John says, "OOC We don't have Lian, but we'll have to get by without her." ====== ====== Jaqueline approaches the camp, clearly dreading running into Kozue Kanna heads back with the group. "Well, the Gaunt Man's playpen and the Gaunt Man himself are no longer there." Beowulf follows along, looking tired and bemused. Drake and Kozue are havign a big argument about Magnus the Unseen as you come in. Jaqueline makes herself as not-noticable-to-kozue as possible Kanna says, "Instead, we've got some sort of Temporal Black Hole.... oh good pyricorn." Beowulf tries to gather the substance of their argument before stepping in. "First you steal it from me, then you LOSE IT!" Kozue shouts. Drake says, "You're the one who freaked out and tried to kill everyone with it!" Gabrielle shakes her head. "Baggage from the Crisis," she whispers to Kanna. Kanna nods to Gabrielle. *q* "...somehow, I figured." She sighs. They then progress to yelling at eah other about everything annoying either of them has ever done. Touga sits and watches, amused. Most of the others are off trying to ignore the fight. ======== ======== You page, "Given Drake's warkskillze and Kozue's mindskillz, best to just let this bleed off?" to Akemi. You page, "Figgered." to Akemi. ======= ======= Beowulf walks up to the two. "Um... Aunt? Uncle?" He looks around at the area. "Granted that things are stable now, but I really don't think this is the place..." Jaqueline looks for a nice tree to hide behind or- ah, there's Aunt Kanna. Beowulf says, "Especially since there appears to be a rather unusual temporal anomaly in the area." Kanna checks on the state of the others, ready to have her sister trumpgate 'em back to Amber once they're all together, for a nice set of patternwalks and stuff to clean de brains. Utena and Wakaba are off under a tree, talking to Moonshade. Kozue stares at Beowulf. If looks could kill, he'd be lying on the floor. Drake says, "Temporal Anomaly?" Jaqueline makes her way from Kanna to cover, trying to make her way to gramma without being noticed by kozue, though uncle wulf is doing a great job as a distraction Beowulf looks sorrowful, but stands his ground. "Yes... the area around where the construct was is currently surrounded by a rather impervious slow-time field." Kanna politely tugs on Bey's sleeve. "Lian did an analysis... the area around it is a sort of, well... Temporal Black Hole. Not sure exactly WHY it came to be, but the shadows get progressively slower timed." Beowulf blinks, looking back and forth between the two. "Um... I'm sorry, but I appear to be getting a trump call; could you excuse me for a moment?" Gabrielle says, "It's actually a pretty GOOD thing, really. Anything trying to crawl out of it will take thousands of years to." Kozue spots Jacqui and beelines for her. Kanna says, "Right. She pauses, and looks at Bey." Jaqueline notices Kozue noticing Jacqui and starts running in the opposite direction Drake says, "Okay." Kozue runs after her. Kanna asks, "Oh dear. 'scuse? Lily? Mitsune? Be ready to back bey up?" Lily and Mitsune rise to meet him. Jaqueline makes a beeline straight for Gramma Kanna heads with to try and prevent smitage. Gabrielle watches the imminent collision of Jacqui and Kozue, and smiles benignly. Jacqui reaches Utena, who says to Jacqui, "Hi, Jacqui. This is your half-sister, Moonshade." Moonshade looks Jacqui and Kozue up and down. Jaqueline experiences mental train wreck. Jaqueline asks, "I ah.. wha... blow up?" Kanna exclaims, "Hey, HEY! JAcqui did NOT blow up the zeppelin!" Jaqueline exclaims, "I-I-I didn't do anything!" Moonshade just watches, her expression blank. Kozue says, "This has to be your fault! It's always your fault!" Jaqueline exclaims, "I-I'msorry!" She says, "You're the biggest sort of fault that ever was!" Jaqueline cringes quite clearly with each word Utena stands. "Let go of my granddaughter." She stares at Kozue. Kanna sighs, and tries seperating the two. Kozue says, "We nearly all died because you and incompetent granddaughter and your worthless sister ended up as pawns of evil AGAIN!" Kanna easily shoves Kozue back. Jaqueline squeaks, "I'mreallysorry." Utena winces at that. "Okay, psychic combat isn't my strong point." Kanna OOCly says, "as had connectivity