Moyer" To: John Biles , "Amy \"General Chaos\" Borden" , Chris Angelini Subject: [Amber/UnS] Beowulf, Kanna -- Facing the Music, Stuff about Spikards Kanna OOCly says, "You know, I should've figured that our little mission didn't quite go as expected. My log number for it was UnS.013.txt :)" Beowulf says, "Heh." Fuyutsuki asks, "OOC Okay, were y'all going to go report to nanami in the morning first or something else?" Kanna OOCly says, "And going with two assumptions on this.. that 1), Nagisa bailed early in the morning to get Mikage and Nausicaa to investigate what happened, and 2) Lian also bailed to do some stuff, leaving a note behind. That work? I imagine Gaby knows where to point folks to breakfast in the lighthouse." Beowulf says, "OOC I think Kanna wanted to chat for a bit first." Kanna OOCly says, "Nanami right after breakfast and a lil' discussion." Fuyutsuki says, "OOC Sounds reasonable, Phil." Kanna OOCly says, "coolness." Fuyutsuki says, "OOC Okay. Please don't spend four hours on this, as I would like to get y'all moving along today." Kanna OOCly says, "Right, right. We'll keep it short. ^_-;" ==================================== ==================================== Beowulf takes stock of the lighthouse's kitchen and cooks them a bit of breakfast. Kanna does stretches in the common area, finishes, and comes intot he dining area. "Mrf. Morning, Bey." Beowulf nods at Kanna. "Mornin', cousin. Have some cinnamon toast." The_Prof pages, "Your lead. :)" to you. You page, "Thanks. :)" to The_Prof. Kanna grins a bit. "Thanks, cous." She snags about 3/4ths of the provided toast, and cereal, juice and milk, and sits down and starts noshing. It would appear that she's a heavy eater, though it's not like anything Beowulf hasn't encountered before. Beowulf raises an eyebrow at her appetite, then nods and finishes off his meal. "What's up for this morning? Report in to Nanami?" Kanna looks down at a note in one hand, sighs a bit, and nods. "Yeah... since Lian bailed to check up on some more stuff," she waves the note in question, "That'll be the first thing on the agenda. Then I figure we're gonna be running around too much in seperate directions to allow us to keep in touch easy." Beowulf grins ruefully. "Probably. You going to be checking up on Renard?" Kanna keeps eating. "... worried 'bout Lian. She was clearly unsettled by what the prophesy said, and she was a little distracted when we got back together, but..." She shrugs. "Can't check that now." She smiles a bit. "Pursuing more of that, yeah. Got that appointment with Arimi, and I want to touch base with a few more folks, mebby see Lucien before he patternwalks... he was planning to, this morning." Kanna says, "Oh, and to inform Sumire that things look like they're starting to move. I'm gonna be hoofing around a -lot- today." she grins. Kanna says, "I figure we should probably try to rendevous or check in sometime this evening... you were saying you might end up trying to head to CAFAM's? What for, asides fishing rods?" Beowulf says, "I can well imagine." He smiles back. "Life has certainly gotten interesting, hasn't it? I have to check in with Mitsune about what she found with the map.. and yes, a trip to CAFAM." Beowulf asks, "If we're going to be going into places where a spikard is being guarded, I'd like to have a bit heavier ammo than usual. Say, silver Elder Sign bullets?" Beowulf says, "I could probably Pattern-charge 'em myself, but empowered Elder Signs are a bit beyond my abilities." Kanna whistles. "Those... would be pretty damn useful." She then considers. "Hrm. Lemme add something to my list... I could be mistaken, but I'm -pretty- certain mom stockpiled some Elder Sign weaponry after the Crisis. Just in case. They were used for the Keep assault, after all... I should check with Johann and see what he can dig up in the way of crossbows..." Beowulf nods. "Oh, while I'm thinking about Ember -- what'd Mia find out about that spice?" You page, "did Mia ever get back on that? :)" to Akemi. Akemi pages, "You haven't talked to her about it." to you. Beowulf says, "Still, while Elder Sign crossbows are nice, I'd like something that could fit my