Beowulf OOCly arghs, and wants to make sure Jacqui's going to be OK, but

Thoric and Mutsumi drag Jacqui off for somethign suitably X-rated, after
making sure Morgenstern isn't watching :)

Jacqueline exclaims, "OOCLy wooohooos!"

Gabrielle asks, "OOC: I assume everybody is just trumping right there?"

Kanna OOCly says, "have trumped there or shadowwalked or what have
you..."

Motoko says, "OOC:  Motoko and Davros would probably pop back to Gainax in
order to go with Anno, if that was possible."

John says, "OOC Anno will take everyone who is at Gainax, if they want."

Moriya OOCly says, "Moriya and Mitsune would trump straight there from the
Keep."

Beowulf says, "OOC Bey would probably trump there with Yumi, if the
time's that close. And trump Lily and pull her in if she wants to come."

Kanna OOCly trumped there after her chat with Anthy, as both Miki and Anno
were too busy, and spent some time sizing up the area, paranoidly.

Kanna OOCly says, "And is on the watch for seeing when Bey and
Motoko/Moriya arrive, etc."

Much of your families are gathered here, along with many Chaosians, and
all sorts of strange looking creatures.

Okay. Various people arrive via their prefered method at the newly built
World Tree Arena, which is a large red open-air stadium with part of it
cut out in the tradition of Fenway Park. You can see Yig picturesquely
framed by the stadium walls way, way off in the distance, and down in the
pit is a MASSIVE black cage covered in Sidar runes. The place is gradually
filling up with all and sundry Amberites, Emberites, and Chaosians.

Ushers will show you to the special cageside seats Gabby and the Logrus
have set aside for their friends and well-wishers.

Beowulf looks to see if there's an open space in the bleachers between the
two sides, then sits there waving a little 'Go Referees!' pennant.

Motoko looks horribly embarassed to be here, and half-hides her face
behind a large foam "LOGRUS IS #1" hand.

Davros just stares down at the cage with a look of horror.

Kanna looks to have been pacing most of the time as people arrive,
between Logrus/Gabrielle and 'Referee' sections... she does manage to espy
Beowulf and Motoko, though.

Tylor and Yuriko sit in their seats next to King Ishmael and Fuyutsuki,
and a few other people.  Tylor looks amused.  Yuriko looks two inches from
snapping.

Kanna slips past Beowulf, drops off a bag of something, hands him a
note, and then whispers in his ear.

Beowulf blinks, and takes the note and the bag, listening to Kanna.

You page, "[Kanna] Bey?  Check me on this... I kinda remember a long
time back, Sis took Aeris to go and see the Fire pattern, right?" to
Akemi and The_Prof.

The_Prof pages, "[Beowulf] Yah, Kanna, she did... way back when, in her
public introductions." to you and Akemi.

You page, "[The note reads: "Got information on the Giant Space Whale and
the captured Eowyn.  Want to discuss together, breifly, after match if all
right.  -- Kanna."]" to Akemi and The_Prof.

The_Prof pages, "Beowulf reads the note and nods back to Kanna." to you
and Akemi.

You page, "[Kanna] Good.  Could you have her run a fulltime
trump-monitoring of the Fire Pattern Chamber while we're all down here?
I'm paranoid. *faint smile* Let her know to inform you and me the MOMENT
anybody tries entiering it by any means." to Akemi and The_Prof.

The_Prof pages, "[Beowulf] I shouldn't think that would be a problem.
Aeris *should* be operating all right, I don't think Vice had a chance to
tinker with her. Had a few things going on myself." to you and Akemi.

You page, "[Kanna] Good.  I just want to be sure, what with sis AND dad
down here..." to Akemi and The_Prof.

You page, "[Kanna] Anyway, gotta go make the same note shpeil to Moriya.
 Later." to Akemi and The_Prof.

The_Prof pages, "[Beowulf] No problem. Right now, I'm more worried about
keeping things together down here, though." to you and Akemi.

You can see Morgenstern standing by one part of the cage, hanging out.

Mitsune drags Moriya over to where Motoko and Davros are sitting.

Motoko waves limply.  "Hello, Moriya.  Hello, Mitsune."

A helicopter flies up to the arena.  Drake and Sumire, both dressed
ready to star in Matrix II, clamber down into the seats.

Moonshade sits by herself, repeatedly looking around, obviously
wondering when Jacqui will show up.

Moriya sits down. "Hello, Motoko, Davros," he says.

Corrine now trumps in with her husband, and takes a seat by Tylor.  The
Red Knight ambles down to where Morgenstern is.

Motoko glances over at Moonshade and frets a bit.

Kanna ... stares at leather/pvc clad Sumire for a bit.

Kanna shakes her head, and murmurs a bit more into Bey's ear.

Sumire looks over at Kanna and looks somewhat embarrassed.

Moriya looks at Drake and Sumire, a bit bemusedly, but decides to let it
pass without comment.

Drake goes and talks briefly to Tylor.

Beowulf catches the glances back and forth and just cocks a smiling
eyebrow at Sumire.

Moriya shakes his head. "I frankly would rather not be here, but the
potential for disaster makes me not want to be away even more."

Kanna stands up, waves and gives a grin to Sumire, and then heads over to
the Logrus section, to where Moriya is.

Motoko nods glumly.  "And Jacqueline just broke up with the Logrus
today, which nearly caused time to unravel.  I think it's either going to
be in a really lousy mood, or too sad to fight."

Moriya says, "..."

Kanna "..."s as she overhears that as she gets close enough.

Conveniently placed concessions stands sell commemorative t-shirts,
including 'GABRIELLE ROCKS' and 'LOGRUS WILL 0WNZ jO!'

Anno goes down and talks to The Red Knight and Morgenstern.

Kanna shakes her head.  "I'm not sure if I even want to know."

"That," Moriya finally manages, "does not encourage me."

Motoko says, "Moonshade is expecting Jacqueline to show up, I think, but I
doubt she will.  I think she's going to stay well away from the Logrus,
particularly during this."  She sighs.

Kanna then leans down, and drops off a bag of something next to Moriya,
and hands him a note.

Moriya blinks, looks over the note, and nods at Kanna. Then he looks at
the bag questioningly.

Kanna murmurs in Moriya's ear.

Motoko gets up and walks over to Moonshade, giant foam hand dangling
limply at her side.

You page, "[Kanna] The data from Radical Edward's scans during the
attack by the whale.  Figured tactical folks could make better sense
over all of it." to Akemi and Shizumaru.

You page, "[Kanna] Also having Aeris monitor the Fire Pattern chamber, and
I'm gonna be on my guard during all this.  So sue me, I'm paranoid. *she
smiles faintly.* Remind me to clock sis one the next time she's in range,
this is just so damn stupid, but I tried talking her out of it... *sigh*"
to Akemi and Shizumaru.

You can see Bumpy the pimp arrive in a trump effect, to your surprise. He
and his 'hos occupy some of the stands.

Moriya nods once more. "Right," he murmurs.

Moonshade looks up at Motoko.  "Hi.  My arm works."  She smiles shyly.

She waves it about.

Beowulf watches as Kanna drops off the things to Moriya, sets down his
pennant and goes over to talk to him briefly.

Rimururu tramps across the stands once she spots Moriya and comes over and
hugs him.  "Hi, son," she says.  She seems quite cheerful today.

Moriya hugs his mother. "Hello, Mother. You seem to be doing better
now."

Kanna moves away from Moriya, and now cycles up towards the royal
booths.

Beowulf blinks and gladly gives his mother first shot at him.

Motoko smiles back, also rather shyly.  "I'm glad to see that.  Perhaps
you should get one of these."  She forlornly waves the giant foam hand.
"They're very, umm... large."  Pause.  "I don't think Jacqueline is
coming.  Not after everything that happened earlier today."  Pause. "With
time nearly unravelling and all."

You page, "(oh, in Kanna's time being having gotten there before
everybody else as of yet, what security holes, etc, could have Kanna
noticed?)" to Akemi.

Akemi pages, "You have the impression that anything capable of doing any
serious damage here will likely destroy the entire world." to you.

You page, "Eeeeheh. *looks at Gaby and the Logrus* Why does that NOT
reassure me? *wl*" to Akemi.

Akemi pages, "Heh." to you.

She says, "I feel much better.  As better as I will be until your father
gets out of jail."

Moriya smiles. "Oh? Something good happened?"

She smiles.  "It's just been a good couple of days."

Moriya nods. "Good. Grandmother is all right now; she's staying in House
Gainax to rest. We thought we should go visit Father after the Great
Assembly that's happening tomorrow."