fun. again." ====== ====== Beowulf tosses an acid ball at the gatling gun that shows through the trump connection, and yells out, "Bad trump, gatling gun, everyone DOWN!" Kanna -STARES-. "SIS, BLOCK IT!" Jaqueline edges away from Kozue to Utena's side... well... kind of behind Utena....then DUCKS Gabrielle shouts a few words and guestures at the Trump connection. Kanna gets everybody down, FAST. Many people hit the deck. Gabrielle casually gestures and the trump connection to Beowulf crashes. Gabrielle grins. "l33t." Kanna gets up once the coast looks clear. "BeY? What *IS* it with you and Trump Calls these days?" Beowulf looks over at Gabrielle. "Well, that was interesting. I'm afraid I'm but an egg at this... any chance of tracing it?" Beowulf says, "Well, it was just the one where Alars tried to spit me... the rest have been relatively benign." He looks over at Mother and Aunt Utena. "Or... rather more than that." He walks over and hugs Wakaba. "I'm sorry for doubting you." Wakaba hugs you back and sighs. "I forgive you." Kanna says, "Yes, but Gatling Guns aren't your normal trump accessory." Beowulf asks, "Hm, *another* trump contact. Gabrielle, can you trace it, or would I need to take it?" Gabrielle cocks her head for a second. "Moriya. I assume so; he's the only one I can feel using a trump right now." Gabrielle says, "Unless Harad City is trumping you." Beowulf asks, "...right." He quickly moves a bit away from everyone else, just in case. "Let's try this again, shall we?" It is Moriya. Kanna says, "Well, that'd be odd in the extreme..." She looks rueful. Beowulf takes the call. "Ah, nephew. You wouldn't happen to know was trying to trump me with a gatling gun a moment ago, would you?" Moriya blinks. "I was wondering if you were going to pick up, Uncle Beowulf." He stares blankly. "Er...no. all I know is that you'd pulled it off." He smiles. "I just heard from King Tylor." Kanna sighs, looking up at the sky. "Whoatta day, whotta day, whotta day. And it ain't even -done- yet, whee." Kanna hrms, and glances over at Shinobu M. "Oh, hey, you doing okay, too?" Beowulf says, "Ah. Well, 'twas just a thought. Yes, everyone is here, and the construct and the man who built it appear to be gone, though there's a bit of a question about the construct, and a few of us had a rather rough time of it." Shinobu Minor says, "Oh, I'm fine. Just embarrassed." Gabrielle blinks. "At what, dear?" Shinobu Minor says, "I spent the whole battle unconscious." Moriya nods. "I didn't hear all the details, although...." He trails off, hesitant. "Hm. Mind pulling me through? Anno-sama's given me a trump of Gainax's courtyard, so I can go back there once I'm done speaking with you folks." Beowulf says, "I don't have any problem with it, no... hang on." He pulls Moriya through. ===== ===== Jaqueline asks, "OOCly where is wakaba in relation to me?" ===== ===== Gabrielle says, "Oh, that wasn't your fault. You got a sleep spell laid on you. " Moriya steps through the trump connection, and looks around. He sees Jaqcui, Utena, and Wakaba, and smiles brightly. "You're safe. I'm glad." Kanna hehs a bit. "-I- still feel a bit guilty at that. At least you kicked ass what with the ninjas and the werewolves." Jaqueline smiles nervously and waves at Moriya Kanna grins, and stands. "Oi! MORIYA! Props t' -you-!" She grins. Moriya nods to Jacqueline, looking much less irritated at her than the last time. Then he blinks at Kanna. "Hm? You've already heard about Demogorgon?" Jaqueline very subtly leads Gramma away from Kozue. "So, um, gramma, you're feeling okay now?" Utena nods to Jacqui. "I feel fine now. I could use some rest, though." Kanna blinks. "No, That I hadn't heard... Demogorgon? I meant kicking the Cyberpope's ass..." Jaqueline laughs nervously. "I know the feeling." Kozue begins yelling at Wakaba, having been deprived of handy Jacqui target. Beowulf smiles ruefully at Moriya. "Oh, yes, memo to family -- Outsider construct bashing is *always* going to be harder than you think." Moriya laughs softly. "Oh, that. It was the potato and quite a bit of luck, actually." He bows. "But thank you. Demogorgon...is a long story. An old horror come back to haunt Chaos, with an extra bit of nastiness" He sags slightly. "Many, many brave