairs for everyone, then sits. "Cinnamon rolls, anyone?" Beowulf smiles in thanks and takes one. Moriya sits. "Thank you, I'll take one." Moriya leans close to Mitsune and whispers something to her. Beowulf whispers to Moriya when he's done with Mitsune: "If you ever go swimming with her... watch out if she turns into a fish." Travis passes you both cinnamon rolls. "Good morning. Did you all enjoy the dance last night?" Moriya blinks slowly. "Ah...all right." Moriya smiles a little wryly. "Well...by the time the dancing came around, yes. Not so much what happened before that, though." Beowulf says, "The dance, yes; I'm afraid Lily kept me from my usual hold-up-the-wall behavior." He grins, then quickly sobers up. "The dinner before, however... was not pleasant." Yumi says, "We haven't a breach that bad since the time Saionji got drunk and asked Juri if she was the Queen of Holland." Yumi frowns in distaste. "Although I suppose none of you have any idea what I'm talking about, as I don't think any of you were born yet." Beowulf sighs and shakes his head. "I'm afraid not, though perhaps that's just as well." Moriya's brow wrinkles. "Considering Aunt Juri vanished well before my birth, no...although, I'm wondering what Saionji meant." He pauses. "I suppose I shouldn't think too deeply on it." Lily looks puzzled. Mitsune blinks. "Ho...oh. I suppose he went on to make a joke about dikes." Beowulf says, "Sometimes it's best to forgive and forget past offences, after you've learned the appropriate lessons from them." Yumi nods. "Saionji and Juri never got along sober." Beowulf winces at Mitsune's comments. "Oh, dear." Moriya sighs. "Ah. I was a little happier not having made the connection, but.... Oh well. Thank you, Mitsune." He pokes her playfully in the side. Beowulf asks, "Based on past experiences... how bad do you think the reprecussions from this one will be?" Moriya is quiet, for a while. "Uncle Lucien is going to have a hard time getting support from the family, that's for certain. Although maybe he just doesn't want it." Beowulf says, "Nausicaa made a very good point about wanting to keep him in the family, so he doesn't feel alienated and pull another Derith... unfortunately, he's making that difficult." Yumi says, "Well, Nagisa is not the type to hold a grudge, but Lucien had best avoid fire for quite a while. And if he wanted to keep even the Rebman branch of the family from helping him, that was almost, though not quite the best way to go about it." Beowulf asks, "Ah, Gabrielle." He sighs. "I'll see if Aeris might be able to take her mind off of him." He pats the badge. "You'd help keep her company, sweetie?" Aeris says, "Auntie Gabrielle is lots of fun!" Moriya chuckles softly. Beowulf grins. "Yes, she is, Aeris." Beowulf says, "As far as Rebman support..." He sighs. "I really wonder where Lucien learned to think that striding in from out of nowhere, and demanding rights you feel are owed you, without talking to people first, is the way to go about things." Yumi says, "From what I have seen of him, Lucien normally does not act in that manner, but he does seem to have an easily aroused sense of honor, as one might expect from a knight." She sighs. "A sense of honor has led to many a tragedy." Beowulf sighs. "I suppose it depends on the ends to which you direct that honor." Moriya shakes his head. "All I know is that he got Uncle Nagisa, of all people--one of the most relaxed, amiable members of the family--angry enough to participate in a shouting match in the middle of dinner on Marching, meant to be a tribute to Uncle Ota." Moriya says, "This counts as some strong points against him, in my view. He seemed like a nice enough man when I spoke to him at first, but that was...." He purses his lips. "I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, but it's very difficult." Beowulf looks heavenward. "Indeed. He reminds me a lot of Kentaro... though Kentaro has mellowed of late, which may be a good sign. Perhaps Lucien's going out with Nausicaa will work the same magic on him." He smiles. Yumi says, "He hit Nagisa where it hurts. But from what I gather, he seemed to have gotten the impression that Nagisa was basically bragging to him about how impressive and famous he was. Given the burdens Lucien's father has laid on him, I fear he is trying to hide doubts about his own ability to perform them and so..." She sighs. Beowulf chuckles ruefully. "I can understand having doubts in your abilities." Moriya scratches his head. "But...this is Uncle Nagisa. Boastful? Him? It just doesn't quite fit." He sighs. "Damn." She