guns." Kanna chuckles a bit. "True. Wouldn't hurt for my own to have some as well. But it doesn't hurt to have backups. And.... -damn-, it slipped my mind to call her back, what with everything." Kanna asks, "want me to call now, or wait until later?" Beowulf says, "Might not be a bad idea now, before we meet Nanami; we could at least get it to her then, if it's benign." Kanna nods, and pulls out her trump deck, and pulls out Mia's card. Her dishes are now empty... Kanna's apparently also a -fast- eater when it's needed. Beowulf blinks and takes the dishes over to the sink to wash. ============ ============ You page, "[Kanna tries trumping Mia.]" to Akemi. Akemi pages, "Mia takes the call. "Yes, your ladyship?"" to you. You page, "[Kanna smiles. "Hey, Mia. Sorry 'bout not getting back to you earlier... it ended up being a long afternoon and night. Were you able to determine anything unusual about that spice I asked you to look at?"]" to Akemi. Akemi pages, "She looks embarrassed. "It's an aphrodesiac."" to you. You page, "[Kanna chuckles a bit, and smiles. "That's what we figured... can you hand it back over here? I think we'll be able to dispose of it just fine."]" to Akemi. Akemi pages, "She passes it to you." to you. You page, "[Kanna accepts it. "Thanks, Mia. Take care." She passes a hand over the card, cutting the connection.]" to Akemi. ============ ============ Beowulf watches Kanna with mild interest as she trumps Mia, and keeps an eye out around the room. Kanna talks for a bit on the trump, pulls out the tin of spice, and then passes a hand over the trump, finishing the convo. She then looks up at Bey. "Congrats, it's an aphrodesiac." She grins, ruefully. Beowulf asks, "Somehow I'd figured." He blushes slightly. "Oh, well... you have a use for it? Or would Nanami still like it?" Kanna coughs. "Me? Not personally, and not seeing anybody right at the moment.... You were the one who bought it, it's up to you wether you want to flush it or keep it for a rainy day. Hey, you never know." She grins. Beowulf asks, "Uh-huh," he comments dryly. "Anydehoodle, we probably ought to go see Nanami... unless there's something else you want to discuss?" Kanna considers, and then nods. "One last thing... I... noticed you started to get worried last evening, when were were talking about the prophesy and sis spoke without remembering doing so... I talked to dad about it." She quirks a slight smile. "Basically, don't worry about it too much... you've just gotta remember that sis is tied to a Pattern, and it knows things she doesn't. Sometimes, it speaks through her. Not -often-, and I think it freaks sis a bit as well, but.." She shrugs. Beowulf says, "Ah, so. No problem." He smiles. "I suppose I've gotten a bit paranoid, wandering in some of the places I've been." Beowulf asks, "Shall we pay a visit to Nanami?" Kanna chuckles a bit, and gets up from her seat, leaning over to scribble a note to Nagisa thanking him for his hospitality. "Let's go and face the music, yeah." Beowulf digs in his bag for his trump of Amber. "Ready when you are, unless you'd like to drive." He grins. Kanna smirks, and takes Bey's hand. "Hey, you're the guy who took me out last night, in a way." She winks. "Though I suspect Lily might take offense. Or not. She's funny that way." Beowulf says, "Well, I'm sure she realizes there's nothing like *that* going on." He grins. Beowulf trumps them to Amber. Kanna says, "If there was, -I'd- sure like to know." She laughs. Beowulf says, "Well, if I see someone that meets your standards, shall I send him your way?" He grins again. "I know this one fellow, likes to dress in black velvet, but hey, no one's perfect..." Kanna looks thoughtful. "Hmmm... black velvet... eh, we can worry about it later." She winks. Kanna OOCly says, "Okay, what time is it, and where should Auntie Nanami be?" Kanna OOCly says, "and where zactly did Bey trump us? *wg*" Fuyutsuki says, "OOC Courtyard of the Castle. It's mid-morning, so Nanami's probably down in her office." The_Prof pages, "Kanna does like beards, yes? Neat black goatee, eyes that seem to draw the soul... :)" to you. You page, "Are we thinking the master, here, you