warriors died because of...a stupid whim, really." Gabrielle sighs and walks over to defuse Kozue, because darnit, she likes Wakaba. Wakaba is now yelling back, and basically telling Kozue she's an incestous crack whore, or something to that extent. Jaqueline says, "ara...." Moriya shakes his head. "I feel guilty, how Motoko, Davros-san, and I came out of it completely unscathed, but...." A sigh. "I'd rather not linger on that." Utena calls Moonshade over. "Jacqueline, this is your half-sister, Moonshade. Ota was her father by the goddess Nienna." Jaqueline feels the train-wreck repeat looming Beowulf looks at Moriya. "I understand..." He lifts an eyebrow wistfully. "Ghu, but I understand... still, if there any tactical lessons to be learned, perhaps we should learn a bit more." Jaqueline asks, "She's what?" Moonshade says, "Our father the slut had his way with my mother, then left her behind to cry for the last few thousand years." Moriya nods. "Indeed," he answers, quietly. Then shakes his head once more, and looks around. "You say that some had a rough time of this last attack, hm?" Jaqueline frets angrily. "Dad wasn't a slut!" "As far as I can tell, if it moved, he had sex with it," Moonshade says. ====== ====== Kanna OOCly says, "hold a sec." Kanna OOCly says, "as connectivity fun AGAIN." Beowulf OOCly waits. Nagisa OOCly chuckles. ====== ====== Kanna looks at the Wakaba/Utena/Jacqui/Moonshade/Gabrielle/Etc thing and shakes her head and sighs. "And yeah... it was relatively smooth sailing until we got within the construct's range... and looking back, he had the spikard of -dreams-... well, fuck." She sighs. "The next time we do this, we back up the zepellin OUTSIDE the range. Or go back to ground once it's safe. Argle." Beowulf looks embarrassed. "Well, on the way to it, yes. We got further than I'd imagined overnight, got caught with 3/4 of the group asleep, had the zep dispelled out from under us, and the contingency plans I'd put in place for that didn't work." Kanna looks at Moriya. "We went into Bey's zepplein, and once we got into place, it got dispelled." Moriya snorts. "That's...not an auspicious start to an attack," he says, nonplussed. Beowulf says, "So most of the group plummeted to the ground... thankfully, from treetop height, and no one got *killed*. Though we ended up fighting someone with a patternblade *again*." Kanna says, "We survived with no deaths, though. CAsulties, yes." She winces, and looks... tired. "We did survive, though." ===== ===== John lags. ===== ===== Kanna nods. "Guy plugged into construct with Aunt Utena's skill up against Uncle Drake." Beowulf says, "...and yes, far too many people came 'way too close to death." He sighs sadly. Kanna shudders, and nods to Bey. Moriya nods again, and starts walking around. "I heard about that," he says, a bit softly, and finds himself standing in front of Mitsune. "Hmm?" Jaqueline says, "Dad... dad's dead.... he's not even here to defend himself.... and you're saying mean things like this...." She clutches a fist, which trembles. Kanna says, "I'd want a vacation, but Lian's likely to pull me in on taking out ANOTHER construct... and then there's the one this Pharoah Mobius has, and whoever sent the ninjas after sumire.... Eyargh." Kanna exclaims, "And I don't even have a date for Marches!" Moriya folds his arms and looks at her. "Didn't we say something about being more careful?" he asks, a bit sternly. Kanna throws up her hands. "If I'm even gonna BE in Amber for that..." Beowulf smiles tiredly. "Construct destructions 'r us, can we help you?" Mitsune says, "He was going to be impaled. I didn't have much of a choice." She smiles weakly at you. "What a way you have of saying hello." Beowulf looks over at Gabrielle. "Sorry, *Evil* Construct destructions." Gabrielle waves a hand. "It's all good." Moriya sighs. "Dammit, Mitsune, you know what I hate? Having yet another person to have to worry about." Moonshade says, "And then he went and died before I could kick his ass to the moon." Jaqueline looks like she's actually going to blow her temper, but then deflates sadly and walks away. "I.... nice to meet you." Gabrielle says, "Well, Marches is coming up soon, Kanna. That's always fun." Utena says, "Moonshade...." in a warning