Kanna gets within range of Queen Corrine, and now taps her on the
shoulder and leans over to murmur in her ear.

Moonshade says, "Alright.  I won't wait for her to show, then.  Hmm, do
they have any 'Go, Gabby' hands?"

Kanna is riddled with bolts by the security guards and...oh, maybe not.
Corrine looks up and smiles at her.

They do indeed sell 'GABRIELLE ROCKS!' giant foam hands.

Rimururu nods.  "That would be good." She sits down by Moriya.  "This
should be exciting."

Motoko nods.  "Yes, they do.  If you'd like to sit with Davros and
Moriya and Mitsune and I..."

You page, "[Kanna] Mom, I talked with Dowager Queen Anthy... she doesn't
have any objections to trying to contact Dread Pirate Demetrius, so if you
can dig up that info and get copies made, it'll really help. *she smiles
slightly* And my opinion of the security here... well,  anything capable
of doing any serious damage here will likely destroy the entire world." to
Akemi.

You page, "[Kanna] Of course, considering our two -combatants-...
*eyeroll*" to Akemi.

Akemi pages, ""I'll make sure you get it quickly."" to you.

You page, "[Kanna] Thanks, mom." to Akemi.

Moriya chuckles and nods. Then he frowns slightly, and whispers
something to his mother.

Moonshade says, "Yeah, that would be good." She gets up and follow you
over to them.

A white shirt, neatly folded, appears on Motoko's chair in a Trump
effect as she returns.

Motoko peers at it curiously.

The front of the shirt merely says 'Why?' in bold black letters.

Kanna gives her mother a quick hug and a kiss on the cheek before moving
to a spot that has both a good view of the cage area, and Yig in the far
distance.

Motoko sighs and turns it round to look at the back.

Beowulf moves over to Moriya as his mother sits down, then waits as
they're still talking. He turns to Mitsune. "You been doing all right?" he
asks with a smile. "Glad to see you back up to weight, at least."

Rimururu frowns at Moriya.

The back of it shows Motoko, looking considerably more action-heroine than
she usually does, summoning the Serpent in a fancy light show. 'Because
I'm dating the Serpent, and you are not.'

Motoko stares, then murmurs something about hoping she gets some of the
royalties before pulling the oversized shirt on over her black
Cathayan-style blouse.

Beowulf smiles again. "You were a delightful 10-year-old, but I'm glad to
see the adult back."

Mitsune nods.  "I'm feeling a lot better."

You page, "(oh man, you're making it?)" to Chris.

Chris pages, "Nope. ICly in jail at the moment. John pauses me so he can
concentrate on the match." to you.

You page, "... ack. :P" to Chris.

Motoko glances over at Rimururu as she sits down again.  "How have you
been, Aunt?"

There is a huge FWAKOOM over the cage as the Logrus appears.

Beowulf bends over to whisper to Moriya as Motoko talks to Rimruru.

It perches in an ever shifting sign over the cage.

Rimururu says, "I am quite well, Motoko.  I have had a relaxing few
days."

Moriya glances around quickly, before tilting his head to listen to
Beowulf.

Motoko waves her giant foam "LOGRUS IS #1" hand with something vaguely
resembling enthusiasm as the Logrus appears, then addresses Rimu again.
"Oh?  What have you been up to?"

Kanna meeps at the reappearance of the Logrus, remembering its -last-
appearance, even at range.

Moriya frowns, and nods at Beowulf.

Beowulf waves in greeting to the rest of the folks in that group, then
quickly moves back over to his 'Go Referees!' seat.

The Logrus bellows, "I haVE aRRiVEd!!  LeT'S ALL giVe A BIg SHoUT-OuT for
MY CHoSEn RefERee, ThE LIon oF CHaOS, HImsELf!  BaCK by PoPUlAr DEmanD!"

Tylor chokes on his drink.

Beowulf says, "...oh, crap," he whispers.

Moriya blinks very slowly and looks up at the stage.

Kanna . o O (Oh, -that's- going to get people's attention.)

Anno vibrates like he is experiencing a personal earthquake.

Kuonji Ukyou walks out into the referee's platform, fedora firmly in
place, leather jacket replaced by a formal suit. A large button on his
lapel reads 'REFEREE'. He beams at the gathering, then stops when he sees
Beowulf's "Go Referees" flag. His left eye begins to twitch rapidly, then
he smiles again, and returns to consulting a book labeled 'PRIMAL POWER
WRESTLING FEDERATION BYLAWS.'

Some people cheer.  Some boo.  Others cry.

The Red Knight goes up to join Kuonji on the platform.

Moriya says, "Er. Hah. Okay."

Kanna -twitches-, an eyebrow twitch somewhat like Sumire's or Kuonji's in
the past.

Motoko frowns very slightly and murmurs something under her breath.

Moonshade frowns intensely.

Kuonji Ukyou smiles cheerfully, and raises a mike. "Good evening
everybody, and welcome to World Tree Arena! I'm your referee, Kuonji
Inji, the Lion of Chaos, and this is my co-ref 'Cruel Carl'  the Red
Knight of Ember! We have a fabulous show for you tonight, with the one and
only Logrus facing off with Gabrielle the Pyomaniacal Construct of Ember!
In a Steel! Cage! Match! NO HOLDS BARRED!" He turns to the Red Knight.
"Cruel Carl, what's the history of this grudge match?"

Beowulf BLIIINKS in surprise as he sees who the Logrus' referee is, then
sits back as it's not anything he can do anything about at the moment.

The Red Knight says, "I am not cruel.  But regardless, it all started when
Gabrielle was just a wee tot, and the Logrus came chasing all the way into
Ember, trashing everything in its wake as it tried to catch Gideon of
Avalon, as he had apparently been a 'punk-ass Bitch'."

Kanna doesn't know wether to facefault, laugh, cry, or charge the stage
with intent-to-maim-Referee.  She instead settles for just crossing her
arms and not trying to think about things -too- much.

Kuonji Ukyou exclaims, "Oooo! That's cold!"

He continues, "That was but the beginning of what has been a forty year
rivalry, to be finally settled here and now, at the World Tree Arena."

You page, "(excuse me, Kanna's brain has nicely flipped to standby right
now...)" to Chris.

Chris pages, "I can imagine." to you.

Motoko raises her giant foam "LOGRUS IS #1" finger like the lone valiant
sail on a tumultuous sea, and just kind of shuts off part of her brain for
a little while.

There's a very large BOOM! and the biggest damn Sign of the Pattern
you've ever seen manifests above the cage. It spins around once ro
twice, putting on an impressive light show, and then collapses into
Gabrielle. "LET'S GET IT ON! WHOOO! MO, BRING THE FUNK!"

Kuonji Ukyou exclaims, "Should be one red-hot match here tonight! I'd like
to take this moment to give a big PPWF hello to the 50 trillion sentients
watching the match on our TV and Trump affiliate, the Juri Porn Channel,
and mention our sponsor, the Kashmir Trading Collective. Remember, buy
Kashmir!"

Moonshade shouts, "Go, Aunt Gabby!  CRUSH HER FLAT!"

The_Prof pages, "...well, at least it got a reaction out of Kuonji. o.o
Dang it, I wonder if John had this planned from the beginning, or if he
came up with it after I said I was going to cheer on the referees? x.x" to
you.

You page, "Beats the hell outta me... o_O  So much for her identity
being quite so much a secret...." to The_Prof.

The_Prof pages, "Yah. x.x" to you.

Motoko yells, "Logrus, Logrus, rah-rah-rah!  Yaaaaaaaay LOGRUS!"  Then she
giggles.

Moriya tries not to look disturbed at Motoko's actions.

The Red Knight says, "Now we'll go to a commercial while the Logrus
tries to figure out how to successfully get into the cage.  Be back in
five, folks."

Mo, having, indeed, 'brought the funk,' helps Gabrielle whip the crowd
into a frenzy with a pre-fight musical pyrotechnics show.

Kanna looks torn between watching this thing and sketching it for
posterity, and going and hiding under a rock.

Motoko says, cheerfully, "Have you ever had one of those dreams that
seems really frightening at first, but then you realize it's a dream, so
it's okay, and eventually you'll just wake up?  That's kind of how I'm
feeling now."

You can see the Logrus busy squirming, trying to fit itself through the
holes in the cage.

Motoko twitches slightly.

Moriya mumbles, "But this isn't a dream, Motoko. Much as I wish it
were."

In the sky, a huge viewing window opens.  Looks like they're going to play
the commercials in the sky, starting with...

You see footage of Jacqui, half-dressed and snuggling up to someone who
looks suspiciously like Juri as bouncy music plays, in the viewing window.