fool? :) *bap* :) Actually, I think think she's fully decided, yet." to The_Prof. The_Prof pages, "Why, however did you guess? :) He's the sort who could use a lady who can keep up with him, and keep him out of trouble..." to you. You page, "[Kanna baps Bey good-naturedly]" to The_Prof. The_Prof pages, "You don't think she's fully decided?" to you. You page, "Who her 'ideal' guy would be. Prolly jsut gonna let it develop." to The_Prof. The_Prof pages, "Ahhh. :)" to you. Beowulf sets off to Nanami's office with Kanna. Kanna heads as well, figuring with evertything that after they get to Nanami's, they'll part ways and she'll go see Arimi, and then Sumire, since they're in the ambassadorial quarter of the city, approximately... You soon reach Nanami's office. Beowulf asks her secretary if she has time to see them. The secretary ushers you in. It's the same as ever, except for the large chunk of amber on the desk inside which is a golden ring of a lion swallowing its own tail. She's using it as a paperweight. Nanami is writing a letter as you enter. Kanna blinks at the amber-with-ring, and then looks a bit more closely at the amber, and just stares a bit. You page, "Patternsight. That be a lion spikard?" to Akemi. Akemi pages, "You can't tell, as the amber is infused with Patternygoodness, obscuring examinationof the ring." to you. You page, "Patternygoodness good. Keeping thingie sealed good." to Akemi. Beowulf bows respectfully to Nanami. "Good morning, Aunt Nanami." Kanna catches herself, and bows to Nanami. "Morning, Aunt Nanami." Akemi pages, "You can't tell, as the amber is infused with Patternygoodness, obscuring examinationof the ring." to you. Nanami says, "Good morning." Nanami doesn't sound like she means it. Beowulf says, "A bad night, Aunt?" He stops, and shakes his head quickly. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to pry. We had... mixed results last night." Kanna mmms, and glances at Beowulf. She then speaks up. "Well... we can report that the Kashmir Trading Collective ship is very, very sunk." Beowulf says, "And the opium didn't make it to Amber, as far as we can tell. On the other hand, we had an altercation with 60 Siamese monks, and were possibly identified before the ship blew up." Kanna nods. "Yeah. At about the time the tidal wave also hit the ship." Nanami says, "Yes. As I understand it, the three of you now have a price on your heads in Siam and Sind to the tune of 1 Comet each." Nanami says, "For Piracy." Nanami says, "And the KTC has lodged a formal protest at the destruction of a ship hauling 'sugar' at the hands of members of Amber's royal family." Kanna sighs, and hangs her head. "Damn." Beowulf sighs and looks woebegone. "Well, it could be worse. At least it doesn't sound like it was considered an official act of the Amberite government." Nanami says, "Oh yes, the Siamese government has protested your killing of sixty monks on their way to Amber to begin missionary work." Kanna groans. Nanami says, "The Nogul Ambassador, on the other hand, apparently wants to outfit the two of you as pirates in his service." Kanna blinks at that. Beowulf just shakes his head and looks stricken. "I take full responsibility, Aunt. I should have asked for more advice in covert ops work." Kanna says, "... I think I'm gonna have to take a pass at that, thanks." She quirks a cockeyed smile. "I think piracy, overall, doesn't quite agree with me." She then nods. "And I as well." Beowulf says, "Somehow, I don't think I'm interested." a corner of his mouth just barely tilts up, before going back down. Kanna says, "We can go over things with a fine-toothed comb after the fact, but that doesn't change what -happened-." Beowulf nods. The_Prof pages, "A full Comet... dang." to you. You page, "That's not small potatoes." to The_Prof. Nanami says, "I believe the most important problem here was failure to disguise yourself." Nanami says, "Although if you'd simply torpedoed the boat from below, that wouldn't have been an issue." Kanna mmms. "Our curiosity got the better of us. The ship itself was cold-iron lined within the wood." Beowulf nods. "When we found out it was lined with cold iron, I'm afraid I