says, "And Nagisa may himself, have been feeling a little frustrated that Lucien recovered the Water Jewel so easily." Beowulf raises an eyebrow. "I'm not too surprised at that, given how Derith was supposed to have sealed it away exclusively for his son's use." He sighs. "In any event, he and Nausicaa were supposed to be heading out this morning to recover his father's Patternblade, and we can hope that things will have cooled down by the time he returns." Moriya mutters darkly, then says, "Well, we'll have to see what happens. Motoko, Davros, and I...we may become involved in his problems, since one of the prophecied opponents of the Bride seems to match the Rebmaquois. Shark is said to have a blade like the night sky, and...such a thing is mentioned in the Red Book of Malin. The book foretelling the coming of the Bride." Beowulf blinks. "I don't think I'd heard that one yet, Moriya. What else was in there?" Beowulf asks, "Oh, and speaking of prophecies, have you seen the annotated Black Heart prophecies that Nausicaa brougth back from Leng yet?" Yumi says, "I certainly hope so." She turns to Moriya. "Ahh, yes, the Bride of the Dragon. I need to speak with Motoko about that." Travis says, "I've been helping her and Keitaro and Naru study them." Moriya shakes his head. "I haven't really had much of a chance to study them myself, but you can get a copy of the Red Book from Davros-san, I'm sure. And Motoko's been looking at the parts relevant to herself, so yes--you might want to speak with her about them." Moriya says, "As for the annotated prophecies...no, not as of yet. I suppose I should get myself a copy of them before I depart." Beowulf nods. "I'd like to see that." He turns to whisper something to Lily. ===== ===== Aerianne pages, "*GC* (Apparently humility gets da chicks. "Thank you, Yumi-dono. I appreciate it." Beowulf looks nervously at Travis. "Um... something that my mother thought of, and apparently Jacqui heard independently from the Unicorn. Both of them think I'm the Unicorn's Heir." Moriya blinks. "Oh? That's interesting." Beowulf says, "I suppose, when you look at the wording, it does fit, somewhat..." He points to the sections about seeking knowledge, and rejecting the Lore. "Assuming it's talking about Outsider Lore, damn stright I'm going to reject it." Moriya nods. "As we would expect of you, Uncle." Beowulf says, "And the bit about a swift blade... well, I am fairly good with weapons, though it really should have said a quick whip." He grins wryly. "I suppose even prophecy writers can't be infallible." He thinks back to some of the things mentioned. "And thank goodness for that." Moriya chuckles. "Well. Hm. I wonder if I'm any one of the figures in here." Beowulf looks uncomfortable. "Even if the Unicorn says so, though... I'm still not sure I believe it. And if it's true... well, Motoko would probably agree that being a figure in a prophecy is a very unnerving feeling." Moriya nods slowly. "She...it weighs on her, yes." Beowulf says, "Did... your talk with the Serpent help? I admit, I'm very tempted to go talk to the Unicorn myself, to try and sort out my own thoughts." Yumi nods. "Indeed, it is." She shakes her head and has another cinnamon roll, then says, "The strange thing about this prophecy, though, that is that after talking about the Unicorn's Heir, the Cub, and the Heir of the Lion...they don't actually really show up much again, nor do they seem particularly prophesied to do anything." Moriya says, "It did...somewhat. Although, of course, there were always more questions to be asked, but...not all of them are to be so easily answered, I guess." Moriya blinks. "You have a point." Beowulf nods. "Except at the end, where the Heir and the Cub are mentioned as being rivals to the Lion's Heir." Travis nods. "Along with various others, yes." Beowulf says, "I believe the Keeper of the Keys was the Malareux fellow you ran into, Moriya." Moriya looks at the prophecy briefly. "Mmm. Yes, that seems to fit. Yog Sothoth being the Key and the Gate." ====== ====== Moriya OOCly says, "Malraux, by the way. :)" Beowulf says, "OOC I never could remember names. ^_^" ====== ====== Beowulf says, "And 'Spreads his faith with lies.'" Moriya nods. "His twisted religion." Beowulf asks, "The White Queen... I'm wondering if that was the woman Lian ran into out in Shadow, when she took on the Heart of Ice construct, to get her Silmaril?" ============ ============ Moriya OOCly says, "Can we skip over discussing prophecies? n.n; I'm not like Phil, sadly, who could do this all day and night." Beowulf OOCly