Kuonji Ukyou consults the bylaws, mumbles something to the Red Knight, and
then glances up at the sky.

Voiceover:  Forbidden Passion and Country Music.  The sweetest fruits of
all.

Moriya stares. "I don't think we need to see this."

Corrine stares in utter shock.

Beowulf twitches. And feels rather alone.

Kanna says, "..."

Motoko hums along with the music.

Moriya rubs his eyes, looks again. "It didn't go away."

A series of shots to bouncy pop music follows, most of them fairly
X-rated, showing Juri and Jacqui doing all sorts of things.

Moriya says, "Argle."

Beowulf sighs and covers his eyes until the commercial's over.

She was a secret agent of the CMA.  She...um, the other She, was the
rock and roll messiah she had to betray.  But first, they had lots of
random, meaningless, pleasurable sex.

Kanna moves over to Bey's side, doing her damndest NOT to pay attention to
the commercials.

Rimururu stares with the look of a deer in headlights.

Motoko says, cheerfully, "I hope no minors are watching this."

Moriya desperately turns away. "So, Mother, what have you been up to the
past few days?"

Voiceover:  They would have more mad passionate sex than some shadows can
survive!

You page, "[Kanna] ... first thing we do, we find who scheduled these
advertisments... and toss them in a shadow, and shove primal chaos up

You page, "[Kanna] ...followed by a Shadow Firestorm." to Akemi and

The_Prof pages, "[Beowulf] ...Remember who Kuonji said sponsored it? The
KTC?" to you and Akemi.

You page, "[Kanna] .... indeed. *frown* *sigh* you're right.  He and
Taylor are too good at this.  Trying to get our goat." to Akemi and
The_Prof.

The_Prof pages, "[Beowulf] Indeed he is. Which is why I'm trying to
limit my reactions. O.O" to you and Akemi.

You page, "[Kanna] ... let me just go into tactical analysis mode.  That
will dull the mental pain." to Akemi and The_Prof.

Beowulf murmurs, "This isn't happening. This isn't happening." He blinks
and looks over at Kanna as she arrives.

BIG TITLE:  DO ME, ROCK AND ROLL MESSIAH, tonight on the Juri Porn
channel, at 10 PM.  All-Juri Porn, All the time

Several more much less offensive commercials follow.

It closes with a big ad for the Kashmir Trading Collective.

Yumi sits with the look of a woman who has learned how to scream and
destroy worlds inside her mind while showing no sign of it.

Kuonji Ukyou says, "Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen and the calcium
matrixes of affiliate Shadow GHTy'Kyj! Before we begin tonight's
maaaaaaaaain event, let's go over the rules of the match." He clears his
throat. "If you leave the cage, you lose. If you are pinned, you lose. If
you lose consciousness, sentience, or fashion sense, you lose. If you
attempt or succeed in destroying the Shadow, the audience, the referees,
or the fabric of space and time, you lose." He pauses. "I quite mean it
about the space and time part. Ahem. If you kill your opponent, you lose.
If you at any point attempt to sing ABBA, you lose."

The Red Knight says, "Okay, as soon as the Logrus manages to get back
inside the cage..."

The Logrus pauses, turns into a thrush, flies in, and turns back to big
squiggly mode.

Motoko waves her giant foam hand with great enthusiasm.  "GO LOGRUS!"

Davros shouts, "Go, Logrus!  Fight, Fight, Fight!"

Gabrielle simply firebolts into the cage.

The Logrus then shifts forms, and becomes a huge red-skinned woman with
four eyes and four arms.

Motoko asks, "Is there any of that caramel popcorn?"

Beowulf smiles up at Kuonji, quite innocently on the outside, and waves
his 'Go Referees' flag defiantly.

You page, "[Kanna] So.  Vacation.  How soon? *quirked grin*" to Akemi and
The_Prof.

The_Prof pages, "[Beowulf] Not soon enough, unfortunately." He sighs.
"There's still a Mature to catch, and perhaps a Yog."" to you and Akemi.

You page, "[Kanna] ... defintiely need quick updates.  But anyway." to
Akemi and The_Prof.

Kuonji Ukyou asks, "Ooo! A small bird move by the Logrus! That sort of
talent should serve it well in the match... although small birds are
dangerously flamable and pop of statues! On the other hand, it's current
form of Suroth the Skullcrusher is rather ideal for a brawl, wouldn't uyou
say, Cruel Carl?"

Gabrielle, you all notice, is spurting fire from fashionably strategic
points on her skin and tight, red wrestling ensemble.

Kanna considers, pulls out a piece of paper from her pack, and a magic
marker, and writes on it in large letters: "REFEREES JUDGE OK!!"

The Red Knight says, "I am NOT cruel.  And yes, I'd say that sums it up
pretty well."

The Logrus shouts, "You ready to get put down like a mad dog,
Gabrielle?"

Kanna gives her dad a thumbs-up.

House Helgram goes wild.  "GO LOGRUS!  DEFEND VALENCIA!"  Okay, maybe that
wasn't House Helgram...

Motoko eats caramel corn and offers some to Moonshade and Davros, and
anyone else nearby.

Gabrielle says, "Hah! You're my bitch, Logrus! My bitch!! PH33R!"

Kuonji Ukyou exclaims, "Whoa! You could HEAR the numbers in that world!"

The Red Knight says, "Okay, remember the rules.  No dirty fighting!  And
if either of you try to knock out the referees, I'm coming in after you!"

The Red Knight says, "And so will Kuonji, so you'd better behave
yourselves!"

Kuonji Ukyou says, "Er... that's right."

And then the Logrus charges at Gabrielle, apparently going for a
shoulder hold.

Beowulf scribbles down a quick sign: "DEFEND THE STRUCTURE OF SPACE AND
TIME!"

Moriya just sits back and watches with a vaguely resigned look on his
face.

Motoko spots Loewen in the Helgram section and waves enthusiastically to
him.  "Hi, Lord Loewen!  GO LOGRUS!"

Gabrielle leaps and unleashes a series of spinning kicks. The Logrus
goes flying, hits the wall, splats like thrown playdoh, then springs
back into shape, throwing itself at Gabrielle's legs.

Loewen waves back to Motoko and shouts somethign that can't be heard
over the roar of the crowd.

Beowulf smiles glassily at Kanna. "I'm sure this will all be better in the
morning, right?"

The Red Knight says, "Oooh, not a very good opening sortie for the
logrus, I'd have to say."

Kuonji Ukyou asks, "The Logrus shows that stamina that comes from being
the Incarnation of Unpredictablity, but will mere stamina be enough?"

Gabrielle jumps over the Logrus, and tries to come down on its back, but
when she does so, ehr feet sink right into the Logrus, which folds around
them.  It then cracks one of its arms like a whip across her face, before
she manages to wrench loose and fly up into the upper reaches of the cage
out of its grip.  It flows back into a fully humanoid shape and then
starts climbing the side of the cage

The Red Knight says, "Well, it does have Suroth's skills in that form, and
Suroth was said tohave wrestled down the Serpent.  But a lot of people
have accused the Serpent of throwing that match."

Gabrielle exclaims, "My face! You messed up my girlish good looks!"

Kuonji Ukyou exclaims, "And the Logrus clotheslines Gabby with her own
arm! They're going UP THE CAGE!"

"Ugly plus more ugly is still ugly!" the Logrus shouts.  "WHAT good
looks?"  Then it tries to leap off the side of the cage at Gabrielle.

Motoko murmurs something about knowing one way to wrestle the Serpent
where nobody loses, and smirks slightly.  Then she eats more caramel corn.

Davros's ears turn red.

Kuonji Ukyou exclaims, "FLYING CHAOS WHAMMY!"

Kanna says back to Beowulf, "It's like a bad bender, without the
alcohol."

Saionji shouts, "USE THE TRIPLE-DELUXE SLAM, GABRIELLE!"

Kanna says, "We're gonna get hangovers just from exposure, I'm sure of
it."

Beowulf raises an eyebrow. "Um. I wouldn't know about that. But I
suspect you're right."

The Logrus comes at Gabrielle, who manages to dodge and slams it in the
side with both her flaming fists.  Explosions go off and the Logrus flies
into the side of the cage, and falls to the bottom.

Kuonji Ukyou exclaims, "Ooo, that's gonna leave a mark! Prompted by her
manager, Gabby went for the dreaded Triple Deluxe Slam!"

But then it bounces like a ball, and flies back UP at her, fists
forward.

Beowulf looks to see if anything escaped the cage.

"Well, that's quite a tricky move to pull off, but I fear the Logrus is
playing into it..."