overreacted; I thought the iron would dispell the torpedos before they could sink the ship." Nanami says, "It's a typical smuggler's trick. The lining has to be very thin or the ship sinks. A decent ram will punch through it with ease." Nanami frowns. "Well, at least noen of you got captured." Beowulf ahhhs. "It seems there was a lot I had to learn about anti-smuggling work." Kanna nods. "Yeah. We'll know better for next time... though I kinda doubt we'll be trying -this- again anytime soon." She sighs. Beowulf asks, "Along those lines, it seems Kanna and I have something to learn about damage control." He sighs. "How would you recommend minimizing the damage to Amber?" Nanami says, "For the moment, we have been claiming we don't know what happened." Beowulf nods. Nanami says, "I would suggest that you make yourself scarce from Amber for a while." Nanami says, "Once tempers cool and I have more time to try to gather proof of what really happened, we can settle this more effectively." Beowulf chuckles ruefully. "That fits with something I'm going to need to do anyway, I suspect." Kanna nods. "With the storms and turbulance recently... gotcha. Going to need to run around today I think, but I'll probably be cutting it short anyway to help Bey if I can, or get back on the trail of le Fox, which should take me out of here for a while. And preferrably NOT in the direction of Sind or Siam." Beowulf decides this is probably as good an opening as anything. "I was told that you know a fair amount about spikards?" Nanami says, "I have a small piece of information for you in that regard, Kanna. We've discovered that two months ago, Renard stole some items from Horatio Walpole's collection. They've now surfaced in Begma." Nanami smiles at Beowulf. "I have studied the lore these last forty years, yes." Beowulf says, "To make a long story short, I ran into an old enemy of mine in a fast-time trip last evening before the raid. He was convinced that I had the map to a spikard, in the runes from those vases I had, one of which was stolen by the cultists who had that obelisk." Beowulf says, "Fortunately, I'd traced a copy of the runes before I lost the vase, and they do indeed appear to form a map." You page, "Who's Horatio Wapole again? I forget nationality and location." to Akemi. Akemi pages, "He's the head of the KTC." to you. Akemi pages, "and brother to the mayor of Amber City" to you. You page, "Oooo. Peace offering. Hopefully. Save the plausable deniability things." to Akemi. Nanami looks curious. "Any idea which spikard?" Beowulf says, "There were ten runes left over after forming the map; the three I could identify say 'Dragon', 'Sleep', and 'Temple.'" Nanami says, "Hmm. Possibly a Dragon Spikard, then." Beowulf says, "I was hoping to talk to Anthy before setting out, and see if she could translate them; if not, I was going to drop by a friend I know at Panopticon and see if he could translate them." Kanna blinks at Nanami's news, and nods. "Right. I'll have to check that out, Aunt Nanami. -Might- help defuse things with the KTC, might not. Got the location in particular, or were they caught on the selling and then returned?" Beowulf looks at her quizzically. "Dragon spikard?" Beowulf says, "I've heard of the Lion spikards, which were supposed to be under Annadil's control, but I've never heard of Dragon spikards." Nanami says, "One of the groups of Spikards. Believed to have been made by or for the Serpent. Mostly weilded by Chaosians." You page, "Hm. Is it plausable that Kanna could have heard from Corrine the bit that Hiko had heard, long ago during her icon quest, about the proclimations of the Hanged man, including "FIVE RINGS FOR THE LORDS OF AMBER...SEVEN FOR THE DRAGONS....NINE FOR MORTAL MEN DOOMED TO BE THE LION'S PRIDE..." to Akemi. You page, "(since Hiko told Corrine the story of their lives, overall, during the 20 in Amber, and Kanna's kinda an Annadil Crisis buff, sicne it tied with Juri...)" to Akemi. Akemi pages, "Probably not, as I suspect Hiko probably didn't remember all those babblings well." to you. You page, "Damn. :) Ohwell." to Akemi. You page, "(and it'd been 200 years fr -her- at that