says, "All right, though I would like to get Travis and Yumi's take on them; perhaps later, John?" OOC We can do that later, as you don't need Moriya for that. Beowulf OOCly nods. Moriya OOCly says, "In that case...hm." Moriya OOCly says, "I should probably head off to sleep soon, although I haven't yet gotten to speak with Yumi and Travis privately." Wakaba says, "OOC We can do that tomorrow, I think, Drew. Get your sleep :)" Moriya OOCly says, "I'm not that tired yet, but okay. :)" Aerianne pages, "What's your url for Aeris, again?" to you. Beowulf says, "OOC Well, Bey wants to talk to Yumi about Ashante and the museum project... Moriya might be interested in that, but dunno." Moriya OOCly says, "But if we're ICly doing prophecy interp while Moriya's around, can I get a copy of that stuff?" You page, ". What'd you have in mind? :)" to Aerianne. Moriya OOCly says, "At any rate, I should stop for tonight and get ready for bed, et cetera." Aerianne pages, "Just wanted to get the info for my home system." to you. Wakaba says, "OOC Let's do your stuff now, Travis, so then he can talk to them in private tomorrow after you IC leave." Beowulf OOCLy nods, it being almost 2 AM where you are. o.o Beowulf OOCly nods again. Moriya OOCly says, "I'll leave logging on, as Moriya's ICly around. You could say that he and Mitsune have moved off to the side to chat while you take care of this." Aerianne pages, "Though I'll prolly put a little entry up for her on the Wiki." to you. You page, "No prob." to Aerianne. Beowulf asks, "OOC Want to do the prophecy bits first, John, or skip over 'em to Ashante?" Wakaba says, "OOC Do the Ashante first, as I'm not sure if I'm gonna want to go late enough tonight to go through the whole prophecy." Beowulf OOCly nods. ========= ========= Beowulf asks, "Lily mentioned last night that you had been talking to the Ashante ambassador, and that they were being invaded from Shadow?" Travis says, "To be precise, they're being raided for slaves from shadow. From a previously unknown kingdom called 'Galicia'. I'm guessing it's similar to fifteenth or sixteenth century Portugal of Shadow Earth, from the limited information we have. Basically, small fleets with cannon and musket-armed men." Travis says, "I am inclined to guess that perhaps whoever supplied gunpowder weapons to the Harad rebels 40 years ago did it to these people as well." Beowulf blinks, eyes widening a bit. "That's very odd. I do know of a Galicia, in Lucas, that's in an area roughly equivalent to Spain just north of Portugal." Travis says, "Probably an alternate earth where that entire coastline is one united kingdom. We haven't established how they shadow travel yet." Beowulf nods. "I don't want to dismiss other possibilities out of hand, since the Outsiders aren't the only ones who can make items that make shadow travel possible... but given the number of Outsider-sponsored Shadow travellers that have been discovered in the last few weeks, I think we can't overlook that angle." Beowulf asks, "Have any of them been captured yet?" Yumi says, "We just got the news yesterday. Since Ashante has no navy to speak of, the marauders have been pretty much untouched and unstoppable." Beowulf nods. "I'd say capturing one of their raiding fleets would be a good first step, then." Beowulf says, "More than anything else, right now we need information." Travis nods. Beowulf asks, "How bad does the damage they've done look, so far? How much time do we have?" Travis says, "So far, it's been fairly small scale raids. Whether this is a prelude to an invasion, or just slave-raiding, we don't know." Beowulf nods. "It's something I'd very much like to help with; however, Keitaro's talking about going after the Egyptian fellow mentioned in the Black Heart, and I think taking out a strongly suspected Herald-candidate takes precedence. Hopefully, it'll be relatively quick to take care of, like the last couple of Herald-candidates we've had to deal with." Travis nods. "Good luck." Beowulf says, "If we can take care of it in a week or two, that shouldn't make too much difference in the Ashante situation." ====== ====== You page, "Actually, would a WF analysis suggest that?" to Akemi. Akemi pages, "Most wars last for years, so a few weeks won't matter." to you. You page, "Right." to Akemi. ====== ====== Beowulf says, "Did you hear of anything new in regards to the Egyptian fellows I ran into on the zeppelin trip? I suspect they're the same folks that Keitaro is after, as we took a construct manifestation from them (suggesting the same pattern as the other Outsider