Kuonji Ukyou exclaims, "The move that destroyed Tychen V when performed
incorrectly! But even performed with perfection, it hasn't phased the
Logrus!"

Motoko shouts, "LOGRUS!  USE ROCKET PUNCH!"

Kanna . o O (Uncle Saionji is -managing- Sis?!)

The Logrus bounces several times, repeatedly slammed down by Gabrielle.
But now you can see that every time she hits it, it's just speeding up,
letting her feed it Kinetic energy, so that it comes back harder each
time...

House Darios starts chanting, "TURN INTO WATER!  TURN INTO WATER!"

Gabrielle o O(Saionji is managing me? Since- uh-oh.)

Kuonji Ukyou asks, "It's.... THE BOUNCY BALL OF WHUPASS! Can the Logrus do
it?"

Gabrielle forms a huge Lacrosse stick made out of flames and catches the
Logrus in it...except the logrus turns into water, douses the stick, turns
solid, bounces off the roof, and slams into her from above, driving her
down into the floor of the cage.  WHAM

Kanna winces at that hit.

Kuonji Ukyou exclaims, "Aiyah! Can ya FEEL the pain? Looks bad for
Gabrielle!"

Motoko exclaims, "SCORPION LOCK!  SCORPION LOCK!"

The Red Knight says, "Exactly.  That's going to leave a mark."

The Logrus then turns into a giant scorpion and tries to pin Gabby with
its many legs.

Kuonji Ukyou asks, "It sure will, Cruel Carl. How much more of this
punishment can Gabby take?"

You page, "Well, Kanna felt obligated, and... well, if this manages to
pound sense into sis WITHOUT killing her or the Fire Pattern, well..." to

The_Prof pages, "Yah... though really, I don't want either one to
outright *win*; either one of them would be insufferable if they did." to

You page, "Heh.  Well, Dunno how that'd work out save by sheer fatigue.

Motoko twitches more and crams caramel corn into her mouth like a
junkie.

The Red Knight says, "I don't know.  She's got an entire Pattern backing
her up, but the Logrus IS one of the Primal Powers too."

Kuonji Ukyou says, "Good point. And don't forget, the Logrus is a
veteran of the ring. Folks in own audience might not know it, but this is
actually the second Steel Cage Match it's been in."

Gabrielle suddenly splits into dozens of Chibi=-Gabrielles and slips out
of the hold.  Then they all form together into Gabrielle again, and begin
jumping up and down on the Logrus-Scorpion's tail, causing it to fold the
wrong way.  It shouts very loudly.

Gabrielle asks, "YOU WANT SOME OF THIS, SQUIGGLY?!?!?"

Squiggly turns into a huge net and wraps around Gabrielle tightly,
beginnning to crush her.

Kuonji Ukyou says, "It took on the Chur-Toth Avatar of the Pre-Logrus
Civilization in a match with rules identical to this, resulting in the
destruction of the Avatar and its concept, the vaporization of a pole of
creation, and the death of a sub-infinite number of sentients. However,
PPWF bylaws have been revised since then."

Kuonji Ukyou says, "Looks like the Logrus is trying a chokehold..."

Kanna squeezes's Beowulf's hand a little bit at -that- little factoid. If
it's a factoid.  Or something.  Anyway.

The Red Knight nods.  "Quite.  It was agreed that was rather out of
proportion to the battle involved.  Which is why the 'no universe
destroying' rules were added."

Beowulf just stares glassily as he recognizes the reference.

Moonshade shouts, "Go, Gabby!  Avenge Jacqui!"

The Logrus visibly ripples.

Beowulf. o O (Kuonji had *better* get this one right, or he ain't gonna be
dying. Not for a long, long time.)

"DON'T REMIND ME ABOUT JACQUI!!!!!!" It bellows.

Kuonji Ukyou exclaims, "There were a lot of disappointed Chur-Toth fans
that day, Cruel Carl. Ooo! Now that's fighting dirty!"

Kuonji Ukyou exclaims, "But will this make the Logrus lose focus... or
spur it to UNBRIDLED RAGE!?!"

And then Gabrielle turns into a huge flaming demon of Patternflame. 
There is a big BOOM inside the cage, and the Logrus loses its grip on
Gabrielle.

Motoko stands up on her seat and shouts, "Don't listen to her, Logrus!
FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT!"  She waves her giant foam hand like it's going out
of style.

Moonshade shouts, "I BET YOU WEREN'T EVEN HALF AS GOOD IN BED AS THORIC!
 OR MUTSUMI!"

Moriya stares at Moonshade.

Rimururu STARES at Moonshade.

Kuonji Ukyou winces. "Now that's just harsh."

Kanna says, "..."

The Red Knight says, "Please, do not taunt Happy Fun Logrus."

Beowulf groans and stares at Moonshade, obviously driven beyond possible
commentary.

Motoko staggers as reality intrudes slightly.  This causes her to trip on
her seat and fall into Moonshade's lap.

Motoko exclaims, "Whoops!"

Kuonji Ukyou asks, "Actually, wasn't the orgy of destruction last time
triggered by the 'You a big ho' comment towards the Chur-Toth virgins,
Cruel Carl?"

The Logrus turns and reforms into...Demogorgon.  Doesn't fit very well in
the cage.  "BLOOD FOR THE BLONDE GOD!!!!!" It shouts, charging Gabrielle.

The Red Knight nods.  "The crack about having had all of the Logrus'
Vestal Virgins in one night didn't help either."

Kanna is nicely... somethinged... beyond all capacity for rational
thought.  Or just thought, either.

Kuonji Ukyou says, "Let me check the bylaws on audience interference."

Moonshade wraps her arms around Motoko.  "Careful there, or you'll hurt
yourself," she says.

Moriya says, faintly, "My head hurts."

And Moonshade shouts, "AND I BET RAMON'S BETTER IN BED THAN YOU, TOO!"

Beowulf says, "Wabadah. Mugadah. Fungargle."

Kuonji Ukyou says, "I say. We're supposed to vaporize people attempting to
A) incite the primal powers or B) pass them folding chairs." He looks
uncertain. "Can we DO that, Cruel Carl?"

Motoko dizzily tries to right herself.  "I think I've had too much
sugar," she murmurs to Moonshade.  "Is the world sane again?  I could have
sworn you were shouting about Jacqui and Mutsumi and Thoric to infuriate
the Logrus while 50 trillion people watched.  And then you said something
about my father."

Moriya says, "........."

Kanna nods in agreement with Beowulf.

The Red Knight says, "Hmm, I suggest we try harsh language at those
inciting first.  Then we hit them with folding chairs."  He picks one up
and heads towards Moonshade.

Gabrielle bounces around a few times. "Hah! You big clumsy LOSER!
L33T!!" She then spins and shoots in between Demogorgons large fists,
NAILING it in the chest.

Motoko waves as the Red Knight approaches.  "Hi, Grandfather!"

Kanna . o O (Dad.  With folding chair. ... Check please!)

It goes flying.  KERWHAMMO into the side of the cage again, as Gabby
slips past its defenses.

Gabrielle jumps, spins, and goes for a another shot before it can pick a
new form.

Kuonji Ukyou restrains Carl. "No need." He gestures. Ten dozen folding
chairs cascade down from the ceiling. Moonshade squawks, then is buired
under a steadily growing heap of raining chairs. One hand protrudes,
twitching spasmodically.

Beowulf smiles insanely and waves his 'Go Referees' flag energetically.

The Red Knight stares in surprise.

Motoko, being in Moonshade's lap, goes down beneath the folding chair
barrage as well.  No hand protrudes to twitch spasmodically, probably
because Motoko is not quite as durable as Moonshade.

Kuonji Ukyou exclaims, "Whoops! Gabby's surging!"

Moriya stares some more. Then gets up. "Davros, help me get Motoko out of
there."

Gabrielle unleashes a mighty blow at the Logrus, pounding it again and
again.  It's bouncing against the walls, constantly interrupted in its
efforts to shift forms.

Davros nods and begins pulling chairs aside, trying to dig Motoko out.

Motoko is eventually discovered to have been largely shielded by
Moonshade, but appears to have passed out due to it being difficult to
breathe with your face against Moonshade's substantial chest.

Moriya uses a Lifeforce to revive Motoko, and passes her to Davros.

Davros sits back down and holds her in his lap.

Moriya sits down, the resigned look having returned to his face.

Far across the arena, you can see some lone figure in black now emerge on
the very rim of the Arena.  He's little more than a speck fromwhere you're
all seated.

Motoko wakes up and looks up at Davros.  "Is it over yet?"

Davros says, "Only for Moonshade."

Motoko blinks.  "Is she all right?"  Pause.  "Did you just leave her
buried under those chairs?"