tone. Beowulf says, "Um, Mitsune, you *really* don't have to take risks like that for my sake. If I get spitted, I get spitted; not worth you risking your life like that." He shudders. Gabrielle says, "Keiko can take us shopping for dresses we've seen but not yet purchased." Moonshade frowns. "Look, kid, I don't mean to rain on your parade. But you...I'm sorry, okay?" Kanna chuckles a bit at that, somewhat distracted, as she's trying to watch both the JAcqui/Moonshade byplay and the Moriya/Mitsune byplay. Mitsune says, "Oh, Lily would kick my ass if I let you die, Beowulf." Lily says, "I couldn't bear to see you die either, Mitsune." Jaqueline pauses, looking bitter. She turns around to Moonshade and holds out a hand. Moriya chuckles softly. "I wouldn't be very happy with that, either." Moonshade takes the hand and shakes it. "He's gone, but we're still here." Beowulf asks, "Maybe. *I'd* kick my ass if you died trying to save me. And I couldn't stand what it'd do to Lily... or me. OK?" Kanna asks, "A family of mutual kickassing, then?" Moriya says, "And in the end, well...I heard you turned it into quite an advantage for the party." Beowulf shakes his head and chuckles ruefully. "I suppose so." Kanna says, "Pyricorn knows we get plenty of practice..." Mitsune smiles. "Easy way to disarm someone. Let them impale you, grab, move, take it." She rubs her stomach. 'Although it's a bit harder with a Patternblade." Moriya reaches a hand out, places it on Mitsune's shoulder. "So I would imagine. You did well." He smiles. Kanna says, "Just be sure you don't go up like a roman candle when you -do- it. Thank Pyricorn we had sis on hand..." Beowulf frowns. "Assuming you survive being impaled... well." He smiles, and gives her a pat on the other shoulder. "Past is past... just *try* not to give us any more heart attacks, OK?" Moriya slowly, slowly looks over his shoulder at everyone else, looking a bit...uncertain. "Hmm...." Jaqueline's grip on Moonshade's hand tightens Gabrielle says, "Oh, Moriya, I understand I owe you and Motoko one." Mitsune puts her hand up to hold Moriya's. "I'll do my best, Beowulf." Beowulf feels a need for comfort and puts an arm around Lily. Moriya blinks at Gabrielle. "You do?" He accepts Mitsune's hand and squeezes it gently. Lily puts an arm around Beowulf as well, resting her head on his shoulder. She takes Mitsune's other hand for a moment. "Thank you, sister," she says, then squeezes and lets go. Gabrielle says, "Yes, they tell me you two brought my daughter home form Chaos." She beams. Moriya stares at Gabrielle, then blinks. "Oh. So it's true. Shinobu Minor _is_ your daughter." He grins. "I believe I've won a bet." Beowulf smiles over at Lily. "Are you going to be happy or nervous if I say I'm starting to think of her as a younger sister?" Kanna just leans back a bit, a bemused smile on her face, as she waits to see the reactions to -that- little nugget. Jaqueline lets go of Moonshade's hand, wiping tears away, and walks off to a less crowded part of the camp. Gabrielle blinks. "People were BETTING on it?" Moonshade quietly watches her go, looking confused. Shinobu Minor goes over to Jacqui. Moriya hesitates. "Er." Moriya coughs, and quickly turns back to Mitsune. "So, I was thinking...you're right, I didn't say hello properly." Mitsune says, "That's Moriya, our gambling fool." She smiles. "So, going to say hello the right way now?" Jaqueline hugs Shinobu and weeps silently Gabrielle asks, "Who was running the book? It was Saionji, wans't it?" Shinobu Minor hugs Jacqueline tightly. Kanna looks wry at her sister. "Well, given how much you and Cousin Nagisa hung out, SOME people might've suspected...." Moriya says, "Yes." He grins again, sweeps Mitsune into his arms, and kisses her. Really kisses her. Kanna looks over at Shinobu M and Jacqui, and sighs. And then BLINKS at Moriya and Mitsune in Liplock. Beowulf's eyes widen. "...Well." Kanna does the only thing she can do in such a circumstance. Kanna cheers them on. Lily blows a wolfwhistle and grins. Gabrielle blushes. "Well, most of our 'hanging' out was..." blink. Stare. "... well, like that, actually. Only not that we could do in public." Kanna pumps her fist in the air. "YOU GO! YOU *GO!