point, so... *shrug*)" to Akemi. Beowulf hmmms. "Sounds a bit more dangerous than the usual spikard." Beowulf smiles slightly. "If there *is* such a thing as a 'usual spikard', that is." Nanami says, "There are no 'usual' spikards." Kanna chuckles a bit at that, but nods. Beowulf says, "In any event, it sounds like something that shouldn't just be left lying around. I'd been planning on trying to retrieve it, and I thought you'd be a logical custodian if I succeeded." Nanami smiles a little at that. "I would happily guard it." Beowulf waits politely to see if Nanami has an answer for Kanna before continuing. Nanami says, "They were sold to House Winfri." Nanami says, "It was a collection of eight Sindhi dieties made from electrum." Nanami says, "about a hand in height each." Kanna nods, and purses her lips. "Mmmm. Lots of stuff moving around. Those Rebman daggers, these statuettes... I take it Wapole's taken issue with House Winfri and gotten them back, or is that tied up at the moment?" Nanami says, "Walpole is not aware of this yet." Nanami says, "As the statuettes can't be proven yet to be his." Beowulf smiles. "Sounds like a good opportunity, cousin." Nanami says, "They match the description of the stolen statuettes, but we have no proof yet." Kanna nods. "Right. I'll have to investigate this, then." She quirks a smile. Beowulf asks, "Is there anything more you might be able to tell me before I set out, Aunt? I'd been planning on stopping by CAFAM to pick up some supplies first... oh, is there anything I can get for you there?" Nanami says, "Spikards basically are processors of magical energies." Nanami says, "They pull energy from shadow and process it into spells at incredibly high speeds." Beowulf nods, having heard that much. Nanami says, "they're not much use unless you know Magick." Nanami says, "Dragon spikards resemble a dragon swallowing its tail. Each Spikard is designed to work best with certain kinds of magic." Beowulf asks, "Would conjuration count as Magick in that sense?" Kanna listens to this, lodging it into her mental database. Nanami says, "Yes." Beowulf nods. Nanami says, "With a spikard, one can conjure at incredible speeds." Beowulf says, "That could be useful at times." Nanami says, "Annadil possessed the master spikard which could control any of the spikards he made." Beowulf says, "I've heard of what some of the 'known' spikards are supposed to do, like Magnus and Gaerthos..." Nanami says, "It is now lost beyond the Gate of Revolution." Beowulf asks, "Hm. It controls just the spikards he made?" Nanami says, "I assume he would have taken control of Drake if he could control other spikards with it." Kanna mmms and nods at that. "Point." Beowulf says, "That could be very... dangerous, if Those Beyond the Gate now have the master spikard in their hands." Beowulf says, "Ah, true. That makes me feel a bit better." Nanami says, "Indeed. None of the Lion spikards are safe to use." Nanami says, "Oh yes, before I forget." Beowulf asks, "Do you know how many of the Lion spikards are out there?" Beowulf pauses and nods. Nanami takes a small obelisk out of her desk. "There's said to be nine." Nanami hands Beowulf the Obelisk. "This can track the energies that monolith you gave me gives off." Beowulf asks, "Hm. And what of the monolith itself?" Nanami says, "I'm still studying it." Nanami says, "I believe it's a construct manifestation." Beowulf examines the obelisk in his hand, and nods. Then BLINKS. "A... construct manifestation." Kanna hrms at that, curiousity piqued. Kanna says, "Well." Beowulf says, "I'm not sure I like the sound of that." Nanami says, "Enabling its bearers to travel through shadow and so on." Nanami says, "It probably connects to some giant pyramid using Pyramid Power, or the like." Kanna nods. "Like how sis can help the folks who uses her own." Beowulf snerks a bit at the mental image Nanami's words bring up. "Right. Though one really shouldn't sneer at the abilities of *any* construct." Nanami says, "I've isolated it for now." Beowulf says, "That's a Good Thing." Kanna says, "That's true. The question there then becomes how they put it together, and what powers it taps. Good