Kanna hrms, purses her lips slightly, digs in her pack,a nd pulls out a
pair of binoculars.

Beowulf blinks and seems to come out of his fugue briefly. "Eh?" He puts
on his spectacles and tries zooming in on the figure. Is it coming from
the direction of Yig?

Moriya says, "Well, she's not buried still, but she is still
unconscious. That might be a good thing, though."

Kuonji Ukyou says, "Hmm... I sense... a presence... one I've not felt
since..."

The Red Knight's eyes widen.  "Oh my."

Kanna uses her binoculars to try and focus on the figure in black, to try
and place it.

Akemi pages, "It looks like a dark skinned, dark haired man in black
robes, holding a scythe and a large golden skull." to you.

Gabrielle hits the Logrus in the head, chest, and ichorous pseudopod, then
flings it against one side of the cage. She flips to the other side.

Motoko looks blearily at Moriya.  "Well, is she a comfortable
unconscious?"

Davros says, "We only left her partly buried."

It staggers, and begins to shift into a mist.

Mitsune shouts, "Go Mist, GO!"

Moriya glances over at Moonshade, sighs softly, and goes over to, at
least, arrange her more comfortably. Getting Kafuin to pass through some
cushions, as needed.

Motoko mumbles, "She's family.  Doesn't do to leave family buried.  Even
big-mouthed family."  She staggers out of Davros's lap in order to help
Moriya dig Moonshade out and leave her comfortable unconscious.

Moonshade mumbles in her sleep, "Both of you at once...oh my."

Kuonji Ukyou exclaims, "Looks like the Logrus is taking a pounding as it
turns to mist and the bane of all life closes in on World Tree Stadium!
What a fight!"

You page, "Or... oh hell, somebody managed to become the next
Herald?!?!" to Akemi.

Akemi pages, "No one you know." to you.

Moriya pauses, shivers slightly, then continues.

Beowulf asks, "Um, should there be a dark-skinned, dark-haired man in
black robes, with a scythe and a golden skull, coming up to the arena?"

Kanna says, "You see it too?  I couldn't place ... whoever that is..." She
frowns.

Motoko frowns slightly at Moonshade, then makes sure her head is
pillowed comfortable.  "I hope she's having happy dreams," she chirps in
spun-sugar voice.

Moriya raps on Motoko's head lightly. "You're losing control again,
Cousin."

You hear a man shout, "I AM ULTHAR THE ALL-POWERFUL!  NOW ALL OF YOU
WILL PERISH!  THIS IS THE DAY OF MY REVEEEEENNNNGGGGEEEEE!!!!!"  It's the
speck on the other side of the stadium.

Motoko grabs Moriya by the wrist and leans in very close.  "No," she
hisses.  "I am very, very, _very_ much in control."

Moriya nods placidly. "Ah, is that so? All right. Make sure you stay
there."

Kuonji Ukyou exclaims, "It's the return of Ulthar to the PPWF! What a
development!"

Kanna asks, "?"

Motoko nods to Moriya, then goes back to doing some kind of
sophisticated Feng-Shui arrangement with Moonshade's cushions.

Moriya says, "Because I feel vaguely like I'm teetering on the edge of
something."

Kanna looks at Beowulf.  "Ring any bells for you?  Outsidery or just
soemthing very old and ancient?"

Beowulf says, "Um... I think he got the Logrus so angry one time that it
threw him, on fire, into the Abyss." He blinks. "With a bunch of wild dogs
chewing on him."

Beowulf looks over at the Helgram section. "Did Lord Loewen have a
brother?"

Kanna says, "..."

Motoko says, "I'm hanging by my fingernails, but if I try and pull
myself up, I'll slip and fall.  You see what I mean?"  Arrange the
cushions, the cushions are the world in miniature, or perhaps the world is
the cushions writ large, delineation between self and cushion fades away,
self becomes cushion becomes self becomes cushion becomes I am the cushion
the cushion is me I am.

You see Loewen shout, "Helgram!  KILL THAT MAN!"

Moriya says, "Mmm. Yes, I see."

Hundreds, maybe thousands of Chaosians begin forming logrus tendrils,
which begin to zoom towards Ulthar...

Kanna says, "I would have absolutely no idea, Beowulf, though apparently
Lord Loewen knows him..."

Kuonji Ukyou says, "Oooo, that's gonna leave a mark."

Moriya says, "All I know is that I've found out much more than I've
wanted to about various members of our family."

Beowulf blinks vaguely, seeming to return a bit closer to sanity, then
staggers up and starts moving slowly towards Ulthar.

"And that's only a backdrop to a vicious brawl that the Logrus and Aunt
Gabrielle are having in a Sidar-runed cage," Moriya continues, casually.

Motoko says, "I am of the opinion that we should simply pretend this
entire evening, from the beginning of the match to the end, did not
happen."  I am the cushion the cushion is me I am the cushion the
cushion is me.

Gabrielle poses. "Foolish Logrus! I kill you so hard, your ancestors
will die! SPECIAL ATTACK- TUNNEL.... OF.... PAIIIIIIIIIN!" She raises her
hands and a massive, ropy tunnel of FirePattern forms linking her and the
Logrus, ending on one side of the cage. "FIIIIIIIIIIIGGGHHHHT!!!!"

As the tendrils form, the Logrus-Mist wavers, as they seem to be yanking
power out of its manifestation here to form their tendrils...

Moriya says, "I can try, but I know it'll all come back to haunt me
during the dark corners of the night."

Davros quietly puts a hand on Motoko's shoulder, and stands there with the
look of a man ready to restrain her if necessary.

Motoko says, "Ne, Moriya, doesn't Moonshade look cute when she's
sleeping?"

Kanna hauls herself up as well to follow beowulf, as this is the sort of
thing she was trying to keep watch for, -anyway-, and well, it's her
job...

Gabrielle charges down the tunnel like she was fired from a railgun, a
massive wave of plasma preceding here. "YAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!"

Moriya hmms. "Yes, she does, actually. Much more peaceful, at the very
least."

Beowulf looks over. "Oh. Logrus tendrils. Whee."

Beowulf continues moving through the stands towards the open end,
ducking Logrus tendrils as necessary.

Though given Kanna and Beowulf had to look at the person with
-binoculars-, and now that there's Logrus Tendrils swarming the area
where he was... well, she follows Beowulf for backup, anyway.

Moriya takes a glance over his shoulder to see how Mitsune and Rimururu
are doing.

Beowulf exclaims, "At least I can do *something* during the match!
Whee!"

Kuonji Ukyou exclaims, "Uh-oh, Cruel Carl, the Logrus is in trouble!"

Moonshade mumbles, "oooh ... be gentle, Motoko. I've never done it like
that before."

Kanna arches an eyebrow at Beowulf.

Moriya twitches. "I want to be ignorant about these things. I really
do."

The Red Knight says, 'Looks like this is going to be the end for the
Logrus.  It's just not fighting up to par.  You'd almost think that a
princess of Amber had dumped it for her relatives, or something."

Motoko smiles blissfully at Moonshade and strokes her forehead. 
"Pointed ears are so cute," she enthuses.

Kuonji Ukyou exclaims, "That's right, Carl. Emotional troubles plus
crazed followers sapping strength from it... you could say this battle's
been decided outside the ring. Oh, the humanity!"

Mitsune is cheering wildly.  Rimururu is just staring in shock.

You page, "Any sign of this Ulthar fellow among the mass of Tendrils?" to
Akemi.

Moriya says, "I think...I'll go sit back down. Before I hear more things I
want to edit out of my mind."

Ulthar vanishes in a cloud of tendrils.

Kuonji Ukyou says, "And Ulthar's career is cut tragically short! The
ring loses a sincere if rather dippy fighter..."

Kanna says, "... Ah."

The Logrus is forced back solid, then slammed against the side of the
cage.  It gets squeezed out of the cage like cheese through a grater.

Kanna looks at Beowulf.  "Back to the seats?"

But then it reforms, clinging desperately by tendrils, hanging off the
side of the cage.

Beowulf blinks in disappointment. "Oh. I didn't get to help. Oh, well." He
sags down onto Kanna's shoulder.

Kuonji Ukyou asks, "Oooo! Is this the end of the Logrus?"

Kanna supports Beowulf, and goes and carries him back to the 'Referee'
section.

Motoko waves her foam hand.  "Go Logrus!  You'll _always_ be the champ to
me, Logrus!"

Gabrielle whales on the Logrus where it's tendrils grip the cage. "WHO'S
YOUR DADDY? HUH?!? HUH?!??! SAY IT, BITCH!"

the Red Knight says, "I think it looks like my daughter is going to win
this one without throwing any planets, which is good, as it means I won't
have to spank her with a mountain range again."