*" Kanna says, "Now you can catch up and make up for lost time, sis." Moriya does not answer, as he's a little busy right now. Beowulf looks over at Lily and whispers. "All right, we're taking care of her... who are we going to get to take care of *him*?" Lily whispers back, "Oh, I think they'll take good care of each other between itching powder bouts." Beowulf snerks. Mitsune snuggles up very close to Moriya, and looks quite pleased. Beowulf whispers back, "Hm. I wonder who we should give pointers to in those bouts..." After a few minutes, Moriya straightens up and lets Mitsune go. "Hello," he says, simply. "Is that better?" Gabrielle says, "Funny, I always kinda thought he and Motoko had a thing going." Kozue mutters something about the whole family being exhibitionists. Touga then kindly puts a bucket over her head so she won't have to watch. Beowulf chuckles and applauds. Moriya freezes, overhearing Gabrielle. He looks at her. Just...looks at her. But for just a moment. Kanna leans to Gabrielle. *whispered* "I think that's a 'no', sis." Jaqueline, distracted by the whoops and cheers, looks to see what everyone's noticing, sees Moriya and Mitsune, and cheers up slightly. Gabrielle whispers back. "Chyuh. I mean, I'm still surprised. I mean, Kitsune and Moriya?" Beowulf whispers to Lily, "Well, those two seem to have each other in hand... literally..." He grins. "Shall we go help defuse other conflicts?" Gabrielle says, "I don't think he's ever had one woman in his life. And Kitsune's had, like, five." Moriya keeps an arm around Mitsune's waist and glances around. "What? You've never seen a guy kiss Mitsune before?" he asks, innocently. Kanna whispers. *q* "Okay, I'll admit it's a surprise. But hey, if they're happy, who'm -I- to complain?" She looks wistful. Jaqueline tosses minor harmless fireworks above moriya and mitsune Kozue takes the bucket off her head and puts it over Touga's head. They then start chasing each other around. Beowulf grins slightly at the Kozue/Touga byplay... mostly harmless teasing, does it appear? ========= ========= Kanna OOCly says, "Ohhhh, for a camera." Beowulf OOCly reaches into the bag, pulls out a wind-up 8 mm movie camera, and tosses it to Kanna. Kanna OOCly records this happy moment! ========= ========= Moriya frowns, and comments, "They seem so surprised," to Mitsune. Shinobu Minor smiles. Mitsune says, "I think they remember the gates incident." Kanna says, "Anyway, congrats you both." Lily says, "Has she done the seven veils dance for you yet?" She grins. Kanna says, "... seven... veils... dance." Jaqueline says, "thanks, Shinobu-chan. I'm glad you're here." Kanna arches an eyebrow at -that-. Beowulf cocks an eyebrow at Mitsune. "Yes, I was wondering about the gates incident." Mitsune says, "No, although I did teach it to a princess of Amber who will remain nameless." Gabrielle blushes. "That dance is banned in eight shadows!" Moriya glances at Mitsune. "So do I, now. I think I will have to write you a poem to repay that." He pauses, and looks at Lily. "Mmmm...no, she hasn't," he answers, slowly. Gabrielle asks, "I mean... what dance?" Jaqueline briefly and warily looks to see what Moonshade is doing Beowulf raises an eyebrow at Gabrielle, now. Moonshade is watching everyone in a mournful sort of way. Kanna mmms? And heads over to moonshade. Mitsune says, "Have YOU done it for Beowulf yet, sister?" Lily says, "Not yet." Jaqueline decides she needs a little flight to clear her head, and invites Shinobu along Beowulf goes over to give Moonshade a quick hug. "I know, niece... but you're just as much a part of this family as the rest of us." He smiles. "You'll get used to it after a while. Trust me, I know." Shinobu sprouts wings from her back. "Let's go!" Gabrielle beams with pride. Jaqueline casts a flight spell and leisurely flies above the family Shinobu Minor follows her skywards. Jaqueline looks at Shinobu's wings curiously. "Is that magic or shapeshifting?" Kanna says, "We're weirdoes, but we're good weirdoes." Moriya sighs softly. "At any rate, I should be going back to Gainax soon. We have a few things to discuss with Anno-sama, and...in two days, there's going to be a memorial service for those killed by Demogorgon. Motoko will speak there, in her capacity as Bride of the Dragon." Mitsune