call." Kanna says, "Something allowing shadow-travel at least, but on the flip side, there's multiple ways to do -that- anyway." Beowulf says, "Yes. It does mean a wider range for them to have come from... but honestly, I'm not sure about tracking them anyway at the moment. I'm actually starting to think it was a stroke of good fortune that they separated the three vases, as it breaks up the set that forms the map." Kanna says, "Yeah." Beowulf asks, "Backtracking a bit... you said there were rumored to be nine Lion spikards? Do we know where most of them are?" Nanami says, "No, we don't." Nanami says, "I have one of them which Ota brought me, which had been used to control Wakaba." Beowulf says, "...that also worries me. If those Beyond the Gate have the master spikard, and can use it to puppet-master the people wearing the other eight... well, let's hope that at least *some* of them are still hidden at the moment." Nanami says, "I have some reason to believe Moire's spikard may have been a Lion Spikard." Beowulf's eyebrows climb into his hairline. "A *Lion* spikard? Oh, dear." Kanna nods at that, wincing a bit. "Yeah." And then blinks. "Eh? Gaerthos? Oh man...." Beowulf says, "I suppose it would explain some of the things that happened in the Annadil crisis." Nanami says, "There's some reason to believe the Lion Spikards come in three sub-groups--3 of Fire, 3 of Water, 3 of Air." Beowulf nods. Nanami frowns. "Which leads me to fear there might be 6 more to make 3 for each of the other elements." Kanna says, "Pyricorn I hope not." Beowulf says, "I'm starting to think it would be a good idea to recover the master spikard. I don't like the idea of the Outsiders pulling strings." Kanna arches an eyebrow at Beowulf. Kanna says, "Bey? You even -start- thinking in that direction by the most well-known route to it, and I -will- be forced to slap you silly, y'know." Beowulf says, "Think about how much trouble Annadil was able to cause with it... oh. Well, yes. I wouldn't try to open the Fount at cousin Shizumaru's Keep, really I wouldn't." Kanna says, "gooooood." Beowulf says, "Though it might be worth asking Kafuin about possible ways to get it out of there." Kanna says, "If it's even possible now. But... that's getting to places I don't want to think about right now, and you've got stuff to do, and I've got stuff to do, and we shouldn't be standing around here taking up Aunt Nanami's time more than we have." She smiles, sheepishly. Beowulf says, "In any event, I should probably worry about the spikard we know mostly where it is." Nanami says, "That would be a good thing to accomplish, and a spectacular way to die horribly." Beowulf nods to Kanna. Beowulf looks puzzledly at Aunt Nanami. Die horribly? "Surely it's not that bad?" Kanna just -looks- at Beowulf. Kanna says, "Outsiders big. Outsiders bad. Outsiders cause sane and not-sane people to wet themselves. Going -into- their territory...." She shudders a bit. Nanami says, "If you were fortunate, the Outsiders would only devour you slowly over a thousand years." Beowulf asks, "I suspect Kanna's right, though, about our taking up too much of your time. Any other suggestions for going after this one?" Nanami says, "The question does come to mind as to why clues to a spikard were buried in three vases at an archaelogical site." Nanami says, "You might want to go back where you found them and investigate a little." Beowulf covers his eyes. "...yes." He sighs. "I should have thought of that." Kanna pats Bey on the shoulder. "Well, now that they're after -you- for the vases that you -don't- have, perhaps you can go back and check it if it hasn't been overly disturbed." Beowulf says, "Yes. Assuming that someone else isn't staking it out to see if anyone else shows up looking for it... well. Deal with that as we come to it." Beowulf asks, "What's the best way to safely handle a spikard, if we manage to get our hands on it? And what are some of the traditional guards for one?" Nanami says, "First, see if there's any spells set on it." Nanami says, "If not, you're safe as long as you don't put it on." Beowulf hmms. "If there are, what's the best way to isolate it?" Nanami