Kuonji Ukyou says, "Weeeell, Cruel Carl, I think a tactical error was
made..."

Kanna giggles at that, despite herself.

Beowulf blinks. "You have an interesting family, kanna."

Kuonji Ukyou exclaims, "...TAUNTING THE LOGRUS!"

Kanna says, "Well, that's dad for you, Bey...."

Beowulf begins singing, "Why can't We Be Friends," quietly and off-key.

The Logrus is about to lose its grip, but then, Gabrielle's taunts seem to
ignite something in it.  "MY FATHER WAS THE PRIMAL POWER OF CHAOS ITSELF! 
YOU'RE NOTHING BUT A MACHINE. WHILE I AM THE GLORY OF A PRIMAL PRINCIPLE
OF CHAOS ITSELF!  AND I CAN OUTSCREW RAMON ANY DAY OF THE WEEK, AND IF HE
DOESN'T BELIEVE IT, HE CAN COME THROW DOWN WITH ME!"

And then the Cage suddenly reverses itself, turning sideways, so the
Logrus is now on top, and Gabrielle tumbles inside.

Kuonji Ukyou asks, "Can you smell... what the Logrus has mutating!?"

Ramon stares mindlessly.

Moriya says, "I'd like to edit this all out of my mind, but it'll just
come back when I walk the Pattern."

Ramon says weakly, "Where the hell did that came from?"

Motoko calls, "Don't throw down with the Logrus, Father!  It's sort of
your grandson!"

Davros . o O (Why did I ever leave my pillar?  Nothing like this EVER
happened there.)

Kanna carries Beowulf back the rest of the way to their seats, waiting for
the other shoe to drop.

Kanna . o O (The therapy bills from this are gonna be -gigantic-...)

Motoko suddenly turns around and throws her arms around Davros's neck.
"Isn't this exciting?" she gushes.

What follows, is, to sum it up, ugly.  The Logrus comes at Gabrielle in a
thousand different forms, howling with rage.  Gabrielle parries some
assaults, gets slammed around by others, and only barely avoids having her
face squeezed through the bars multiple times.

The Cage keeps rattling, and shifting and turning about.

Kanna watches, both fascinated and horrified.

Moriya just stares dumbly.

Anno looks very tense.

Davros says weakly, "Yes, it's very exciting, belove.  Unbelievably."

Kuonji Ukyou says, "What a reversal! The Logrus is enraged! It's pumped!
It is, in fact, much like it was before sundering the Avatar and
destroying half the universe! oh, bloody hell."

Motoko says, "I just hope it's over soon.  I'm feeling tired."

Beowulf winces as the shaking cage penetrates whatever zone he's off in.
"Oh, dear. I hope it holds."

Kanna's hands twitch at her sides.

The Red Knight says, "Well, this had BETTER not come out like that."

Kanna NODNODNODS in agreement with her father.

Kuonji Ukyou exclaims, "Yes, our sponsors might pull their ads!"

SLAM!  SLAM!  SLAM!!!!!

The Logrus levels a fist made out of lightning.  Gabrielle has been
forced back into a corner and then...

There's a *poof,* and suddenly Jacqueline is standing where Gabrielle was,
looking all battered and bleeding from cuts. "Ano..."

Kuonji Ukyou exclaims, "Aiyah! That's below the belt!"

There's a moment of awful silence.

Kanna -stares-.

Moriya asks, "We're all going to die, aren't we?"

Motoko says, "I love you, Davros."

The Red Knight says, "Well, this will either win it for Gabrielle, or
we're all going to die."

Kanna grips bey's hand tight.

Kuonji Ukyou says, "It was nice working with you, Cruel Carl."

Davros says, "I love you too, Motoko."  He grabs her and kisses her with
the kiss of someone who knows he is goign to die.

Beowulf asks, "Muh me mah go foo wha?"

Kanna murmurs a prayer to the Pyricorn and Serpent under her breath.

Motoko kisses back, very fiercely.

The Red Knight says, "You've been a good co-announcer, Kuonji.  A pity
we're all about to become paste."

You page, "[Kanna] ... i love you, lian.  been nice knowing you..." to

Kuonji Ukyou says, "But we did draw record ratings."

Beowulf murmurs, "wish I could have seen Lily one more time..."

Moriya asks, "Mitsune?"

And then the Jewel of Judgement appears, hanging before Jacqui, as the
Logrus stares in utter, total shock.  There is a massive burst of energy
that explodes from the Jewel, and the Logrus, still staring. is flung
right through the wall of the cage, crashing down into the open space
below.

Mitsune grabs Moriya for a big smooch.

Lily noogies Beowulf.  "I'm right here, silly."

Moriya says, "Yes, that's exactlymmmmmrph."

The Logrus falls to the ground.  For a moment, it just lies there.

Kuonji Ukyou rings the match bell. "Elimination by leaving the cage!"

Gabrielle turns back into Gabrielle.

Kanna has whatever comment she was about to say totally eliminated by that
last-moment turn of events.

Motoko keeps on kissing Davros, not quite sure the danger is past yet.

Beowulf...'s and HUGS Lily tightly.

Kuonji Ukyou says, "HOWEVER...."

Kanna . o O (Here it comes...)

The Logrus collapses in on itself, turning into a waifish looking woman
with long hair.

Kuonji Ukyou says, "The referees rule that the move was in incredibly bad
taste, thus violating fashion sense."

Kuonji Ukyou says, "Both wrestlers are disqualified. Draw match."

Kanna lets out the breath she was holding.

Gabrielle stares. "A -draw?!?!"

Kanna says,
"...serpentandpyricornthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou...."

Kuonji Ukyou asks, "But hey, this just means a rematch is sure to be in
the works, right Cruel Carl?"

Moriya finally separates from Mitsune, looking dizzy. "Ah. Okay. Mmmm. Is
it over yet? Are we dead?"

Motoko breaks away from Davros to take a deep breath, then looks over at
the Logrus.  She squeezes Davros's hand, then starts walking slowly and
rather unsteadily towards it.

Kanna -twitches-.

Anno blips down to the Logrus-woman, puts an arm around her shoulders,
whispers something, then they both vanish.

Beowulf just stares mindlessly before relaxing. Just a bit. "Oh. Um.
Good. Maybe. ...another one?"

Motoko stops walking and sighs.

Gabrielle collapses, rather comically. "Draw? Huzza? Wuzza? buh?"

Davros sits down, looking wobbily.  Mitsune says to Moriya, "We live."

Moriya says, "Oh. Good." He frowns. "Or maybe not. Because I'm still
going to remember everything that happened here."

Kanna asks, "... Let's not, and say we did?"

Motoko mutters, "Punk-ass bitch", then trudges back towards Davros and the
others.

Beowulf...'s. "I don't think we'll have any choice. Your sister had
better get the spanking of her life from your dad."

Kanna looks up at the state of her sister.  And her mother.  And her
dad.

Kanna says, "I'll hold her down."

The Red Knight says, "Well, that concludes this broadcast of the Primal
Power Wrestling Federation.  Looks like the Logrus won't be losing its
championship belt today, eh, Kuonji?"

Gabrielle sits on the cage and -stares-.

The Red Knight has the look of a man who must remain cheerful while the
Cameras are on him.

Kuonji Ukyou says, "Looks like it, thout it was a close run thing. But we
still have both poles of the universe, and I think we can all cheer about
that."

Moriya says, "Let's...let's...let's go to...help me out here, Mitsune."

Moonshade stands up.  "Hey, did I really fly around on a giant chicken, or
did I just dream that?"

Kanna mmmms.  "Going to go check on mom.  You've got trump, call me
later, but I don't think I'll be in Chaos tonight unless things bleed
off."

Lily leans on Beowulf.  "It was a clever move. But not very nice."

Motoko says, "Dream, Moonshade."

Moonshade says, "Good, good."

Kanna sighs, pats Beowulf on the shoulder, and heads up to the royal
boxes.

Motoko asks, "Does anyone else feel like getting intoxicated?"

Moriya raises his hand.

Moriya says, "But no Sipping Logrus."

Gabrielle forlornly catches the JoJ and tosses it to Tylor, then calls for
a microphone.

Kuonji Ukyou exclaims, "From World Tree Arena, this is Kuonji Inji and the
Red Knight saying so long, and good night!"

Davros says, "I don't think getting drunk woudl be very wise, but I'll
come with you to keep you company."

Tylor takes the Jewel and pockets it.  Someone brings Gabby a
microphone.