says, "Just make sure she doesn't do the dance for them." Beowulf says, "Mother raised me off in Shadow by myself..." He smiles over at Wakaba. "It was for the best, I'm sure, but it was a bit confusing arriving in Amber and suddenly discovering I had an extended family." He shakes his head, smiling. "A *very* extended family." Jaqueline seems to clumsily hit the brakes in midair. "MOTOKO'S MARRYING A DRAGON!??!!" Kanna exclaims, "NO SHE ISN'T!" Moriya pauses, and looks at Mitsune. "Who doesn't do the dance?" he asks, very slowly. Kanna glances at Moriya. "She isn't, right?" Shinobu Minor says, "Shapeshifting." Gabrielle blinks. "Motoko's a religious icon now? Huzzahwah?" Mitsune suddenly turns red. "You just imagined me saying that." She makes hypnosis gestures at Moriya. Jaqueline looks at Moriya, boggled. Kanna says, "Oh yeah, that I'd heard from Bey." Moonshade says, "Well, I grew up in a big family. Without a father." Beowulf says, "Um, yes; she appears to be a Chaosian religious figure, now." Kanna says, "Something to do with them spacking Yog-Sothoth." Moriya narrows his eyes at Mitsune, then looks at the others. And hesitates. "It's...a bit complicated," he says. "I don't think she'll...really...be marrying the Serpent of Chaos...but...." Shake of the head. "As I said, it's complicated." Jaqueline shakes her head and resumes her flight. "These are strange days, Shinobu-chan.... Motoko's marrying a serpent." Kanna says, "During the Ebenscruz thingie." Beowulf says, "So did I, niece." He sighs. "He was lost before I was born, Mother said." Shinobu Minor says, "The Serpent of Chaos? She's marrying the serpent???" Jaqueline says, "that's what Moriya said." Mitsune says, "Man, he must have been watching..." Moriya asks, "Mitsune, what are you talking about?" Beowulf blinks. "I'd gathered Bride of the Dragon was a ceremonial position... was I wrong?" "I'm certainly not talking about how I helped...nothing. I did nothing, I saw nothing, and it had nothing to do with anyone at all or a red dress or anything." Moriya valiantly tries to ignore Jacqui. Moriya stares at Mitsune. ======= ======= Kanna OOCly says, "This is one of those weird party conversations where folks are all over and conversation fragments keep going flipping about..." Beowulf says, "OOC Apparently so, Kanna. o.o" ======= ======= Shinobu soars upwards, then dives downwards, spinning about you. "They always seemed like good friends to me." Beowulf boggles a bit at Mitsune, as this is the first time he's actually seen her flustered. Kanna remembers THIS for posterity. Jaqueline says, "ooh, that's neat... I wanna try that." She soars upwards, then dives downwards, but dives a tad lower, zooming above Kanna & Co. by a yard before rising back up to Shinobu Moonshadow nods to Beowulf. "I ended up spending a lot of time with Uncle Tulkas, as I eventually couldn't take Mother being depressed all the time." "Why, Mitsune," Moriya says, dryly, "are you blushing?" Jaqueline looks at Moonshade again and sighs. "Shinobu-chan.... did anyone tell you about my half-sister?" Kanna comments to Beowulf, "The Valar War-Leader", before making sure they don't get clipped by Jacqui. Beet-Red Mitsune says, "I am not blushing. That guy must be a eunuch or something, but I'm not blushing." Beowulf smiles sadly at Moonshadow. "Mother was gone for a lot of the time, when I was growing up... then she vanished and didn't come back when I was about 16 years old. I thought she was dead, and didn't see her for several years after that." She points behind Moriya. "Look, trees! Lots of trees. You like wood, right? Moriya turns slightly and looks at everyone else. "She's blushing. I swore I'd make her blush sometime, and look how easily it happened, hmm?" He looks back to her, grinning. Mitsune looks relieved. "Okay, maybe I'm blushing a little." Jaqueline says, "so.... I guess she can't be all that bad." Beowulf says, "What, Mitsune... relieved because he won't be trying harder?" He reflects on his past history of practical joke wars with her, and grins. "Perhaps I ought to give him a few tips from our little skirmishes..." Moriya gently pats her cheek. "Well, I'll learn the full truth of this, eventually. I suppose I can't claim full credit for this, since