constructs), though the shadow names are different." Travis says, "No new news of them. I suppose they decided to avoid us after that." Beowulf says, "I'm not too surprised; Kanna and I and Lord Khan took care of them pretty quickly." Beowulf asks, "Has Keitaro talked with you yet about finding the place of the Ten Empires of Sand/Black Pharoah?" Beowulf looks to Lily. "Percy's prophecy mentioned a One-Sided loop, yes? It's the reason we went to Talislanta, after all." Travis nods. "I pointed him towards the Black Pyramid, which he plans to investigate. It's in the Hollow World inside Mystara." Lily nods. "Yes, it did." Beowulf chuckles. "So we may end up in the same shadow as Jacqui and Mitsune after all, if Mitsune's still going to help her find the spikard that the Gaunt Man had." Travis nods. Beowulf says, "I'm a bit surprised, though, since the research I'd done on the folks who attacked us suggested they were from the New Nile Empire, if I remember correctly, which was a shadow relatively close to Cape Westburyport." Travis says, "Well, certain records connect the Black Pyramid with events that sound like possible Outsider related matters and claim it has vast magical powers." Beowulf says, "Still, there's nothing to say that they were the same groups, after all. It's a bit unusual for there to be two bunches of Outsider-related Egyptian cultists roaming Shadow, but certainly not impossible." Beowulf says, "Aunt Nanami did give me a tool that should trace the energies that the Nile cultists' construct manifestation gave off; we can try that if the Black Pyramid doesn't pan out." Travis nods. "That should be helpful." Beowulf asks, "Anything else you can think of on that matter? I'd guess you've probably given Keitaro the briefing on the Black Pyramid?" Travis nods. "I've briefed him. I can send yuo the books if you're interested." ======== ======== You page, "Hmmm... if we head down there, maybe we should try to hire the Bright Spear company. ^_^ Or... hmmm, did Amber's Frannic happen to come from Mystara? ^_^" to Akemi. Still, the Mystaran Frannic would be a good one to recruit, being a Nythian expert. ^_^ Wonder if I'd know of him ICly, or would just recognize the likeness when we arrive on-site? :)" to Akemi. Akemi pages, "Heh. Well, Mitsune has been to Glantri/Darokin/etc, would likely point you his way." to you. You page, "Righto. ^_^" to Akemi. ======= ======= Beowulf says, "I think that covers that, then." He nods. Beowulf looks over to Yumi. "Did Lily have a chance to talk to you yet about the museum idea?" Yumi says, "Yes. I think it's a lovely idea, though making sure the shadow remains stable may be tricky." Beowulf nods. "Yes. I was wondering... I'd like to put it halfway between Amber and Chaos. I've heard Yig in a sense represents the Balance, and in a way the museum is meant to do that as well; do you suppose the power of Yig could be used to help keep it stable?" Beowulf asks, "Or do you have any other suggestions for keeping it stable?" "I suspect the Forestals wouldn't want a museum under foot, though," Yumi says. "I will have to think about a solution." Beowulf nods. "Thank you. Would... you be willing to help run the place, or at least take a senior position in the leadership there?" She says, "My duties here are too many for me to be able to take a leading role, but I will see about looking for someone who could." Beowulf says, "As I think I've mentioned to Lily, while I'd like to donate the artwork, and would be happy to help raise the capital, it would probably be best for its intended purpose if the senior management weren't so closely related to one or the other poles." She nods. Beowulf nods. "Thank you. I'm sure, with your connections, that you'd be able to find someone appropriate." He smiles. Beowulf looks at her curiously. "What do you think its effect will be?" She nods. "I hope so." ===================================== ===================================== Wakaba says, "OOC I suggest we cut here, as I assume you work tomorrow." Beowulf OOCly nods. "Was going to ask about her life down in Chaos before we left, and that might be either short or fairly long, so cutting now would work. :) Will be doing some more consulting early in the evening, but should be back here by 9 or 10 PM Central, if you'll have some time." Wakaba nods Beowulf asks, "Here's hoping at least the one thing will go right. :) And shall sleep now; you want me to move back out to Amber Central, so you can talk privately with Drew tomorrow?" Wakaba says, "Best you move out" Beowulf nods. "See you later, then."