Beowulf nods to Kanna. "Catch you later." He turns to Lily. "Mwa? Go and
relax somewhere while I try to re-assemble my sanity?"

Motoko nods to Moriya.  "Good.  You stop me from doing it and I'll stop
you, because we've clearly used up all our good karma for surviving
disasters brought on by stupidity for several decades now."

Lily says, "Yes, I think that would be good."

Gabrielle says, "Thank you. *test two three* Ladies and Gentlemen, we
thank you for your time."

Motoko exclaims, "Booooooooooooo!"

Moriya pauses, and turns to face Gabrielle.

Beowulf scowls at Gabrielle, and hopes she learned some *sense* from
this.

Gabrielle says, "The concession stands will remain open for another
hour. Videos of the fight are available by special order from the PPWF. "

Kanna reaches her mom.  "... you oka---okay, dumb question," she
murmurs.  "can we hopefully avoid this for the next few millenia?"  She
looks at Gabrielle... and facepalms.

Moriya's face abruptly contorts into a really horrible expression of
fury as he then bellows, "CHEAP SHOT! BOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Moriya then goes back to a slightly shell-shocked normal state and turns
to Mitsune and Rimururu. "Let's go back to Gainax, or something."

Gabrielle says, "Their will be post-fight restaurants provided locally via
Trump Gate by Morgenstern- oh, shut up, Moriya. I've had a bad day- and
the Arena will be torn down tommorrow, so nobody stick around."

Beowulf asks, "Shall we head back to Gainax, dear?"

Motoko sighs.  "I'm going to home and talk to Grandmother. 
Face-to-face.  I'll be back at Gainax in time for the Great Assembly."

Morgenstern just stands nearby, with the look of someone who doesn't
know what to make of it all."

Gabrielle says, "If anybody needs me, I'll be in the tub. Thank you."

Kuonji Ukyou rips off his 'REFEREE' badge. "If I ever am asked to do
this again, I think I shall go have my intestines eaten by rabid weasels
instead." He glances at the Red Knight. "Drink?"

Lily smiles to Beowulf.  "Let's go."

Moriya sobers, looking at Motoko, and nods. "See you later, Motoko."

The Red Knight says, "Yes, I could use one."

Gabrielle disappears.

Kuonji Ukyou says, "Right, then. I'll buy."

Motoko flips out one of her Amber trumps.  "Anyone coming along for the
ride?" she asks forlornly.

Beowulf nods. "Yes. Let's. A bit of something to take care of down
south?"

Davros says, "I'll come with you." He takes Motoko's hand.

Moriya says, "Just a second, Davros."

Kanna arches an eybrow at her dad, and shakes her head with a sigh. 
"Ready to go, mom?"

Moriya moves over and whispers into Davros' ear.

Lily looks at Beowulf.  "Umm, what?"

Beowulf sighs. "I'm sorry. Let's head down to Gainax, all right?"

Motoko glances at Moonshade.  "How about you, Moonshade?  Amber is as good
a place to wait for Jacqui as any."

Moonshade says, "She isn't taking my trump calls, so sure."  She takes
Motoko's hand.

Moriya nods morosely to Moonshade and Davros, and goes back to rejoin the
group headed toward Chaos.

Motoko trumps back to Amber with Motoko and Davros.

Corrine nods to Kanna.  "Want a ride back to Ember with me?"

Kanna nods.  "Yeah, mom... I need to degauss for a bit."  She smiles
faintly.

She takes Kanna's hand and heads back to Ember.

Corrine says, "Well, that could have been much uglier than it was."  She
gives a great sigh of relief.  "It could have been MUCH worse."

Kanna looks like somebody who isn't quite sure how to parse everything
else.  "... yeah, a draw, and nobody's dead... but..." She shakes her
head.  "that was...." She shakes her head.

Kanna says, "Pyricorn and Serpent, mom, what the fuck got into sis to do
-that-?!?" She gestures ineffectually towards the place where the trump
gate was where they exited.

Corrine says, "A low blow.  Yes.  Because deep down in each of us,
there's things that come out when we feel pinned in a corner, and
there's nothing nice we can do to win."  She frowns at a memory.  "I'm not
very happy with her at all.  But compared to things she could have
done..."  She sighs.

Corrine says, "Jacqui is going to want to kill her."  She walks down the
hallway with you.  "It's not going to be pretty."

Kanna nods at that, rubbing her own throat at a memory of her own.  She
shrugs off her pack and swordbelt, and carries her gear over her shoulder.
 "Yes, yes, I know, mom... it could have been 'Much Worse'..." she winces,
closing her eyes.  "But I overheard during the pre-game that apparently
Jacqui and the Logrus had something... oh fuck."

Corrine blinks.  "What?"

Kanna says, "Given the way Moonshade was reacting... and how the Logrus
reacted... oh pyricorn.  Do you think the Logrus and Jacqui were
-dating-?!"

Kanna boggles slightly at the thought.

Kanna says, "I mean, now, it seems like she's got something with Thoric
and Mutsumi, and that's their business... but..." She sighs again, looking
tired.

think it would have stopped the Logrus to see Jacqueline."

Kanna mmms, and nods at that.  "Yeah." She shakes her head.  "Damn, the
fallout from this is going to be nasty.  And not just from Jacqui's end."

Corrine nods. "I know, I know.  Unfortunately."

Kanna rubs her brow with her free hand, looking frustrated.  "Wanna lay
bets somebody tomorrow's going to be exclaiming rather stridently to have
sis reprogrammed?"

Corrine says, "I suspect so, I'm afraid."

She says, "But there have been such outcries before."

Corrine says, "We will spend quite a while doing damage control."

Kanna nods.  "Yeah.  But this time we've got more folks -In- our family
who'd be doing so.  Never mind at this point, it's all rather moot anyway,
as she's evolved past programming, as far as -I- know, and I'm nowhere
near up on constructs as you are, mom." She manages a slight smile, but
fails.

Kanna nods, and looks down at her manifestation badge.  "And guess who
gets to be on the forefront of one of the damage control brigades?"  She
hrms, and looks up and over at her mom.  "... mom?"

Corrine says, "Yes, Kanna?"

Kanna asks, "... do you... do you ever regret building sis?"

Corrine says, "No more than I sometimes regret almost everything I've
done.  I don't think I've ever done anything important I didn't regret
sometimes.  But I love Gabrielle, even when I want to kill her.  Like
right now."

Kanna barks a short laugh at that, the corners of her lips quirking
upwards.  "Well, I suppose we could hunt sis down, and give her the
ritual spanking.  I'll even hold her down...."

manifestation of sis around will be like holding up a very big 'compain to
Kanna about her sister's thoughtlessness' target."

Kanna pinches the bridge of her nose.  "... dammit."

Kanna says, "I need a good long soak, Ruka giving me a back massage, and
something to help me forget all this, but I suspect I can only get one of
the three."

Corrine says, "I suspect most people may not be aware of your connection
to Gabrielle in Chaos, but yes, I wouldn't want to go down to Chaos for a
while, either."

Corrine says, "Well, I can certainly arrange the soak, but I'm not very
good at being Ruka."

Kanna chuckles slightly, blushes, and pats her mom on the shoulder. 
"No, only Ruka can be Ruka, mom..." She sighs.  "I still need to see
Uncle Miki for the Phoenix Egg, and Anno for the Knife, though.  Prolly
try to get that in the morning, -quickly-, and then bail.  And try to get
something for Anno-sama to -apologize- for all this..." She sighs.

Kanna says, "Soak.  Soak good."

Kanna considers her mom.  "You up for one, too?  You probably could use
it..." She purses her lips, slightly.

Corrine says, "I think that is an _excellent_ idea.  We have a very nice
jacuzzi.  Sometimes, it's good to be the Queen."

She heads for the baths with you.  "It's been quite a while since we
bathed together, I think."

Kanna chuckles.  "So you've told me, mom... lead on.  And yeah..." she
blushes.  "Way long..." She scratches her cheek with her free hand. "...
Hell, perhaps since I started wandering shadow?  Or before, even?"

Kanna says, "Can't even remember that far back, right now."

Corrine says, "Far too long.  There's just no substitute for a good
soak."  She trump calls a servent and has someone prepare the bath for
your arrival.

Corrine says, "Well, there is at least one little good bit of news from
all this."

Kanna nods.  "Yeah... had to have one in Gainax after sis and the Logrus
first started talking smack... they've got good hot springs.'"

Kanna blinks.

Kanna asks, "There -is-?"

Corrine says, "The City of Brass's representatives got lost and didn't
make it, so they weren't able to set up their giant Hiko and Juri effigies
they planned to burn during the show."