I don't know what it's really about, yet." Shinobu Minor says, "Grandma says she is like your father would ahve been if he was a woman." ===== ===== Beowulf OOCly winces at that. ===== ===== Jaqueline turns to Shinobu conspiratorially. "She was saying bad things about dad. I really wanted to zap her for that." Mitsune says, "Well, I promised Motoko I wouldn't tell anyone, so that's closed." Mitsune . o O (Damn me to hell) Moriya says, "Ah. So it _is_ about Motoko." Moriya smiles, a slow smile. Jaqueline says, "but... maybe I should try to get along with her." Mitsune says, "Ahahahaha." Moriya says, "You're oddly cute when you're babbling." Shinobu Minor whispers, "She likes cookies." Jaqueline says, "she.... oh." Beowulf looks down at Moonshade to see how she's taking all this byplay. Moriya chuckles softly. Then he snaps his fingers and finally changes the subject so that Mitsune doesn't crawl beneath a rock and die. "Right...I have to go back to Gainax shortly, but--someone mentioned Marching, didn't they?" Jaqueline leisurely flies around, eventually circling moonshade and looking down at her curiously Gabrielle asks, "That'd be me. What?" Mitsune says, "I might possibly have taught the Dance of the Seven Veils to someone, who might possibly have been a woman whose name started with the letter M, but since she's...Yes, Marching is coming up." She seems relieved. Kanna looks rueful, and checks over the rest of those assembled. "So, hm. We've gotta be getting back to Amber to get our brains nice and cleaned and psychic waxed from walkign the Pattern... And yeah, Marching is in about ... a week or so.. Mebby a little longer." Jaqueline flies back to Shinobu. "Um.... get ready to help if this gets ugly." Moonshade looks up at Jacqi. Moriya asks, "Well, then. Provided we aren't caught up in yet another quest by then, would you accompany me to the ball, Mitsune?" Jaqueline floats down to Moonshade, a neutral look on her face, then walks over to Moonshade and looks her in the eye. "Let's... try this again. Hi, I'm Jacqueline." Mitsune grins. "I'd love to. You'd better wear something better for dancing than your pimp pants, though." Kanna grins at that. Moonshade blinks, then nods. "I am Moonshade." Beowulf smiles encouragingly at Jacqui and Moonshade. Moriya scowls. "Hakama are not pimp pants. They're perfect for martial arts." Beowulf says, "Pimp pants?" He looks over at Mitsune. "I'm going to have to hear *this* story." Jaqueline smiles, just slightly and holds out her hand in a more friendly manner than last time. "Nice to meet you.... sister." Gabrielle snaps her fingers. "I need to get that matching suit and dress made for me and Nagisa made." She rubs her hands together. "I've been waiting DECADES to take him out in public." Moriya eyes Beowulf. "She is talking about my hakama pants," he says, gesturing to his clothing. Mitsune bends her leg around and touches the top of her head with her foot. "Can you do that in those pants?" Kanna looks rueful. Kanna says, "I need a date." Gabrielle glances at the dynamic duo of Touga and Kozue. "His mother took it way better than I thought... mm, Kanna?" Moriya kicks and touches his forehead with his toe. "Something approximating that, yes." Kozue comes over to Kanna. "You need a date? Hmm, I know someone who might be interested." Mitsune grins. "Limber. Very nice." Beowulf looks over at M^2 Mark II. "Um, right." Kanna raises an eyebrow at that. "Well, it'd be appreciated, sure... dunno if I'll be AROUND for marches, as we've got a Heart of Ice to melt, but who you thinking of, Aunt Kozue?" Moonshade shakes Jaqui's hand. "Nice to meet you, sister." Moriya eyes Mitsune again, but declines to comment on that. "Anyway. Yes, I will be wearing something more appropriate for the occasion. Hmm. I do recall that you look pretty good in a kimono." Jaqueline says, "want to join me and shinobu-chan? flying's neat." Beowulf says, "I thought it might have been something about the night down in Chaos when you and Mitsune went missing, but..." Moriya chuckles. "She kidnapped me and forced me to go on a date with her. I must admit, it did take my mind off of...less pleasant things." Mitsune winks. "I look good in anything or nothing at all." Beowulf smiles at Moriya, then