says, "Depends on what the safeguard magics are, which cuold be virtually anything." Nanami says, "Probably trapping it in a magical sinkhole is best." Kanna says, "... check for compulsions. I remember mom being rather insistant on if you're ever near a spikard, if you can check for them." Nanami says, "As for guards...who knows. Normally, they spend most of their time in people's hands." Nanami says, "I'm inclined to suspect the one you have a map to is built into a construct to power it." Nanami says, "Which is why no one is wearing it." Beowulf asks, "Magical sinkhole. Right. Best idea on how to make one? Hm, and what level of spellcasting would you need to check it out?" Nanami says, "You'd need a sorceror to make a magical sinkhole." Nanami says, "Or alternately, you could use Pattern to turn off magic in the shadow you're in." Nanami says, "And the better the sorceror who studies the item the better." Beowulf says, "...another construct. Great. How many new ones are going to show up now, anyway?" He hmms. "I wonder what kind of construct it'd be? Perhaps if it could be taken over, hopefully better than Morganstern was." Kanna says, "Depends on how much of a self-will it has. With a spikard powering it..." She shrugs. Beowulf asks, "Turning off Magic sounds like a good idea, if I can manage it, and if my conjurations don't fall to pieces because of that. Of the sorcerors in Amber, who would you think has the skill to successfully work with one?" Nanami asks, "You mean to study one to see if it is safe?" You page, "Why do I get the feeling that whenever Kanna and Bey adventure, Kanna's the voice of reason? :)" to Akemi and The_Prof. Nanami asks, "Or to use it?" Beowulf says, "Right." Nanami says, "Myself. Yumi. Fuyutsuki on a good day." Beowulf says, "To study it, determine if it's safe, determine if there are any compulsions, and the like." The_Prof pages, "One more reason to head by the Library, I think." to you. You page, "That'll be up to you, then, as Kanna'll be running around lots. *wg*" to The_Prof. The_Prof pages, "heh." to you. Nanami says, "Perhaps Mikage or Nagisa." Beowulf nods. Nanami says, "That's about it." Nanami says, "Who I am sure could study one skillfuly enough." Beowulf nods. "Thank you very much, Aunt. Anything else I can do to make your job a bit easier? I'm planning on leaving Amber for CAFAM by this afternoon... d'you think that will be soon enough?" Nanami says, "That should be fine." Nanami says, "Try to avoid letting the Siamese ambassador see you." Beowulf nods. "Thank you, Aunt. Kanna? Anything else you want to ask?" Kanna nods, and shakes her head. "I'll try to keep low, such as I can, and prolly get sis to get me over to Begma soon." Beowulf bows to Aunt Nanami again. "I appreciate this. Very much. And I apologize again for causing you this trouble." Kanna says, "Thanks for the heads up, Aunt Nanami. We'll try to keep things to a low roar, really." She quirks a slight smile, and bows as well. Nanami nods her head and goes back to her paperwork as you depart. Kanna heads out with Bey, and snags his arm for a moment before they split up. "Well. Looks like we'll be running around -more- than a bit... trump in the evening to discuss stuff, since we'll be out and about and Shadow before the night's out, I think?" Beowulf says, "Sounds good to me, Kanna." He smiles. "I think we're both going to have more than enough to do." Kanna sighs, but nods, smiling. "Yeah, story of our lives. If I hear from Lian, I'll relay to you... if you hear from her, relay to me?" She then pauses. "Do you even have a trump of Lian? I do, 'cause she's hung around up in Ember enough, but..." Kanna says, "'cause we need to -warn- her, too." Beowulf says, "Afraid not, Kanna. You're right, though; we need to warn her." Kanna nods, and taps her gaby manifestation. "Hey, sis? Got a spare of one of mom's trumps of Lian lying around? Bey could use one..." "I'll make him one and trump him once it's done." Beowulf nods. "Thank you." Kanna says, "Cool. Thanks, sis." She quirks a smile. Kanna lets out another breath. "Right. WEll, this is where we part ways, then. Seeya around, Bey." Beowulf says, "Take care, Kanna."