Corrine smiles just faintly.  "Such a pity they took the wrong turn."

Kanna -blinks- at that, and despite herself, starts giggling, leaning
against a wall.

Corrine says, "I can't imagine how the signs could possibly have gotten
moved."

Kanna says, "...okay... okay... that's a good one..." She giggles more.

Kanna gets in some good laughter, before finally standing up straight
again, brushing the collected tears from her eyes.

Kanna shakes her head.  "Whotta world, whatta world..."

You soon reach the baths, and strip down for a good scrubbing and soak.
Corrine says, "It's a crazy place, but it's what we have to work with. And
it does, at moments, have its nice bits."  She smiles a little and settles
into nice warm water.

Kanna hehs a bit at that, and sinks down into the warm water with a
long, contented groan.  "More hopefully the nice bits than the craziness
and badness, I'd think... oh pyricorn and serpent i needed this...."

Kanna leans back against the edge of the baths, sinking down to her
neck, having removed her headband and everything else save her ruby
ring, having dropped the rest of her gear on a bench near to the tub.

Kanna asks, "... how -you- holding up, mom?"

Corrine says, "I'm fine.  I'll probably be depressed and stressed in the
morning, but right now, I'm so happy the Universe didn't get destroyed,
that nothing else can touch me."

She says, "Gabrielle didn't do anything dangerous at all.  Stupid, yes.
But dangerous to the universe, no."

Kanna hehs softly at that.  "Right.  I will keep that in mind, and not ask
you for a raise in allowance in the morning."

Corrine laughs.  "Probably wise."

Kanna says, "... wasn't exactly what I was planning to -do- during the
vacation, but..."

Kanna sighs.

Corrine says, "We all need a vacation.  Maybe I'll come with you if you go
on one." She sighs.  "Although I should stay here and be good."

planning to do it in fast time, so we wouldn't lose much time out in the
rest of the universe.... on the other hand, Lian and I -were- kinda
thinking of it being private for her and me and Ruka and Thropan, and with
Bey and Lily coming in later... though, I suppose once we get eveyrthing
worked out, we could trump and grab you for a bit when the gradient's
really fast and..."

She says, "Oh, if you need some privacy, then never mind."

She says, "I should stay here anyway."

Kanna seems to have increased in blush through all this, and is now
scratching the back of her head.  "Well, we need privacy for -most- of it,
not -all- of it.  We were thinking of 'claiming' the place in Shadow,
kinda like Cousin Ramon's place, for others to eventually visit, but...
well, we'll see how it goes..."

Kanna says, "...but a stressed queen gets frazzled as well, y'know."

Kanna says, "...'f we luck out, we might even be able to synch up its time
gradient with Jade's... and I'd like to show it to you before everything
goes to heck."  She pauses.  "Further than it is now."

She nods.  "Have you ever claimed a shadow for yourself before?"

Kanna hehs a bit, sitting back.  "Actually have.  Prettu much by
accident... I was on Jade for 20 years, mom... and Lian was with me
there for ten of that... its 'ours' now, as is Earth-Realm and the
Retreat attached to it."  She smiles fondly at her memories on Jade.

Corrine says, "It's a lot of work, and takes a lot of living there, to
make it part of you.  But once you do, a part of you will always be
there."  She gazes off into the past, and remembers her Paris.

Kanna says, "I don't -control- control it, in that sense... I have no
desire to rule any of its spheres... but Lian and I can adjust the
gradient if need be... it was REALLY fast when I first got there, but we
got it synched to Amber-time..." She looks over at her mom, and moves over
to squeeze her mom's shoulder, or hug her, whichever she wants. "... yup. 
 Couldn't stand to leave it fully... hell, Lian found -Love- there, and
that's not something you can get just anywhere..."  Her voice catches a
bit...

Corrine says softly, "I know.  Love is to be found in the strangest
places."

Kanna blushes at that.  "... yeah.  definitely.  springing up when you
least suspect it..."  She considers things for a moment... considers the
place they're in, and who she's with, and figures there's a special
dispensation for talking to your mother about things like this.

Kanna says, quietly, "... I'm in Love with Ruka... been so for a while,
now... 'n..." She worries at her lower lip.  "... I'm in Love with Lian,
too."  She looks up at her mother, not sure how she's going to take this.

that's part of the reason for the vacation, so we can discuss this as

further than they are right now, as I don't want to hurt him."

Corrine says softly, "Good.  I...ahahah.  Ahahahaha."  She has the look of
someone about to just go to total boggle mode, but then she gets a grip. 
"Good.  I'm glad to see you're thinking rationally about all this."

Kanna says, "But... I want him as a part of my life.  I want to -be-
with him, to be a part of his life too..."

Kanna says, "I just want Lian to be a part of that, too." She quirks a
slight smile, and moves to take her mom's hand.  "Oh, believe me, once I
got past the internal angsting mode, I couldn't but help be rational about
it."

Kanna says, "You just have a sun go nova on you, and it makes you
reevaluate your priorities in life -right- quick."

Kanna says, "Will things go further?  I don't know." She shrugs.  "Do I
-want- it to?  I'm still waffling.  I just know who I care for, deep in my
heart, deeper than perhaps anybody else in the universe, past even
hyper-close family and friends."

Corrine says, "Just...be careful, daughter.  I don't want to see you get
hurt.  Or Lian. It is very hard to be sure of your heart."

Kanna nods, murmuring quietly, rubbing her throat absently.  "... oh

Kanna nods.  "again, part of the reason for the vacation.  to see where we
stand on all this."

"... we will see, I suppose," Kanna comments quietly.

Corrine nods.  "Good luck.  Pyricorn guide you.  Unicorn bless you." She
shakes her head.  "Well, now I understand why you didn't want me along."

Kanna hehs a bit, softly.  "... it wasn't because I didn't want you
around cold turkey, but... yes, having the momma unit around would
probably complicate things." She quirks a slight smile, sadly.

Kanna moves over, and hugs her mom.  To heck with it.

Kanna says, "... sorry 'bout dropping it cold turkey on you like that,
mom, specially right after that debacle, but part of me figured you could
use some nominally uplifting news but..."

Corrine says, "Well, compared to...ummm...stay away from squid," she
mumbles.

Kanna arches her eyebrows.  "... beleive me, mom, squid isn't exactly on
my short list of things to eat or encounter."

Kanna lets one eyebrow fall.  "Ah... right."

Kanna laughs suddenly, flopping back in the water.  "... good pyricorn and
serpent, mom.. you know how long I've wanted to tell you this?  And I'm
not getting smited by you for it?" She quirks a smile..  "Y'know, being
honest with oneself is hard, but -damn- does it pay off in relief of
stress in the end."

Corrine says, "It just...well, the last time he came, was in the middle of
a crisis, and while I can't think of any reason for him to..."  She
pauses.  "Those who live in glass houses, shouldn't throw stones."

Kanna hrms?  "Mom?  You're not making sense here."

Corrine blushes.  "I'll just say that I've been in some strange
situations myself."

Kanna blinks at that, ahhhhs, nods, and squeezes her mom's hand.

Kanna says, "You don't have to talk about it if y' don't want to, mom."

Kanna says, "You've always respected my privacy... and I've done the
same."  She smiles slightly.

Kanna says, "Like I said earlier today... you're the best mom and queen a
daughter could ever have."

She smiles.  "Thank you, daughter.  And you're a wonderful daughter.
Please don't ever wrestle the Logrus."

Kanna chuckles, and hugs her mom.  "Mom?  If I ever get such an idea in my
head, I fully expect dad to grab me bodily and spank me until I can't sit
down for a month.  And as much as I may be able to take pain... there
-are- limits." She winks.

Corrine laughs.  "Don't worry, I will."  She shakes her head.  "But I know
you won't do that."

Kanna smiles, and lets go.  "No, I'm saner, thank the pyricorn.  No, I
just have Herald Candidates and Outsiders and Kuonji's to worry 'bout..."
She hrms.  "Y'know, it -was- weird she showed up there at the match..."
She shrugs.

She says, "As a referee chosen by the Logrus no less."  Corrine shakes her
head.  "How strange."

Kanna nods.  "Well, we've got various and sundry suspicions she's a kid of
Annadil's, but other than that..." She shrugs.

Corrine says, "He was the Lion.  The Logrus called her the Lion.  She must
be Annadil's daughter."

Kanna hrms.  "As good a theory as any.  I think Bey mentioned that Anno
had reffered to her as one of his grandkids, which helps add weight to
that."

Kanna says, "'course, this just poses more questions than answers the more
we think about her, so I'm trying not to." She quirks a smile.