rolls his eyes at Mitsune's words. "Uh-huh. Nephew, I think I'm actually going to be *glad* to have you riding herd on her now." He smiles again to take the sting out of his words. Moriya coughs. "Mmm. Right. Well, let's try 'something' this time. I'll be sure to be in Amber at least a day or two before the ball. I think we've earned ourself a vacation for at least this." Beowulf raises both eyebrows at Moriya. "*This* time?" Mitsune nods. "Good. Mother will want to dress you up, I suspect." She smiles. Moriya shakes his head, wincing at the memory. "Let's not bring that up." Beowulf says, "Like she did Lily for our little jaunt to Talislanta?" He pulls out a raincoat and hands it to Moriya. Moonshade says, "Sure, Jacqueline." Moriya stares at the raincoat. "Er...right." Mitsune LAUGHS. "Oh man, Mom really did do that?" Lily sighs. "Yes." Beowulf smiles. "Well, it did keep the human wolves away..." Jaqueline casts a flight spell on Moonshade. "Concentrates on flying." Kanna says, "Oh man." She quirks a smile, and looks curiously at Kozue. Jaqueline floats up into the air herself. "See?" Moriya says, "Anyway. I really should get back to Gainax, now. Everyone...congratulations on your latest victory. Hopefully, we'll all meet up again at Marching." Drake looks at Mitsune and Moriya, then says to Touga, "You know, he looks more like you than his father." ======= ======= Moriya OOCly snorts. o.o ======= ======= Beowulf says, "Take care of things down there, Moriya. Stay well." Kozue says to Kanna, "Well, I know Ruka has been talking about asking you out for a while." Kanna nods. "Take care, Moriya, and say hi to Anno for us." She give him a quick hug. ===== ===== Beowulf asks, "OOC Oh, did Moriya tell Bey yet about the command performance for the Logrus?" ===== ===== Kanna says, "We'll get all the war storeis outta each other later." She grins. Kanna *blinks* and that, and coughs. "He has?" Kanna blushes. Gabrielle says, "Yrah, you have a good one, Moriya." Gabrielle blinks. "Captain Ruka?" Jaqueline flies over Moriya, circling him once. "baibai, cousin." Kozue nods. "Should I tell him to go ahead and ask?" :) Gabrielle says, "I heard his forelock was some sort of sentient parasite." Beowulf says, "Watch out for folks with gatling guns making trump contacts, too." He grins. Kanna says, "That's a baseless, unfounded rumor, sis." Moriya nods, and pulls out a trump card, hugs Kanna, waves to Jacqui and the rest, and kisses Mitsune on the lips quickly, before taking his arm from around her. "Do be careful this time. I mean it. And don't worry...I won't tell Motoko about your slipup." ===== ===== Jaqueline says, "OOCly pause" Jaqueline says, "OOCly game in" Moriya OOCly re's. ======= ======= Moriya pauses, and amends, "Yet." Kanna exclaims, "Later, Moriya! Take care!" Mitsune twitches. "She's going to crucify me." Moriya beams cheerfully, and trumps out. Kanna exclaims, "No! No crucifixions! Crucifixions -bad-!" Kanna also winks. Beowulf smiles at Mitsune and hugs Lily. "I'm sure we can find ways to keep him... quiet, yes?" Mitsune smiles. "I'll find a way." Kanna lets out a breath. "SO! Shall we all tromp on home to Amber and get some well-deserved rest and braincleaning?" Jaqueline exclaims, "home would be good!" Kanna looks to her sister. "Sis, if you'd do the honors?" Beowulf says, "I'd imagine so, cousin." He smiles at Kanna and gives her a little affectionate shake. Gabrielle grins, whips out her Trump Guitar, and starts playing 'Paradise City.' Kanna chuckles, and quickly hugs Beowulf back, affectionately. And a Trump Gate to Castle Amber opens up. Kanna escorts everyone through. Hey, first in, last out. Jaqueline smiles, grabs Shinobu and Moonshade's hands, and flies through ===== ===== Jaqueline says, "OOCly only to crash headlong into the castle wa... naaaaah." ===== ===== Beowulf makes an 'after you' gesture to Lily, Mother, and Aunt Utena, then follows them through. Jaqueline asks, "in that case, can i have a word with the man in black about his maybe son?" Jaqueline says, "I did enough :)" Kanna OOCly says, "anyway, night." Jaqueline says, "she'll be pissed at shaft, but we'll get along just fine" Kanna OOCly says, "Um, but pattern would undo all of that." Kanna OOCly says, "Wouldn't it?"
